Direction:
1. Students will go to their identified groups.
2. Guess the movie or the story being flashed and give a simple summary
about it.
3. To know who to answer, clap three times and say your group name.
4. Every correct guess, the group will receive a point.
A. Lesson Proper 1. Presentation of the Lesson
Playing with Numbers
Directions:
1. Some numbers will be presented which has equivalent letter.
2. Reveal the mystery word solving the following problems. For
equivalence, look at the reference number.
3. The fastest group to identify the mystery word will have the highest
point.
4. After identifying, all members must clap to signal that they had finished
the activity.

2. Discussion
Summarizing- summarizing involves stating a work’s thesis and main
ideas “simply, briefly, and accurately”

Activity “DO ME RIGHT”


Directions:
1. Each group will be given an envelope that contains the basic rules in
summarizing.
2. After a 10-minute brainstorming, one representative will be called
in front to discuss the rule being given.
3. Another member should apply the basic rule by giving an example
using the given text.

BASIC RULES IN SUMMARIZING


1. Erase things that do not matter.
2. Only write down important points.
3. Erase things that repeat.
4. Trade general terms for specific names.
5. Use your own words to write the summary.

curriculum teaching areas.)

and creative thinking, as well as other higher order thinking skills.)

Lesson Activity. “PLAY WITH ME”
Directions. Each group will be given a task related to their interest and they
have to make a simple presentation about it.

Singing Group: They will have to listen to a song entitled “Imagine” by John
Lenon and summarize its message.
Visual Group: They will be given a photo essay regarding peace and
summarize its message.
Dancing Group: They will watch a 4-minute video of an interpretative dance
that talks about peace and make a summary of the message.
Sports Group: They will watch an advertisement from Sports and Peace and
they will have to summarize the content of it.

experiences.)
