STEWARDSHI
P
AND THE
OBJECTIVES
V The first thing we must take into account for the theology of Christian
stewardship is to clearly outline and understand the objectives of the Church in
the world. In order not to make mistakes in the design of the church's objectives,

INTRODUCTION
and for that we have to go to the source of Christ's thought, which is the Holy
Bible.

V Jesus' ideal for his Church interprets God's eternal, and therefore
immutable, purpose for the church.
Ideals of Jesus for his Church

- 1. REDEEMER COMMUNITY:
Redemption for a lost world, your supreme task as the body of Christ is
to be a channel and testimony of redemption (Jn 20:21).

- 2. CHURCH THAT MULTIPLIED FROM JERUSALEM:

Church powerful in its Spirit to spread throughout the entire world in an
irresistible, triumphant way (Mt. 16:18)
• 3. A CHURCH THAT WAS INCARNATE, JUST AS HE HIMSELF INcarnated IT:
Not that it merely proclaims the Word of God, that it is a living anticipation and not merely
an announcement of the Coming Kingdom (Mt. 24:31-46)

- 4. A SANCTIFIED CHURCH TO GIVE WORSHIP TO GOD “IN SPIRIT AND

INDEED” (JN.4:23)
A body in which he could fully inhabit through his spirit (Jn.14:23)

- 5. A CHURCH THAT EMBODIED HIS LOVE AND NOT WAS JUST A

OBJECT OF HIS LOVE (JN.13:35)
A church that lives in love and reproduces that love in its coexistence with the world, like
the love of Jesus (Agape Love).
General Objectives of the Church
• Evangelization: through it, we are cooperating to reestablish the Lordship of Christ over his
most precious value in the universe: The soul of each sinner.

• Missions: The heart of the Bible is missions. World missionary responsibility was
transferred from Israel to the Church, because Israel refused its messianic privilege.
Missions are the church's loving response to the call of Calvary.

• Worship: (Rom. 12:1), is not limited to a temple, but encompasses our entire being, it is the
love of God that attracts us to worship him.

• Christian Education: it is a continuous process of transformation through which the disciple

loses his identification with the present century and acquires an essential form identified
with Christ.

• Charity – service: the poor need to be evangelized, it is the best work we can do for them
without forgetting their integral life: (food, clothing, health, etc.) We must have the grace of
generosity.

BASIS OF
STEWARDSHIP
“CHRISTIAN”
Understanding the holiness of God will lead the Christian to seek to be holy in all his or
her way of life.

1. THE HOLINESS OF GOD

“BE HOLY BECAUSE I, THE LORD, YOUR GOD, AM HOLY”
The faithful Christian steward has holy purposes for his body, for his mind, for his time, for his
property, for his entire way of life.
To be sanctified is to act correctly by one's own, conscious, constant decision, always following the
will of God as it is revealed in the Word of God.
(salt. 139:23-24)
EVERYTHING GOD DOES CARRIES THE MARK OF HOLINESS
Justice is linked to sobriety, holiness and temperance. The perfection of justice is
exclusive to God. God's law is perfect, immutable and eternal because God's wisdom

2. THE JUSTICE OF GOD

has no limits (Ps.147:5).

Let us return again to Calvary, because like the holiness of God, his justice is also
revealed there at its highest point. Dio demands justice from man which means
obedience to his laws. Man transgressed the justice of God. Now he is guilty of eternal
guilt. But God's mercy triumphs over judgment (James. 2:13) then the supreme
legislator descends from his throne of glory and assumes the guilt of the guilty in order
to fulfill his punishment (Isa. 53:4-6).
Christian stewardship is the practice
of justice

a) God respects man's right because he respects himself.

b) God's justice is self-sufficient because it is perfect (it is not ambitious)
c) God's justice does not exclude mercy
d) God takes the initiative on our behalf (gives us the resources to offer him in
worship)
3. THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD
It is the power of God's will in action. It is the power to execute your will without impediment
or inhibition. It is only enough that God wants it to be done. God's sovereignty is evident in
the creation, preservation and final judgment of everything that exists.

a) The Christian is called to participate in the creation of a new man to inhabit a new world
that God creates in Christ.
b) Stewardship of material goods is an indicative meaning of acceptance of the Lordship of
Jesus Christ.
c) Christian stewardship is the recognition of God's sovereignty, not only over the lives of
the saved, but also over the entire universe.
d) Christian stewardship indicates surrender and confidence in the power of the providence
of a sovereign God (2 Cor. 9:8)
e) God is not only the owner of the present, but also of the future.
Poets try to describe the love of God: incomparable, sublime. But there is one place, the
only place where the love of God can be seen without adjectives: CALVARY, on the

4. THE LOVE OF GOD

cross the love of God does not need to be magnified, it is an absolute love.
The high price that Jesus paid for the ransom of our soul is love. The greater the love,
the greater the willingness of the person who loves to pay the price for the happiness of
the loved one.
God has no other way of being and dealing other than love and by imprinting his
character on human beings, God does so by enabling him to love (1st Jn. 4:10 19) and
give your love in response to the love of God.

THE
ENES MATERIALS
Happy is the believer who participates in a church where Christian stewardship is taught and
practiced.

1) You will have growing joy as you participate in the kingdom of God, you will be part of it, not
just a spectator.
2) You will understand that God loves you and that is why you will seek to discover and put into
practice the will of God in all aspects of your life, thus deepening your love for Christ and your
submission to the control of the Holy Spirit.
3) The Bible will be for him, not a book of theory about his religion, not a special book to
decorate the table, but the living Word of a living God, to be read, loved, studied and put into
practice.
4) You will form and develop your home and family life on the solid foundation of practicing
God's will.
5) He will develop his talents and abilities within a profession chosen in accordance with the
holiness of God, through which he can praise his God, bear witness to his grace, glorify him
and not only obtain resources necessary for his subsistence.
6) You will learn to correctly manage your assets, your gifts, your time and you will have wisdom
and moral strength to avoid vices and diseases that could cause you harm.
7) He will be a conscious, dynamic agent, an eloquent witness in evangelization and in the
participation of the church in missions and charity.

CONTRIBUTION TH
ASSISTANCE E
1. DISCOVER THE GIFTS AND TALENTS

An investigation in the church area

can serve as the basis for a chain of
prayers and calls to arise
volunteers for the various ministries that
the church can develop.
2. CHANNEL STEWARDSHIP OF THOSE
BELIEVERS THROUGH THE CHURCH

Believers have sensitivities to

sympathize with those who suffer. The
generosity of believers must continue
an order: first give yourself, second
give of your goods. So that the testimony
of the gospel be strengthened in the church and
also so that the glory belongs to God, not
of the church, missionaries, or leaders.
3. TRUST THE GENEROSITY OF THE
GOD'S PEOPLE

Resist the temptation to go searching for resources

financial outside the generosity of the
church, because contribution is a
privilege within the members of the
church. Through contribution
voluntary are more closely integrated into
the kingdom of God (Matt. 6:21)
4. TRUST IN DEMOCRACY

Voluntary participation and

equitable of all
congregation.
5. PROMOTE COOPERATION
BETWEEN CHURCHES

Giving is, now and always, more

blessed thing to receive. Your church
has a lot to give and a lot to receive
in cooperation with other churches.
But there should be no concern in giving,
because love is giving without expecting anything
change, at that point begins the
Christian maturity.
6. USE THE MOST EFFECTIVE MEANS IN THE
FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION OF THE
CHURCH
When it comes to money, we are all very sensitive since it represents part of our own
lives. Therefore, the finances of the Church, when well managed, are an extremely
important factor in the encouragement and practice of Christian stewardship.
1. Make budgets for each ministry in your church
2. Prepare annual or semi-annual budgets that project the needs of the church to
achieve objectives.
3. Just a treasury and see how to raise more to increase the church funds.
4. Centralize tithes and offerings in an act of worship to God.
5. Provide financial reports periodically in newsletters.
6. Be supportive of brothers in need.
1 TITHING…STARTING POINT
. It is 10% of income, a symbolic reference in
gratitude to what God gives us.
2 . Expression of worship to God
3 . We express that we understand the sovereignty of
God over the world and over our lives.
4 . It is an indicator, it is a spiritual thermometer of
the believer and the church.
Chapter V
STEWARDSHIP OF
THE SOURCES OF
LIFE
STEWARDSHIP OF WORK
Man was placed on the earth to administer it
as a faithful steward
“So that there may be no beggar among you; because
Jehovah will bless you with abundance in the land that
The Lord your God gives you as an inheritance to take
possession, if you will faithfully listen to the voice of the Lord
your God,
to keep and fulfill all these commandments that I
I order you today.” (Dt. 15:4-20)
STEWARDSHIP OF CHARACTER
Every vocation being a divine vocation
professional must be exercised with
honesty. He is regenerating his character
according to the character of God, it must be

Just like everyone else.
STEWARDSHIP OF PROSPERITY

Everyone's prosperity depends on

effort of each one, the butler
Christian understands that to prosper in his
work, in your profession, in your development
economic, social or cultural is part of the
prosperity of his country and the progress of
humanity. It also influences progress
of the kingdom of God
STEWARDSHIP OF LIFE
Life is a supreme good, the supreme gift of the
creator to the human being. Once granted, it becomes
property of the human being who will give the treatment or
the destination you choose.
The salary, the profit from the work of the butler
Christian should not cause in any way:
1. Damage to your own physical, mental or spiritual life.
2. Damage to the life of your fellow man
3. Deterioration of the meaning of life.
We must live life in the 4 seasons of the year, not
only in spring. Each phase of life has its
charm to be enjoyed
The Christian does not seek to glorify himself, but to bless others.
his neighbor and place his gifts and talents before God. In the
STEWARDSHIP OF THE GIFTS
neighbor's happiness is his delight and in the glory of God
This is your victory. Everyone has different talents and
gifts, however they all complement each other and help each other
mutually for the complementation of the body of
Christ (Eph. 4:12). It means that each one must discover and
develop your own gifts, according to your abilities
natural, or according to the aptitudes granted
supernaturally by the Holy Spirit.
