Recount text is a type of text that contains stories about past
events or experiences in the past.
The content of recount text is in the form of writing that tells the
reader about a story, experience, activity or action that has been
experienced before.
Themes that can be used as recount text are personal experiences
such as holiday activities, news reports, or incidents of an event.
Because what is being told happened in the past, the type of tense
used is past tense using past verbs.
Recount text is different from narrative text. Because, recount text
only tells a sequence of events (chronology) that occurred in the
past which is conveyed in detail.
Apart from that, in recount text there are no problem conflicts
(complications) like in narrative text.
 1. Personal recount: Retelling activities carried out personally.
For example, funny stories (oral anecdotes) and writing
    diaries.
2. Factual recount: Telling or recording a specific incident. For
example, research reports, police reports, news reports, and
historical sites.
3. Imaginative recount: Imagining imaginary roles and providing
details of events. For example, a day in the life of a slave, and
how if you find something.
Last weekend, my friends and I decided to go on a spontaneous road trip to the beach. We packed our bags,
filled the car with snacks, and set off early in the morning. The weather was perfect, and we couldn't wait to
spend a day by the ocean.
As we arrived at the beach, the sun was shining brightly, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore
was music to our ears. We laid out our beach towels, applied sunscreen, and went for a refreshing swim. The
water was cool and inviting, and we spent hours playing in the waves and building sandcastles.
For lunch, we enjoyed a picnic we had brought with us, complete with sandwiches, fruit, and chips. After eating,
we decided to take a long walk along the shoreline, collecting seashells and taking photos of the beautiful
scenery. The day seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye.
As the sun began to set, we gathered around a bonfire on the beach and roasted marshmallows for s'mores. It
was a perfect way to end the day, with the orange and pink hues of the sunset painting the sky.
Reluctantly, we packed up our belongings and headed back home, tired but incredibly satisfied with our
spontaneous beach adventure. It was a day filled with laughter, fun, and great memories, and we promised
ourselves that we would do it again soon.
Marine turtles are found in most of the world’s oceans, apart
from cold polar seas. They tend to spend their lives in
relatively shallow continental shelf waters. Once mature,
male turtles never leave the sea, but females come ashore
to lay eggs, typically on the same sandy beach where they
themselves hatched. But we do know at least six of the
seven species are at risk of extinction.
When I was a kid, I always dreamed of being a villain. I imagined myself as a
pirate. One day, when I was on vacation at the beach, I saw many boats and
fishermen.
At first, I just sat and played in the sand on the beach. I began to realize that I
was the master of the sea, a brave pirate captain.
Then when I was watching the waves, suddenly a child approached me. He was a
crew member, who would accompany me to travel around the ocean.
I did nothing like the pirates at the movie, that stealing maps and looking for
treasure. I was an exploring pirate. I just sail around the ocean and enjoy nature.
I use my power only to seek pleasure.
