INTRODUCTION

The work immersion program is formal training with company supervisors to

learn by watching and do the other things ordered by the supervisor. The students

must undergo the on-job-training so they learn how to perform responsibility

effectively. Work immersion is done by the students by performing tasks or

processes related to their selected course. The trainees typically perform tasks that

are connected to their job functions with the supervision of supervisors. This type of

training is typically used to boost the trainees’ skill set and to increase productivity.

Work immersion is one of the requirements for the students because they

learn a lot of things with the help of their respective supervisors particularly when

they encounter problems; it helps the students to gain experience from the company.

Work immersion training uses the regular or existing workplace tools, machines,

documents, equipment, knowledge, and skills necessary for an employee to learn and

to effectively perform his or her job.

Objectives Significance of Work Immersion

The main objective of work immersion is to acquaint the students formally to

a real-life workplace environment. This will help the students explore the relationship

between the knowledge and skills acquired in college with those required in the

working situations. This enables students to understand and respond better to

market demands.

Work immersion is significant because it takes skills training into the real

world and teaches students to produce in a different, more adult, environment.

Students may well pick up new skills they can use for a variety of purposes. Many

students may continue on with an employer after on-the-job training ends, leading toa

successful new stream of income.

THE TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Tasks Performed/Specific Tasks Assigned

The trainee was assigned to the Properties and performed different kinds of

tasks such as filing documents, encoding and arranging purchase numbers in

alphabetical order, delivering papers for signature, answering telephone calls,

labeling, creating inventory, balancing official receipt numbers, canvassing office

supplies, purchasing equipment, and encashing money from the cashier.

Observed Strengths of the Training Area

The trainee observed that the employees of the department were very

responsible and active on their designated tasks, especially her supervisor who

teaches her the different ways on how to do the tasks and solve a problem in their

area.

Problems Encountered

One of the problems that the trainee encountered was when he delivered the

updated running bill and the patients wanted an explanation of why their bills run so

high. I could not explain the reasons for such.

The trainee also observed that some of the employees violate the rules and

regulations of the company like not wearing ID's and coming to work late. The

hospital also lacks some necessary tools and equipment. Some of the employees do

not even have their own chairs and tables, especially from Monday to Wednesday.

While there are employees who do not have their own computer. These

insufficiencies make the performance inefficient and cause pending or delay of

processes.

Daily Journal

Day 1: March 1 2024

I was eager to start my work immersion since I know that at South East-Asia

Institute of Trade and Technology, I will be learning new things. Before we were

assigned to our department, however, we had assistance and a tour of every

department from Mr. Leonard, Head of Properties Department at South East Asia

Institute of Trade and Technology, Las Piñas, so that we were familiar with them. She

went on to introduce us to the SEAITT staff. also covered the department's policies,

guidelines, and appropriate clothing code.

Day 2: March 4 2024

On the second day of work immersion at SEAiTT, I was assigned to the

Properties Department where SEAITT's uniforms and sports equipment are supplied.

I had to count and write it on the page where those items or uniforms were originally

encoded.

Day 3: March 5 2024

After learning from Sir Leonard how to request a move out form and gate

pass on my third day of work immersion, I feel extremely anxious. However, my

anxiety is not related to the task; rather, it stems from my goal to be an excellent

student OJT from San Nicholas. I just follow Dr. Ruie Reyes' advice to always be

courteous and respectful of teachers and students, and I'm happy with my

performance in the teacher-student interviews.

40

Day 4: March 6 2024

in my fourth emmersion I was assigned to count uniform and intrams t-shirt

and p.e uniform. and next I was placed in admissions to fix computers.

Day 5: March 7 2024

.I was given the responsibility of giving the students their intrums t-shirts

once more on the five day of my work immersion. There were more students that day

than there had been on the first and second, so I ran into several unpleasant people.

Thank God, though, I maintained my temper and was glad to meet some pupils.

Day 6: March 8 2024

On the sixth day of work immersion, I was again assigned to try out basketball. I

spent the whole day balancing the time to serve water for the basketball try outs.

Day 7: March 11 2024

On the seventh day of my work immersion, I was assigned to the bartenders

to count and see if there were cracks or not and to look for the uniformity of its types

such as glass plates.

Day 8: March 12 2024

on the eighth emmersion, just like the seventh one, you kept asking us to do

it so that someone could report c sir Leonard Estrimos, by the grace of God, we

finished it and we were all happy, and that's it, thank you.
