GENERAL SCIENCE

1) Practice Worksheet 3 and 4 (Based on graphical representation of motion, equations of


motion and uniform circular motion). Worksheets have been attached in this file.
2) Explain how physics is involved in sports, dance and sound of various musical
instruments by taking two examples for each case. Do this in your physics home
assignment notebook.
3) Revise Ch-7 (Motion) for Periodic Test- I.

CHEMISTRY
1) Rinse two small pieces of cloth /handkerchiefs in water and do the following:
a) At a same place, spread one piece of cloth to dry it and other just keep it on the rope
without spreading it.
b) Spread one of the cloths in sunlight and the other in normal room
c) Spreadone of the cloths in room where fan is working & the other in some corner
where fan’s breeze cannot reach.
Note the time taken by both the clothes to dry up completely and conclude
your observations with the factors affecting the rate of evaporation in each
case.(click pictures in all the cases )
2) Learn names and symbols of elements from atomic number 1 to 20.
3) Do the worksheet-II of chapter 1 (based on selected exemplar questions) in the
chemistry register.

BIOLOGY

1) Do the worksheet of chapter 5 (The fundamental unit of life) in biology note book

2) ACTIVITY -1
a) Activity Growth in Meristematic tissue. Take two glasses and fill them with
water. Take two onions and place one on each glass

b) Observe the growth of roots in both the onions for a few days and record
the length of the root on Day 1,2, and 3.
c) On day 4, cut the root tips of onion in glass B by about 2 cm, and observe
the growth of root of both onions and record the length of the root for the
next 3 days.

1. Which of the two onions has longer roots. Why?

NICOBAR ISLANDS

Prepare a research project on any one of the lagoons/characteristics island


of Lakshadweep or Andaman &Nicobar Islands in the following format:
● The first page of the project is to be a cover page with basic details I.e. Names
of all the team members, class, section, Team no., topic of the project etc.
● The second page is to be the introduction of the lagoon/characteristics island
you have chosen to research upon.
