1) What is LTE ?
- LTE stands for Long Term Evolution. LTEi (Long Term Evolution) is initiated by 3GPPi to
improve the mobile phone standard to cope with future technology evolutions and
needs.
2) What Speed Does LTE offer?
- LTE provides downlink peak rates of at least 100Mbit/s, 50 Mbit/s in the uplink and RAN
(Radio Access Network) round-trip times of less than 10 ms.
3) What is VoLTE?
- VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE.
- Volte allows us to make call over LTE network via IP/IMS based server. Due to this we
get HD voice quality , better connectivity and at the same time we can use LTE internet
services.
4) What is VoWiFI?
- Voice over WiFi
- VoWi-Fi stands for Voice over (EPC-integrated) Wi-Fi. VoWi-Fi is a complementary
technology to VoLTE and utilises IMS technology to provide a packet voice service
delivered over IP via a Wi-Fi network. Where possible, VoLTE calls may be seamlessly
handed over between LTE and Wi-Fi and vice versa. Conversational video is also possible
via Wi-Fi (see ViLTE).
5) What are the benefits of VoWiFi Over Volte ?
- Can make calls without the need for a mobile signal (e.g. in a remote location or from
within a property with thick walls
- Benefit from security based on SIM-based authentication as for VoLTE
- Experience better indoor coverage
6) Which are the Major Mobile service provider / Mobile Operator in India? Which operator

7) Which technology is the latest generation of wireless network technology? Explain or tell us
about the development from previous generation?
- 5th Generation or 5G
- This new generation of wireless tech is expected to offer more speed, lower latency and
the ability to connect more devices, such as IoT devices. Speeds of one Gigabit per
second (Gbps) are expected to be typical, but it could potentially get as fast as 10 Gbps.
