Functionality
• Support Multi-Row attributes for Content Server
Supports new indexing capability to allow multi-row attributes and to add or remove a set of
indexing fields from scanning.
• Support for Content Server Table Key Lookup (TKL) Workflow attributes
Extends support for Table Key Lookup fields of workflow attributes.
• Speed up scanning of large images
Improves the performance of Enterprise Scan processing of large documents by removing HDD
performance bottleneck.
• Watermark Imprint
Provides a possibility to imprint text onto a scanned image (similar to scanners printing on the
scanned pieces of paper).
Prints on all four corners.
Selects the information and variables to be used.
Allows to back-identify the physical paper after scanning without use of indexing data.
• Support for ArchiveLink+
Reads attribute definition from ArchiveLink+ document type, automatically generates indexing
fields in Enterprise Scan, and then archives the documents by setting the attribute values.
• Support for SAP Load Balancing scenarios
Adds support to connect to a Load-Balanced SAP System by using the SAP Message Server.
• Integrate SAP Incident Management Interface
Provides an option to create an incident to SAP by adding relevant information about the incident.
SAP’s Application Incident Management enables centralized and common incident and issue
message processing on multiple organization levels.
Configuration / Scripting
• Hide indexing fields
Provides a scripting method to hide indexing fields that is similar to read only fields.
• New API to check blank page in Processing extension script
Provides an API function (IsBlankPage) for use in the document processing step. With this API
the developer of a scan profile can identify if a page is blank or not.
The documentation of Document Pipeline for Content Server 16.0.0 is integrated within the Enterprise
Scan documentation. That is, the Installation Guide covers the installation of DPCS 16.0.0, and the
User and Administration Guide covers the configuration of DPCS 16.0.0.
The delivery is supplemented by the OpenText Imaging Enterprise Scan 16.0.0 Release Notes (the
document you are currently reading). The latest version of the Release Notes is available in
Knowledge Center. It is frequently updated with the most recent information.
To reset global fields to an empty value when the document stack is empty, administrator has to
explicitly set the registry variable ResetGlobalFieldsWhenEmpty.

6 Performance considerations
In this chapter you can find some recommendations to enhance the performance during mass
scanning.
2. Keep image resolution low (150 - 200 dpi) when scanning textual images.
2. Keep image resolution low (150- 200 dpi) when scanning textual images.
4. Use dual stream option (emulated by software or hardware) in case no imaging operation is
required during scanning or post scanning. You can use hardware dual stream in case of high
end scanner supporting multi streaming. The performance of hardware dual stream depends
on the scanners maximum capacity of sending multi streams and number of imaging
processors it has.
If the scanner hardware does not support dual streaming, use the “Emulated by software”
option. Using dual stream also improves post scanning operations like selection change,
document operations like separate, join, merge and so on.
6. Use auto cropping options, for example de-skew, rotate, landscape to portrait, and so on,
available in the scanner driver instead of using processing plug-ins.
7. Set paper orientation to landscape mode instead of portrait when scanning from feeder.
5. Minimize the number of views that are activated during background scanning.
SCAN-3283 DPSAP 16.0: Store scanned documents with barcode into SAP
/ AS-15476
The DPSAP scenario, Store scanned documents with barcode into SAP, fails without
any error shown in “dpinfo” program
This is solved in patch DPL-1600-002 which is included in the version 16 patch
collection 2016_01 and later.
IMAG-4763 Scanning fax attachments from Microsoft Outlook 2007 with “Cache Mode” on
The fax mailbox might be shared by multiple users and the Enterprise Scan user
might modify the personal MAPI profile to show the shared mailbox for incoming fax
as well. The user might move fax messages to the shared mailbox. If Enterprise
Scan is configured to use the dedicated MAPI profile to fetch fax messages, scanning
fails. To scan properly, the dedicated fax profile has to be configured not to use
“cached mode”.
IMAG-3325 Drag and drop with User Account Control (UAC) activated
The functionality for drag and drop from the local file system to the Enterprise Scan
application will not be available when Enterprise Scan is running with elevated
privileges. The functionality is only available when running with restricted privileges.
Document Pipeline for Content Server 16.0.0 with User Account Control (UAC)
activated
For DPCS 16.0.0 installation users are advised not to use the “Change” option for
“Modification” when UAC is activated. Instead the user has to modify the DPCS
through command prompt opened with the “Run as administrator” option.
Imprinter
It is possible to enter your own text to be imprinted on the page. The length of this text
is cut by the ISIS driver without any prior notification.
SCAN-1624 PDF or dual stream documents cannot be sent by email or manually exported to
file system
Sending of PDF or dual stream documents by email is not supported.
Exporting of PDF or dual stream documents to file system is not supported.
SCAN-2553 Long group names are not displayed in Configuration Download tool
Archive Server now supports longer user and group names (up to 255 characters).
Group names longer than 150 characters are not listed in Configuration Download tool
(ConfigurationDownload.exe).
SCAN-3153 Document Pipeline for Content Server 10.5 and WorkFlow Attributes
The Content Server WorkFlow attribute values are not updated in Content Server
when using DPCS 10.5.
SCAN-3293 Error during Import from SAP operation in case of missing SAP .Net Connector
3.0
In the environment where SAP .NET Connector 3.0 is not installed and user tries to
use Import from SAP functionality, an unhandled exception is thrown with error
missing sapnoc.dll.
SCAN-3247 Microsoft Windows 10: Color Picker is not loading in De-skew Page Processing
Plugin
In Page Processing Plugin, De-skew, the color picker is displaying partially.
SCAN-3223 Indexing: Compile, Load and Save buttons on freshly created indexing fields
Compile, Load and Save buttons have no effect on freshly created indexing fields.
The workaround is to close the dialog and edit the indexing fields. Then the buttons
are effective.
SCAN-3290 Incorrect .NET framework folder name under parent folder “redist” is shown
during installation
In case required .NET framework is not available on the client computer, Enterprise
Scan displays the message “.NET framework 4.0 extended to be installed and
available in folder DotNet_40”. However, it is available in DotNet_4 folder under redist
items.
