Ste a m Introducing microwave
When you microwave food, ste am is cre ated as water in the cooking
food he ats up and eva porates.

The ste am formed during microwave cooking is entirely safe. It has

to esca pe from the microwave to prevent pressure from building up
inside the oven. It does this through the vents on the b ack of the oven
and from around the door.

Co n d e n s a tio n
As the ste am cools, you may find the condensation g athers in small
pools inside your microwave and on the work surface bene ath the
door and vents.
Always dry the oven after cooking foods with a high moisture
content.

Your microwave is designed to let ste am esca pe from the vents

There is no d anger of microwave energy esca ping with the ste am.
