The Environment

1. What can individuals/ companies/ government do to protect the environment?

2. Who has a greater responsibility to protect the environment: individuals,
companies, or governments?
3. What stops individuals/ companies/ governments from taking action to
improve the environment?
4. Which is more important: protecting the environment or economic growth?

4. Many people get the news from social media. Is this a good or a bad thing?

=> I think it’s a good thing because with the technological advancement people can
easily keep up date with current events in social platforms.Social media can expose
you to a wider range of viewpoints compared to traditional media sources.
But Social media algorithms can create echo chambers, where you primarily see information
that confirms your existing beliefs. False information and biased reporting can easily spread
on social media.

And it’s also Lack of Credibility: It can be difficult to verify the accuracy of
information on social media. Anyone can post anything, and there may not be fact-checking
involved.
Overal, social media is a useful tool for staying informed but you can truly recognise the
authentication of the information you see.

Education

 How do you think the education system in your country could be improved?

 What are the advantages of studying abroad?

=> Opportunity to access advanced education

As observed, the majority of Vietnamese students choose developed countries

such as the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, etc. as their favorite
destinations. Those are the world's leading quality of education, modern
educational system, as well as modern facilities for learning and research,
therefore, having access to new knowledge in a superior education environment
will greatly help Vietnamese students in preparing to enter the future labor
market.

Open their eyes and understandings

There will be no experience that will help students broaden and change their
minds rather than studying abroad. Going to another country, studying and
living with friends from all over the world with diversified nationalities,
religions, and cultures, they will definitely become a person of broader
understanding, much tolerance, a more multi-dimensional view of things, and an
open mindset of recognizing and solving problems.

Improve language skills

The speed of improving foreign language skills in its mother country can be
times faster than learning a foreign language in Vietnam because students will
have the opportunity to practice continuously, and live right in an environment
where a foreign language (English, French, etc.) is a mandatory element for
communication not only in school but also in daily life. Therefore, this is
definitely considered an advantage when studying abroad that anyone can
realize.

Broaden career opportunities

Studying abroad also helps students after graduation reach more career options
later. Graduates can find a job in the country they study in, move to another
country to find new opportunities and challenges, or return to Vietnam to join
foreign organizations and businesses with competitive salaries.

Building relationships around the world

In addition to the connection with the local people in the host country, once
becoming an international student, you will also have connections with friends
around the world, from all continents, who are ready to share and support you in
any situation, including during study as well as in life.

=> disadvantage:

Overcoming psychological barriers

Studying abroad has many benefits, however, parents and students also need to
consider other factors before deciding whether to study abroad or not. When
studying abroad, students may encounter psychological problems such as
loneliness, homesickness, and stress due to not being able to adapt to a new
living environment, culture shock, new ways of learning and working, and
making new friends, etc. Going to study abroad means that the distance will be
calculated by the time of flights, and their life will have to be more independent,
more self-reliant, and braver, so students will need to prepare a "solid" spirit
before going to study abroad.

Costs
Besides psychological problems, finance sometimes also brings troubles,
especially for families who are not ready to have enough money. In addition to
tuition fees, living expenses (including meals, accommodation, transportation,
shopping, medical services, etc.) should be carefully considered.

 Do you believe that formal education is essential for success in life?

Technology

 How has technology changed the way people communicate with each other?
 What are the positive and negative impacts of technology on society?

 Positive:

- keep in closer touch with relatives and friends. For example, parents can

easily contact with their son who is studying abroad.

- increase productivity: labour-saving gadgets such as wasing machines,

dishwasher, house-cleaning robots help people save a great deal of time

so that they can grasp this opportunities to work fingers to their bone to

increase efficiency.

- facilitate learning: distance learning is more and more popular. Thanks to

this, ielts learners from vietnam are able to sign up for an ielts course run

by simon who is the eminent ielts teacher from the uk => can access to

top-notch knowledge

=> negative

- people easily addicted to playing games, surfing the internet,….spend a lot of time

glueing to the screen insteads of going outside to take part in outdoor activities. This

may lead a sedentary lifestyles

- breed laziness: with the availability of technology, people spending lots of time to

indulging in procrastination and bingeing series and movies => this can cause over-

dependence on machines and decrease motivation to work

- replace in-person communities: people prefer online meeting rather than face to

face group discussion. They like sitting down and connecting with other people just

by a smartphones. I feel that they are no longer sociable than previously

 Do you think robots will replace humans in certain jobs in the future?

 According to scientists, automation is expected to affect manual labour the

most. This is because jobs that involve manipulating small objects can be
easily performed by robots such as assembling the model, Human skills

still valuable: Creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving,

and social skills are still irreplaceable by robots. Jobs that

require these skills, like healthcare, education, and customer

service, are likely safe.

=> Overall, while robots will undoubtedly replace humans in some jobs, the picture is
complex. The key is to prepare for the change by focusing on developing skills that will be
valuable in a technology-driven future.

Environment

 What steps can individuals take to protect the environment?

- prefer to use environmentally-friendly means of transportation instead of private

vehicles.

+ instead of riding a motorbike, we opt for riding a bike or taking a bus. We hope that this

action can be reduce the exhaust fames which can cause by the heavy volumes of traffic

and make a modest contribution to protecting the air from serve

- reusable shopping bag rather than sing-use plastic ones.

+) you know, those plastic bags is not expensive but the prohibitive cost in terms of the

environment when finally end up at landfill and as litter in the environment.

- recycle and reuse stuff as much as we can. I mean, instead of throwing something

unuseable into trash, people can take advantage of them. Something it can made into craft

products so that you can use it to decorate and beautify your house.

=>> in conclusion, all of us should learn to adopt a green lifestyles.

 Should governments impose stricter regulations on industries to reduce pollution?

- I think it definitely should be. Because stricter regulations directly limit the amount of
pollutants industries can release into the air, water and land. This help improve air, water
quality, protects ecosystem and promotes public health. It also incentivize companies to invest
in cleaner technologies and production processes. This can lead to long-term cost savings and
a competitive advantage in a growing green market. Regulations can push industries to
become more efficient in their use of materials and energy. This reduces waste and lowers
production costs.

- climate change: refers long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Such shifts

- climate change is caused by both natural and human activities such as: solar activity,

volcanic eruption, burning fossil fuels or deforestation, industrial processes. This resultt in

screening, speaker panel or cleanup event to raise awareness in your area. Or you can

contact your local representatives: let them know that climate change is an important issue

to you and urge them to support climate policies.

Moreover, you should lead by example: reducing your carbon footprin such as using less

energy, driving less, or consuming less meat and supporting sustainable businesses:

choose products and services from companies committed to environmental responsibility

=> by working together, we can raise awareness about climate change and inspire action

towards a sustainable future.

double-edged sword.

For its benefits, mass tourism help boost significantly economic. This can lead to

increased job creation in hotels, restaurants, transportation and souvenir shops and

investment in infrastructure development such as roads, airports and sanitation facilities. It

also result in growth in local businesses.

Besides that, the influx of tourists from diverse backgrounds fosters cultural exchange.

This can lead to expose to new ideas and perpectives, break down cultural barriers and
