kindly read first our objectives.
Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, students should
be able to:
a. understands what is meant by pitch
and how it differs from another
musical element;
b. appreciates the importance of pitch
in a music by singing a song; and
c. performs a piece of music using
different pitches to convey a specific
message or emotion.

3. Discussion
It is a song or tune ma’am.
What is Melody?

 Melody- A melody is a sequence of

musical notes or tones that are
perceived as a single, cohesive musical
line. Melodies are created by arranging
different pitches (notes) in a specific
order and duration to convey a musical
idea or emotion.

There are four types of pitch

 High pitch- Higher-pitched sounds

have higher frequencies.

 Low-(lower) A low pitch refers to a

sound or musical note that has a lower
frequency, resulting in a deeper or bass-
like tone. Pitch is a perceptual property
of sound, and it is associated with the
frequency of sound waves. In general,
lower frequencies produce lower
pitches, while higher frequencies
produce
higher pitches.
 Moderate high- (higher) "Moderate
high pitch" is a term that describes a
musical note or sound with a pitch that
is moderately elevated above the
average or baseline pitch. It suggests a
tone that is higher than what might be
considered a middle or neutral pitch,
but not extremely
high.

 Moderately low-(lower) "Moderate

low pitch" is a term used to describe a
musical note or sound with a pitch that
is moderately lower than the average or
baseline pitch. It suggests a tone that is
lower than what might be considered a
middle or neutral pitch but is not
extremely low.

So now, there’s other way to read notes

easily start reading from bottom to top.
 To remember the pitch names of the
spaces, spell the word ‘FACE.’

The exact pitch is determined by another

musical symbol called “Clef.”
 The G-Clef or treble clef shows
that the second line of the staff
is G.

 The F-Clef or Bass clef shows

that the fourth line from the
bottom represents the F.

 A Bar line divides the staff into

measures.
 Double Bar Lines mark the end
of a piece of music.

Question class regarding our lesson? None ma’am.
