Porto-Novo is a city where pollution is a great problem for the people who live in it. There
are some bad people who throw away garbage on the roads after sweeping their houses or rooms.
Some of them collect dirty water and garbage in the house and forget about them for many

weeks. At the same time there are some factories, cars, motorbikes and buses that reject in the
atmosphere a great quantity of fume; all that pollutes the air and causes damages to the
inhabitants’health.

During the rainy season, life becomes difficult for the people and most of them suffer from
malaria, breathing diseases etc.

To protect our environment the authorities must devise everybody through radio and TV station
to put the garbage into the garbage bin. They must also tell the people to change regularly the
motor-oil of their buses and motorbikes.
