the sky! We are going to learn about some special words called
adverbs of manner, and also talk about words that sound a bit
different – they are called vowel diphthongs. And guess what? We
will also explore what we can see in the sky during the day and at
night! So, let us get ready to learn together! We will discover how
words can describe actions, explore some cool sounds in words, and
take a peek at the amazing things in the sky when the sun is shining
bright or when it's time for the stars to sparkle. Are you excited? Let
us jump right in and have some fun learning!
Our first activity today is designed to spark critical thinking and set the
stage for our lesson. Get ready for "Picture Guess Me" – a game that
combines fun and learning! In this game, you will be presented with
pictures depicting different natural objects found in the sky during
daytime or nighttime. Your task is not only to guess the picture but
also to recognize adverbs of manner and identify words with vowel
diphthongs in the given sentences. Get ready for an exciting challenge
that will enhance your observational and language skills! It is a
fantastic way to activate your minds, warm up, and drive us straight
into our lesson. Ready to dive in? Let the guessing game begin!
‘Picture Guess Me’
Procedures:
The teacher displays pictures depicting various natural objects found in
the sky during daytime or nighttime, one at a time.
Students have a designated amount of time to guess what each picture
represents.
After each picture, the teacher provides a sentence containing an
adverb of manner and words with vowel diphthongs. Students identify
the adverb of manner and diphthong in the sentence with the help of
questions.
After each round, the teacher leads a discussion about the identified
natural objects, adverbs of manner, and words with vowel diphthongs,
reinforcing learning and understanding.
Repeat steps 2-4 with additional pictures and sentences as desired.
Conclude the activity by summarizing key learning and highlighting the
importance of observation and language skills in understanding the
natural world
