IS JUDAS IN HEAVEN OR HELL?
I would have made this post on Easter morning, but
many will think it is April Fool. But this calls for serious
thought.
Can it be that Judas is in Heaven?
The popular opinion is that Judas is condemned to Hell. I
also believe that. But wait. If you see evidence to the
contrary will you at least think over it?

EVIDENCE 1:
1 Corinthians 5:5
To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the
flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord
Jesus.
This does not talk directly about Judas but it lays a solid
foundation for a think through. Paul teaches that a particular
brother be handed over to Satan for the destruction of his
flesh so that his spirit may be saved! Destroy the flesh and
save the spirit? Is that possible? Could it be the treatment
that Jesus gave Judas?

EVIDENCE 2
Why is it that Jesus prayed for Peter and never prayed for
Judas? He hand picked both of them. He knew Satan
desired both of them. He prayed for one and openly exposed
the other to Satan. Why?
Theologians and religion want to complicate it. But Jesus
himself made it very plain. He did it so that scripture will be
fulfilled. Period.
John 17:12
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name:
those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is
lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be
fulfilled. (KJV)
John 13:18, 26-27
18 I
speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that
the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me
hath lifted up his heel against me.
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus
unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
Against all odds – Judas was acting in line with his script. He
was fully obedient to the letter of what God has said about
him through Prophet David in Psalm 41:9.

By betraying Jesus, Judas was fulfilling the scripture. Now
this evidence alone does not qualify to redeem his soul from
hell, but looked at in the complete plan of salvation as
prophesied, Jesus would have broken scripture if he had
prevented Judas from acting his part. Judas also would have
broken scripture if he had failed to play his part. His part was
CRITICAL in the plot for the salvation of mankind. Would this
not qualify Judas for the treatment that Paul recommended
for the brother in Corinth? – His body being handed over to
satan so that his spirit will be redeemed?
Not conventional thoughts – but hey, it is #AFool’sEaster!
Luke 22:31-32
31 Andthe Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath
desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when
thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

EVIDENCE 3
I have heard the argument of Hebrews 9:27, and it plays a
very critical part in the case of Judas.
Hebrews 9:27
…it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the
judgment:
Once you are dead, your case is closed, right?
Go back to the story of Moses. Numbers 20, Deuteronomy
34. God gave a simple instruction to Moses to speak to the
Rock and water will come out. Moses hit the rock not once
but twice. It got God so angry that he vowed Moses and
Aaron will not enter the Promised Land. Then God killed
Moses and buried him by himself. Satan quoted Hebrews
9:27.
After all God has passed the judgement himself. He came to
lay claim to the body of Moses. But death did not have the
final say. God did.
He asked Angel Michael to retrieve the body from Satan and
that settled it. Jude 1:9
So is there a chance that God can forgive after He judged?
Moses provides the precedent. Judas may also enjoy that

privilege given what the bible says – which I will present in
subsequent evidences.

EVIDENCE 4
Death does not have the final say; Life does. Hell does not
have the final say; Heaven does.
These verses of Romans should challenge you to your core:
Read it in 3 different translations:
Rom 8:38-39 (KJV)
38 ForI am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things
to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able
to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
NLT
38 AndI am convinced that nothing can ever separate us
from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor
demons,[p] neither our fears for today nor our worries about
tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from
God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth
below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to
separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ
Jesus our Lord.

MESSAGE
Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge
between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not
trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not
homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not
even the worst sins listed in Scripture: (emphasis added)
What is the worst sin in the bible? – Betraying your friend?
Adultery? Murder? Suicide?
Does Judas’ sin qualify as the worst sin in the Bible? If it
does, can this verse of the scripture apply to him as
well?
If Judas was only fulfilling God’s instructions and if he was
loved by Jesus, does Romans 8:38-39 remain true or since it
is Judas we can cancel that portion of the bible? It says not
even suicide or death or angles or demons or hell or our
opinions can cut the love of God for whom he loves.

EVIDENCE 5
This is where it gets really hot. Please don’t get worked
up. I didn’t get an alert from Judas to defend him!!! So it
will do us a ton of good if we put aside the emotions.
After all na talk we just dey talk. God has the final
decision and my opinion will not count at all in deciding
who makes it to heaven. May be yours will.
I have pointed out in Evidence 3 and 4 that the story does
not end at death all the time. I don’t know how God decides
whose grace period extend beyond death. But I know that on
the day of the Crucifixion, Hebrews 9:27 was suspended for
ALL dead souls. ALL.
1 Peter 3:18-19
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in
the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in
prison;
Spirits in prison?
Many people have not seen this verse of the bible. When
Jesus died, he was not just lying in the grave waiting for
Sunday to come. He went to preach to dead souls who were

held in prison because they bungled the chance of salvation
when they were alive. That’s not my opinion or a figment of
my imagination. That is what Apostle Peter said in the
passage quoted.
Now we all agree that Judas died before Jesus. We all agree
that Judas bungled his chance of salvation while alive. By
extension therefore, we all agree that Judas was been held
in prison with the other spirits.
Then Jesus shows up with a second chance! Now tell me,
who amongst these spirit prisoners will be the first to accept
Jesus? I think Judas will accept the offer if it is extended to
him, even satan will accept the offer of forgiveness if God
extends it to him.
So what is keeping you away from accepting the Love of
God? Don’t blame the devil. It is your personal choice.
Period.
You will be a fool to let this chance pass you by.

A FOOL’S EASTER
Whether Judas makes it to heaven or not should not be your
problem. You should rejoice that God pardoned him (if He
did) and not get worked up as if Jesus never rose up from
the dead. Abi na only you wan go heaven? After all Judas
did more for the Kingdom of God than most (if not all) of us
hating on him.
The question is – If you get to heaven and see Judas will you
throw him out? Or will you be angry enough with God to go
to hell? Since you can stay in the same Heaven with such a
record?
Let me rephrase the question:
ARE YOU MORE RIGHTEOUS THAN JUDAS?
I am not. If I deserve Grace, then He deserves it too and so
does all the other millions of people on earth who do not see
as I see or believe as I believe. Jesus was not selective in
his death – He died for Judas too – why should we be
selective of who deserves His grace?
Why do you wish the Fulani herdsmen death and not
salvation? Why do you wish Boko Haram terrorists death and
not redemption? Why do you not care about the eternal
destiny of the rapist, tout and the kidnappers and other
perpetrators of evil in society (especially politicians)? Could it
be the Judas syndrome extended to them?
Sorry sir/Ma, the Gospel is not an exclusive club for the
“privileged believers”. It is for all men everywhere.
