In April 2020, Jason Hibdon began posting a wonderful series of maps to the Mystara
Reborn group on Facebook. Naturally, he kicked these off with the Grand Duchy of
Karameikos. He used Campaign Cartographer 3+ to draft the maps, basing them on the
Atlas of Mystara 8 mile per hex series. The result is a stunning conversion of Mystara’s
traditional hex art to a modern art style.

Jason then revisited his early maps the next month to match his evolving style, de-
hexifying the borders, adding a background texture to the hills, and making light forests
look less regular. Both versions are presented below, beginning with the latest one, from
May 2020.

May 2020. The updated Atlas version of this map is Karameikos, 8 miles per

the full context of this map in Mystara’s publication history, see the
upcoming Let’s Map Mystara 2020. (Please note that it may be some time
before the project reaches this point.)
