OUR STORY
In a world where online education has become the compass guiding countless seekers
of knowledge, The Interior Design Institute (IDI) stands as a beacon of innovation. We’ve
crafted a one-of-a-kind learning platform, where our course has been designed to help you
excel and flourish in the design industry.
Recognising that not everyone can commit to a traditional four-year, full-time university
program, we embarked on this journey in 2006. Our vision was to pioneer the ultimate
online Interior Design course—a program tailored for the modern-day hustlers, the relentless
go-getters, the dedicated stay-at-home parents aspiring to rejuvenate their living spaces
or embark on a fulfilling career transformation. We are here to empower you to create, to

#IDISTUDENT - NATHAN NASRALLAH
OUR COURSE
At IDI, we proudly present an online interior design course, which has been thoughtfully designed
for online delivery, granting you the flexibility to learn from the comfort of your home, at your own
pace, and on your own schedule.
Our online course is structured around 12 comprehensive written modules and 12 hands-on
assignments that develop your knowledge and practical skills. You’ll have a 12-month window to
complete the program and extensions are available if you need additional time.
Throughout this immersive journey, you’ll be guided by a professional tutor who will illuminate
all facets of interior design and be there to assist 7 days a week. The content provided is at the
forefront of industry standards and have been authored by various interior designers who are
currently shaping the field. Our course is thoughtfully curated to furnish you with the knowledge
and competencies essential for either pursuing a fulfilling career as a professional interior designer
or excelling as a passionate enthusiast.
In addition to our core curriculum, we offer a video Masterseries by Darren Palmer and a wide
array of optional Advanced Modules. Should you wish to delve deeper into your studies, these
modules are available for purchase. To access the Advanced Modules, you’ll first need to enrol in
our core Interior Design course and complete the initial two modules. This prerequisite ensures that
you possess a fundamental grasp of design principles, elements, historical context, period styles,
contemporary trends, and iconic designers before venturing into more advanced topics.

To take the Advanced Modules, you will need to enrol in our Interior Design course and complete
the initial 2 modules before the Advanced Modules will be available to you. This is to ensure that
you have a basic understanding and knowledge of the design principles and elements, history and
period styles, trends and iconic designers.
Each Advanced Module comes with a free 6 month course extension and a dedicated tutor.

Sarah graduated from our course and, soon after, launched her business,
Elevated Living, which has been booming since. In addition to running her
interior design business, Sarah has had immense success on YouTube, where
she creates content to bring value to your everyday life as an interior designer
and entrepreneur.
“I decided to quit my full-time corporate job and pursue
something I’ve always had a passion for - interior design! I
discovered IDI and quickly enrolled myself in the course in

REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN
Age and Education: No previous design experience is required and we believe that
a genuine passion for interior design is the most important prerequisite. Our Interior
Design course is open to individuals of all educational backgrounds as long as you are
above the age of 15. Whether you’re a high school graduate, a college student, a working
professional looking to change careers, or a retiree pursuing a lifelong passion, you are
welcome to take our course.
Language Proficiency: Our course materials and communication with tutors are conducted
in English, so a reasonable proficiency in this language is recommended to ensure you
get the most out of the program. We also offer our course in French, German, Dutch and
Spanish should you wish to study in those languages.
Course Duration: The course is designed to accommodate different schedules and
commitments, and consists of modules that can be completed at your own pace. While
some students complete the course in a few months, others may take longer to finish,
depending on their availability and dedication. We recommend that you put some time
aside to dedicate to your studies so you can complete it within one year.
Technical Requirements: To access our course materials and participate in online
discussions and assignments, you will need a computer with internet connectivity. Any
modern Mac or PC will be sufficient. Our platform is also compatible with popular mobile
and tablet devices, ensuring you can study from anywhere that suits you.
