About “NASO”
Get ready to blast off into a world of wonders and discovery with National Astronomy & Science Olympiad
(NASO)! This incredible platform is designed for young students in class 2 to 10 to explore the thrilling worlds
of science and astronomy. Not only will you have the chance to win awesome prizes, but you’ll also
participate in workshops, quizzes and other innovative sessions hosted by some of the most respected
experts in the field.
But NASO is more than just an olympiad- it’s an opportunity to soar to new heights and realize your potential
as a future astronomer. We go beyond the confines of the classroom and take you on a journey to unexplored
fields of knowledge. You’ll have the chance to meet legends in the field of space science, witness stunning
planetarium shows and again invaluable insights and experience.
NASO opens the door to exciting new career options in space science, giving you a head start as you transition
from school to higher studies. Our certification carries global recognition, as we are an official Space Tutor
partner of ISRO and an accredited organization by STEM.ORG. So join us on this incredible journey of learning

Mode of Competition
The first level of the olympiad is the Space preparatory round which is meant to
test the students’ general aptitude towards astronomy & space science and

build foundational knowledge on the subject. It comprises the following:
Class level syllabus
50 MCQs with 60 minutes time limit
Syllabus related to Science and Astronomy
No negative marking
LEVEL Qualifiers of Level - 1 will be awarded a certificate of appreciation & medals
Participation Certificates to all level - 1 participants
SCHOOL ROUND Level - 1 is conducted in the school premises only. The date is decided
according to the school schedule
12% of students will proceed to the next level

This is the final level where the top performers from all the participating schools
will complete for National awards and prizes. In this level, the students will be

2 nd tested on their ability to research and explore.


50 research-based questions with a time limit of 60 minutes
Class level syllabus
Level - 2 will be conducted in the 3rd week of February. Admit cards will be
sent to schools by end of January
LEVEL Previous year e-papers & Astronomy syllabus material will be provided for
students qualified to level 2
NATIONAL ROUND Qualifiers of Level - 2 will be awarded a certificate of appreciation & medals
Participation Certificates to all level - 2 participants

ELEGIBILITY : Students studying in Grades II to X following CBSE/ICSE/IGSE/State Board
SYLLABUS : Relevant Class Syllabus
SUBJECTS : Test in Astronomy, Space Science & Modern Science
PATTERN : Grade II to Grade IV (Science & Environmental Science with 50 MCQ’s in 60 Min.)
Grade V to Grade X (Science & Astronomy with 50 MCQ’s in 60 Min.)

How to Apply
NASO is exclusively organized through participating schools, providing a convenient and accessible
opportunity for students to take part in the competetion. The exam Is conducted within the school premises
during regular school hours, ensuring minimal disruption to students’ schedules.

To register for NASO, schools can easily connect with us. The registration process is simple and
straightforward after registration, the school will receive attendance sheets, question papers and guidelines
to conduct the examination.

Schools are encouraged to submit the details of their applicants using the prescribed registration form,
along with the required fees, well before the deadline. This information can be sent to “NAVARS EDUTECH
PVT. LTD.” via email, mail or downloaded from the website. Our team is always available to answer any
queries or provide further assistance and we strive to make the registration process as easy and hassle-free
as possible.

For Indian Schools : Rs. 250/- per student
Optional : Work book Rs. 180/-

For International Schools : 12 USD per student

Mode of Payment
Payment of the National Astronomy & Science Olympiad must be made through account payee cheque,
demand draft or online bank transfer in favour of “Navars Edutech Pvt Ltd” payable at “Hyderabad”, India.
Schools paying the fees by cash are requested to make the payment only to the authorized person of the
organization with a valid payment receipt.

You may also deposit the fees in cash in any computerized branch of ICICI Bank with the account name
“Navars Edutech Pvt. Ltd.”, A/c No. 131805501001 and the original counterfoil of pay-in-slip along with the
registration form to us.
