PROBLEM STATEMENT
According to NCRB, nearly 24,012 people die each day due to delay
in getting medical assistance. Many patients lost their Golden Time
due to their late arrival to Hospital. Many reasons are stated for not
being able to give way to ambulance during rush hour. One of the
reasons was a lack of awareness of ambulance route to the hospital.
ABSTRACT
In this project, we aim to develop a system for ambulance alert to
nearby vehicles and hospitals and to save people’s life by taking
minimal time for ambulance to reach the patient and then to
hospital.
The project consists of a mobile app through which a user can see
and call all nearby ambulance. The number of ambulance and their
location is shared through app and is open for users to see the
location of ambulance.
Once the user called the ambulance, the next step for the app is to
send the notification of emergency to the hospital or the person in
ambulance can select the hospital according to the availability of
hospital. The availability of hospital is also shared in the app. The
hospital can also accept or deny request according to its availability.
During the path to reach hospital, the patient health is also shared in
the app with the help of health monitoring system. This will help the
hospital to get the health condition of the patient.
Once the hospital is selected, the app alerts the vehicles that are
coming in route between ambulance and hospital to get a clear
passage for ambulance. The clearance of passage will be done by
altering the vehicles that are coming in-route between victim to
hospital. During its path at the traffic signals lights will be green so
there will be no congestion at signals. This can be done using
microphone and camera at traffic signals.
The project also focuses on the accidents which are occurred at
desolate locations and deaths are caused due to victims’
consciousness and unseen due to less inhabitation. Often at desolate
location, many a times after a long period the victim is seen by
someone and then further referred to hospital.
In this app we will include a feature in which if car accidents have
taken place and a notification will be sent automatically to the
nearest ambulance. The victim can stop the ambulance through the
app if there is no necessity. If the victim does not stop the
notification, then automatically after 2-3 minutes the request for
ambulance will be raised in the app.
The purpose of alert is to reduce the time for reaching the hospital as
one minute might mean the difference between life and death.
