SOLDIER’S SCHOOL

Dear Parents

Greetings from St Soldier’s

To keep the students engaged through the summer break (i.e. 24 May- 2 July), we have set the
Holidays’ Homework for them which we would like to share with you.
The Holidays’ Homework has been designed:
 To provide practice of academic subjects
 To help students learn independently
 To give opportunities to the children to fill learning gaps, if any
 To aid in the growth and development of various functional skills

The Holidays’ Homework includes:

 Project Work
 Worksheets of all the subjects

Please note that no extra marks will be awarded for using expensive folders and decoration
material. Please make use of the sheets or material available at home. Homemade folders
would be appreciated.
The worksheets can be done in any notebook available at home or the printouts can be
taken of the same and completed thereafter.
Parents should help the children in case they face difficulty in the completion of worksheets.
In case you have any doubt/query, please feel free to write to us on the School Pad.
We would also want to share some tips to make this time fruitful and memorable for
students:
 Let the students wake up early and develop a morning routine. Do yoga, meditation or just a
brisk walk.
 Provide them with opportunities to learn a new skill like painting, dance, music or public
speaking.
 Encourage them to stay active during the vacations. Let them not become lazy or oversleep.
 Have meals together as a family and spend as much time as you can with your children.
 Try and give them books instead of gadgets. Provide them with the opportunities to read more.
Encourage them to finish reading at least a couple of good books during the vacation.
 Let the children help in household chores, and learn some useful skills that way.
 Make sure children are consistent with the holidays’ homework. Avoid completing it on the
last day!
 Encourage all family members to drink plenty of water, take all precautions to stay safe from
the heatwave.

Let's stimulate learning with fun via Summer Home Learning Programme in this break!
Wishing you all good health and well-being!

Happy Holidays!
