ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES

ISO Quality System Activities

• Take part in ISO renewal audits and certification.

• Solving the ISO Nonconformance reports within the frame work of Quality Control Manual.
• In charge of Calibration of test equipment’s, welding machines, Pressure gauges, and
measuring instruments.
• Maintaining calibration log for instruments.

Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Nondestructive Examination Activities

 • Attend Kick off meetings, Pre-inspection meeting and Vendor inspection.
• Good knowledge in inspection of Tanks and all kind of structures.
• Preparation of quality control documents like Inspection Test Plan, NDT Procedures: RT, PT
& MPI as per client specification, codes and standards.
• Worked with various types & grades of materials S275, S355, A 516 etc.
• Ensure work sequence is planned and controlled via implementation and adherence to
company approved method statements, ITP and work instructions.
• Review and approve sub-contractors inspection test plans and other QC documents for
conformance to specification, codes and standards and identification of inspection
intervention requirements.
• Communicate with client for project specifications and other technical information via
email.
• Allocating jobs for Quality Control Inspectors & other Technicians.
• Checking of material test report or certification in compliance with material specification.
• To advise on repair techniques, material selection, welding procedures, inspection & testing
requirements for routine plant related problems and finalization of daily, weekly & monthly
inspection reports.

Welding Inspection Activities

• Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Welder Performance Qualification

Record (WPQR), Welder continuity Record etc.
• Preparation of prequalified WPS as per AWS D1.1.
• Selection of Welding Process and Welding Consumables.
• Welder and Welding Operator Qualification & Testing.
• Physical inspection of welding consumables.
• Familiar with most of the welding process like SMAW, GTAW, FCAW & GMAW.
• Control welding process as per applicable WPS and PQR requirements have been
experienced and well versed with the codes like ASME SEC IX & AWS D1.1.
• Checking of consumables used in welding to ensure compliance with specification.
• Preparation of all NDT reports and issue recommendation for necessary actions
• Prepare NDE and Inspection report on daily or weekly basis as per the client / project
requirements.
• Surveillance inspection of welding consumables storage and welder activities.

Painting Inspection Activities

• Inspection of Blasted surface in accordance with ISO 8501-1 SA 2.5 to a grade of SSPC-SP-10:
Near white metal.
• To conduct and review Painting Inspection (DFT &WFT) and atmospheric conditions WBT,
DBT, Dew point , Relative Humidity (RH %) & Metal temperature.
• Verifying blasted surface profile by Testex tape or by surface profile gauge.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Nondestructive Examination Activities

• Attend Kick off meetings, Pre-inspection meeting.

• Good knowledge in inspection of pressure vessels, Piping, Tanks and all of kind structures.
• Preparation of quality control documents like Inspection Test Plan, Hydrostatic/Pneumatic
Test Procedure, NDT Procedures: RT, UT, PT & MPI as per client specification, codes and
standards.
• Worked with various types of materials such as P1 (C-Mn Steel), P8 (Austenitic Stainless
Steel), etc.
• Ensure work sequence is planned and controlled via implementation and adherence to
company approved method statements, ITP and work instructions.
• Review and approve sub-contractors inspection test plans and other QC documents for
conformance to specification, codes and standards and identification of inspection
intervention requirements.
• Communicate with client for project specifications and other technical information via
email.
• Coordinate with different Third Party Inspectors and Authorized Inspector (AI) from
inspection agencies like HSB, DNV, TUV, ABS, SGS, and ClientInspectors.
• Allocating jobs for Quality Control Inspectors & other Technicians.
• Checking of material test report or certification in compliance with material specification.
• Witnessing internal inspections like Fit‐up, Welding, Non‐Destructive Testing ( PT, UT, MT),
Final Dimension check, Pneumatic Testing, Hydrostatic Testing to verify product conformity
and full compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, codes & standards and
project contract documents.
• To advise on repair techniques, material selection, welding procedures, inspection & testing
requirements for routine plant related problems and finalization of daily, weekly & monthly
inspection reports.
• Trouble shooting & Failure Analysis.

Welding Inspection Activities

• Reviewing WPS, PQR&WPQ.
• Verifying Essential Variables Supplementary Essential variables and Range Qualified for
WPS, PQR&WPQ.
• Selection of Welding Process and Welding Consumables.
• Physical inspection of welding consumables.
• Familiar with most of the welding process like SMAW, GTAW, FCAW & GMAW.
• Control welding process as per applicable WPS and PQR requirements have been
experienced and well versed with the codes like ASME SEC IX.
• Checking of consumables used in welding to ensure compliance with specification.
• Preparation of all NDT reports and issue recommendation for necessary actions
• Prepare NDE and Inspection report on daily or weekly basis as per the client / project
requirements.

Heat Treatment Activities
• Preparation of Post Weld Heat Treatment Procedure, Heat Treatment Instruction sheets.
• Verification and acceptance of Heat Treatment procedures from suppliers.
• Verification and acceptance of PWHT charts.

• Inspection of Blasted surface in accordance with ISO 8501-1 SA 2.5 to a grade of SSPC-SP-10:

• Verification of QC documents / dossiers before offering to customers, Authorized inspectors.

SKILLS
• Very good knowledge of ASME SEC. VIII DIV I & II, IX, V, II.
• Brief Knowledge of AWS D1.1, NACE, ASNT, ASME B31.3.
• Good knowledge in NDT & Quality Control welding Inspection.
• Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
• Very good knowledge of Oil and Gas safety requirements during inspection and Testing.
• Strong experience in inspection of Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Silo.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing
priorities
• Familiar with Product Life Managements are highly desirable
