Assignment scenario.
In the second assignment, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to work
with others in a contextualized businesss situation, based upon the understanding of group
behavior and group dynamics. In addition, you are required to examine how power, politics,
and culture can be used to influence employee behavior and complete organisational goals.
In detail:
Part 1, in small groups (3 – 5 members per group) you are required to participate in a group
team acitivity for a given business situation to demonstrate effective team skills. The specific
activities in the class are upon the decision of lecturers for each class. Your mission is to
perform effective team skills. Then, you must write a 1500-word reflective essay that
introduces your team, analyzes group behavior and relevant development theories,
facilitators and obstacles that make your team effective/ineffective.
Part 2, you chose an organisation in Vietnam in the previous assignment (assignment 1),.
Now, you must show your understanding about power, politics and culture in the chosen
organisation and how they influence employee behavior and achieve organisational goals.
