Blizzard Bag Filter NEW Features
Fig. 1 Blizzard Bag Filter NEW product line with side loading
Blizzard baghouses are reliable, low-maintenance dust collectors designed for cleaning air and
gases of high contamination in the form of dry coarse as well as fine particulate dust as well as different
types of fibrous and non-sticky dust. It can be installed both outside and inside a facility. Its modular
configuration (Fig 1) allows for the necessary performance level to be achieved without any substantial
changes having to be made to its design. In fact, only minimal improvements to the already operating
Machine are enough for a new tier to be added with a range of baghouses or for several machines of a
single conveyor line can be combined for dust discharge (Fig. 2).
Potential uses include:
- dust collecting for ovens and casthouses;
- silo loading/unloading dust collection;
- dust collection for bulk handling, conveyor belts, conveyors, elevators;
- dust collection in grinding mills, sawmills, sifting machines, cold storehouses, holding furnaces,
and batching plants;
- dust collection for thermal and mechanical metal cutting processes, welding processes, etc.
The machines can be used in the food, chemical, metallurgical, metal processing, mountain ore,
pharmaceutical, engineering, and other industries as well.
Fig. 2
In its classical design, the Machine is equipped with a knife valve in the lower part of the hopper
along with a dust box on wheels for collection and convenient dust discharge (Fig. 3). The box features
a window for visual monitoring as it fills up.
Fig. 3
For automation of the hopper dust discharge process, rotary valves can also be used (Fig. 2 and
Fig. 4) as well as a double dump (Fig. 5).

and equipment condition (fan, worm, feeder). It also allows for the feature of setting up alarms on the
machine’s operating condition, accidents, technological blockages, emergency stops, and device
deactivation from the fire alarm signal.

How it works:
The contaminated air enters the dirty air chamber via the air duct and passes through the damper
plate, which slows the air’s speed, allowing for the heavy particles to fall straight down into the hopper.
The damper plate also distributes and redirects the air flow, facilitating even distribution of the air masses
along the bags. This boosts the level of air cleaning and the concentration of dust that the baghouse can
handle. It also extends the filter elements’ service life and allows for filter bags to be able to be used in
a baghouse with a total area of up to 126 m² with a relatively even load.
As the air passes through the baghouse, it leaves dust and other impurities on the outside of
the filter, thus becoming cleaned and exiting via the clean air chamber into the air duct. Since some of
the “dust” sticks to the material, thereby increasing resistance to the air flow, a pulse jet regeneration
system is included in the basic package. The air is fed via a nozzle located in the clean air chamber into
the bags in a powerful pulse, consequently blowing the stuck dirt mass off of them. That occurs on a
timed basis without necessitating the ventilation system fans to stop. The air in the pulse jet system
accumulates in the receivers (one section each). They need to be attached to the external compressor or
the compressed air supply main. For that purpose, there is also a fitting on the receiver as well as a
condensation drain valve.
The air valves that are used are either produced in the United States or imported from Germany
or Italy. They're all certified for baghouse equipment pulse jet cleaning systems.
If a differential manometer is installed, bags cleaning will be able to be set up not only in a timed
fashion but also based on the level of bags’ “contamination”. A differential manometer can also sound
off in the event that one of the bags becomes damaged.

PULSE JET CLEANING SYSTEM
This system features:
1. A compressed air receiver: The receiver is what
accumulates the air that’s blasted in the air pulses.
If there isn't enough air, cleaning efficiency will
decline, there will be greater wear on the bags, and
the filter's performance will drop, since the filter’s
hydraulic resistance will increase. There is a fitting
on the receiver for connection to the compressor
or to the factory-wide compressed air supply main,
as well as a moisture drain valve. If the Blizzard
is not installed in a heated facility, we recommend
installing a water-oil separation, heating, and air
warming system.
2. Air valves: Our valves are specialized for pulse
jet filter equipment cleaning systems. All valves are certified and either produced in the United States
or imported from abroad from Italy or Germany.
3. Air tube system: This system is self-explanatory. They tubes come in either metal or plastic. That will
depend on the gas and the temperature that the Blizzard bag filter is cleaning. Furthermore, nozzles
are installed on the pulse jet tubes to ensure more efficient cleaning of the filter element.
4. The regeneration system is managed using a special controller that configures the quantity of pulses
and how frequently they are released.
5. Upon request, we can also install a differential pressure gage. In that case, bag cleaning can not only
be programmed in terms of the time but also in terms of the degree of the bags’ contamination. When
bags fall, the pressure in the filter chamber changes and the gage submits a signal to the controller for
cleaning to be performed. The differential pressure gage will also display an accident if one of the bags
gets ruined.
THE DUST HOPPER AND DISCHARGING DUST
In the standard package, Blizzard features a cone-shaped hopper bin for dust and a round gate with a manual gear for
opening and closing it, or
alternatively a wheeled box.
If you wish, we can
package the Blizzard with
a bunker under the bags
with a worm for
continuous dust discharge
from the hopper using a
rotary valve. Then you will not have to power off the machine to discharge the accumulated dust. A
level transmitter is also notably installed in the hopper.
On top of that, the hopper can be packaged with a vibrator or a vibration machine to prevent debris
from sticking to the walls of the hopper.
We also make hoppers and
supports depending on the
needs of your industrial site.
For instance, for our wood
processing client, we
packaged a hopper that
could be discharged into big
bags.
FILTER MANAGEMENT
Filter management is done using a
controller or remote-control
device. This system operates in a
closed cycle but can be
reconfigured depending on the
client's needs. We propose
packaging the baghouse fully with
an automatic control, analysis, and
fire extinguishing system, among
other automatic features. A time
controller is installed in the standard package and we can additionally package a standard Siemens, OVEN, etc. controller
depending on your needs.
ADDITIONAL PACKAGE COMPONENTS
1. We can package the filter with the fan that you need: high or medium-pressure, dust fan, corrosion-
resistant fan, etc.
2. Platforms for conducting maintenance on the dust collector and stairs.
3. Various valves: reverse, fire resistant, and bypass valves.
4. Filter cartridges designed for certain small types of dust, high temperatures (over 200 degrees
Celsius), sticky debris, wet debris, etc.
5. Heat insulation for the filter as well as individual segments of it and supplying heating to the valves.
6. We can swap the jet pulse filter for a reverse bag blowing filter for use in locations where operating
a compressor is not possible.
7. Installation of a fire extinguishing system.
8. Packaging a smooth launch device (frequency transformer) for a fan, worm, and rotary valve.
9. A special control cabinet based on your needs built at the base of the relay with a control,
connection, and management module. The control cabinet produced based on your specification
ensures: collection of data from the dust transmitters, pressure changes, and the equipment condition
(fan, worm, feeder). Alarms on the machine’s operating condition, accidents, and technological
blockages; emergency stops; and device deactivation from the fire alarm signal as well.
10. Explosion-proof design: installation of explosion-proof membranes (excess pressure membranes),
filter elements used with anti-static fibers and threads, additional grounding systems, IP 64 electricity,
etc.
11. Can be designed using different types of steel.
12. Different colors of RAL coating
13. We always are willing to compromise for our clients.
