games that require great skill to master.

seeks to demonstrate his skills to win money or championships. This gamer is a true
fan of video games, not only looking for a means of entertainment but a challenge or
an adventure and if possible turn it into a lifestyle. Sometimes he is derogatorily
considered a nerd or a person with no social life.

• Marketing and Advertising
AppsFlyer has released State of Gaming App Marketing 2023, a report on
key trends in the video game industry, for marketers and game studios to use
as they navigate a year of challenging macro trends, including the new era
of data privacy. AppsFlyer's State of Gaming App Marketing 2023 is an
anonymized aggregated report of proprietary global data from 38 billion app
installs from 18.6 thousand apps measured with 10 thousand installs
quarterly and $13.9 billion in total ad spend measured from January 2021 to
December 2022.
• VPN licensing
In most cases, a monthly or annual fee is required to use a virtual private
network (VPN). Different VPN service providers tend to charge different
costs or have different pricing structures for their services. Learn how the
costs of using a VPN are calculated, as well as the usage prices of the best-
rated VPN companies currently on the market. If you use a VPN for privacy,
download speeds may be slower than with a direct connection; however, if
you use it to unblock streaming services in another country or region, data
rates will most likely be much lower. As shown above, the monthly costs of
using a VPN connection range from $2 to $6.
• Staff salaries
The setting of a minimum wage is something that is starting to be seen in
some of the most ambitious proposals of recent times in the sector. In recent
months this has been the case of the Overwatch League (OWL) and the
renewed North American League of Legends Championship Series (LCS),
which will introduce a franchise system -something common in the United
States- to provide clubs with greater stability and foster their growth. Both
competitions have established very similar minimum salaries, $50,000 per
year in the case of the OWL and $75,000 in the LCS.But the opposite is also
the case in Spain, where the Professional Video Game League (LVP)
decided to set a maximum salary to control the salary bubble. In this last
season, which started at the beginning of the year and ended last June, the
figure for this maximum salary was 1 500 euros per month.
• Web site technology and maintenance
The average cost of maintaining a website is around $5 to $500 per month
or $60 to $6,000 per year for a small to medium-sized website. Large
company sites with a lot of traffic, such as Amazon and Netflix, have a
higher maintenance cost: around $200 to $5,000 per month. Website
maintenance fees include domain name renewal, web hosting plan costs and
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate to keep your website online. Then,
depending on the type of website, there will also be maintenance costs for
email services, premium technical support and e-commerce features.
Revenue Stream
• Sale of boosting services
Video game subscriptions.
Several MMOGs use monthly subscription models. This revenue supports
the operations behind the video game, such as server costs, company staff,
and new content development. Several MMOGs offer a no-cost trial period
so that players can try out the video game before deciding whether they are
interested in paying for a subscription. Since 2014 this model has lost
popularity with gamers.
• Video game distribution platform subscription services.
Services such as EA Play and Xbox Game Pass offer their subscribers
access to a vast library of digitally distributed video games without
limitation. Users must download the video games to their computer or
console in order to play them, which they can do as long as they remain
subscribed to the service. To keep the offer attractive, these companies
frequently add new titles to their digital libraries, although the opposite also
happens and previously available videogames can be eliminated. Sometimes
it is possible to buy video games without a subscription, which allows the
player to play them at any time, regardless of whether they are connected to
the platform or if their subscription has ended.
• Personalized coaching services
The Head Coach in eSports is the strategic and tactical leader of the team.
Although the name itself makes us think of a figure dedicated solely to
coaching, this profession goes beyond simple training. The Head Coach is in
charge of directing, motivating and coordinating professional players to
achieve maximum performance in high-level competitions. The importance
of this figure is due to his or her ability to analyze the game, understand
team dynamics and provide a global vision that drives cohesion and success
on the virtual battlefield.
• Premium services
A premium service offers special features for the consumer. Consumers
perceive them to be of higher quality, which is why they are willing to pay
more. The additional price range that the consumer pays in excess of 30% to
50% compared to the basic offer in its category. It is essential to differentiate
the premium service from the basic one. We can find 2 types of strategy for
premium service; one in which the brand teaches prestige and sets the trend,
thus getting the consumer to accept its proposal, and another very different
one, the premium adapts to the preferences and tastes of users.
Conclusions
• The phenomenon of boosting in video games has become widespread, as players
increasingly turn to more skilled individuals for assistance in advancing
through game levels.
• Entities like LFCarry, Skycoach, and BlazingBoost have emerged as significant
players in this industry, offering a variety of services tailored to different
gaming titles.
• Trustpilot plays a crucial role as a platform for boosting firms to establish trust
and credibility by showcasing customer feedback.
• Personal anecdotes, such as interactions with LFCarry, provide insights into the
incentives, regulations, and security measures inherent in the boosting
process.
