Summer Holidays’ Homework (2024-25)

Class: IX

Dear Parents and Students,

As the summer vacation approaches, we hope you are looking forward to a well-deserved
break from the school routine. While relaxation is important, we also encourage you to keep
your minds active. To make the most of this vacation, we have designed various engaging
activities aimed at enhancing your learning skills and understanding of concepts. These
activities will not only serve as a fun way to stay engaged but also help in revising and
enriching your knowledge. The holiday homework has been thoughtfully crafted to blend
academic exercises with multidisciplinary and life skill projects, ensuring an interesting and
enriching experience for students.

The projects and assignments will be assessed as Subject Enrichment Activity, Portfolio, or
Art Integrated activity. We urge parents to motivate and support students in completing these
tasks to the best of their ability. Your encouragement plays a vital role in your child's learning
journey. The Holiday Homework should be completed neatly and submitted to the subject
teachers within a week of the school reopening.

We wish you all a fun-filled and safe summer vacation!

Best Regards

Q3. An object is dropped from rest at a height of 150 m and simultaneously another object
is dropped from rest at a height 100 m. What is the difference in their heights after 2 s if
both the objects drop with same accelerations? How does the difference in heights vary
with time?

Q4. An object starting from rest travels 20m in first 2 s and 160m in next 4 s. What will be
the velocity after 7 s from the start.

Q5. Two stones are thrown vertically upwards simultaneously with their initial velocities u1

Every bit counts

Hey there, fruit lovers! Here's the scoop: while enjoying your favourite fruits during the
holidays, save those seeds! Give them a quick rinse and sun-dry them to keep them fresh.
Then, in the final week of summer break, get ready for a special mission! Pack those seeds
up and bring to school after holidays which will be sent to the Give Me Trees Trust. They'll
work their magic to grow new trees and protect our environment. Or, if you're feeling extra
adventurous, find a nearby open area and plant those seeds yourself! Just remember to give
them lots of love and care for at least two years. It's a fruity way to save the planet!
