Duties and Responsibilities.
• Carrying out strategic planning in development in the reserve.
• Investigating and collection of data and environmental changes.
• Detecting and collection of data on wildlife and environmental
changes.
• Detecting and enforcing offences under the wildlife (protection) act
and enforcing rules.
• Formulating and implementing of management plans for the
reserve.
• Carrying the message of conserving to the people and enlist public
support for nature and wildlife conservation.
• Control of poaching of animals and products.
• Giving talk to local parties, community groups, schools and institution and handling media enquiries.
• Managing and training of rangers on security issues.
• Management of the overall security of wildlife in the reserve.
Accomplishments.
• Established camping sites and infrastructure in the reserve which never existed before which has
resulted in increase of revenue accrued by tourists camping at the reserve.
• Open up new road network for easy accessibility of wild animals, erecting signage’s and improving
road infrastructures.
• Started a tortoise farm, improved rangers living conditions.
• Established proper chain of command structure that did not exist by appointing corporal to be in
charge of other rangers.
• Recruited an elephant whisperer which has made it easier for the tourists to view the elephants and
other wild animals.
• Have established good working relationship with neighboring community of baringo county which
has resulted to harmony and peace.

Duties and Responsibilities.
• Conducting investigation in cases such as theft, fraud, accidents and property damage.
• Overseeing the carrying out intelligence gathering for the detection and prevention of criminal
activities.
• Prepare and submitting various internal gathering for the detection and prevention of criminal
activities.
• Prepare quarterly and yearly budget for the running of the sub-county security budgets.
