Kumit Semester Report June 2023
1
Introduction:
We are pleased to present the end of semester report for Kumam Mission Team, a faith-
based organization under Kyambogo Christian Union. Our vision is clear: to preach the
gospel to the lost humanity for fellowship and maturity. Guided by the mission to present
the gospel of Jesus Christ to all mankind as a commandment (Matthew 28:19), we are
committed to fulfilling our purpose with unwavering dedication.
With our motto, "To preach the gospel of Christ" (Matthew 28:19), we embrace the
responsibility of being messengers of God's love and grace. As a non-political, non-
denominational, and non-profit ministry, our aims are focused and aligned with our faith
and core values.
Firstly, we are passionate about spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all
mankind. Through various outreach initiatives and evangelistic endeavors, we strive to share
the message of salvation, extending hope, and inviting others to experience the
transformative power of faith. As we strive to fulfill our mission, we hold dear the core values
of godliness, integrity, unity, and servant hood. These values shape our attitudes, guide our
actions, and ensure that we operate with utmost sincerity, honesty, and humility.
Activities
Our commitment to spreading the gospel and fostering spiritual growth has resulted in a
range of impactful activities during the course of the semester. Through active participation
in events, conducting regular fellowships, engaging in online platforms, visiting partner
churches, and conducting Bible studies, we have strengthened fellowship, deepened
knowledge, and made meaningful connections within our faith community.
I. Participation in the Intermission Gala organized by Kyambogo Christian Union:

II. Conducting Weekly Fellowship in Different Hostels:
Our weekly fellowships (Sunday evening) held in various hostels have been crucial in
nurturing spiritual connections and discipleship among our members. These gatherings
create a supportive environment for sharing testimonies, engaging in worship, and receiving
teachings. By bringing fellowship directly to the hostels, we ensure accessibility and
inclusivity for students, fostering a sense of belonging and deepening their understanding of
God's Word.
III. Participation in the Online Fellowship organized by the Mighty KUMIT Uganda
every Friday:
Embracing technology, our participation in the online fellowship organized by the Mighty
KUMIT Uganda has allowed us to connect with believers beyond physical boundaries. By
engaging in these virtual gatherings every Friday, we have expanded our network and shared
the gospel with a wider audience. This platform has become a valuable space for fostering
unity, spiritual growth, and prayerful support among believers, encouraging one another in
faith.
IV. Regular Visits to Partner Churches (Glorious Days Ministries and New Glory in
Jesus Christ Ministries Kampala):
Maintaining strong relationships
with partner churches, Glorious
Days Ministries and New Glory in
Jesus Christ Ministries Kampala,
has been a priority for Kumam
Mission Team. Regular visits to
these churches have facilitated
mutual encouragement, shared
learning, and collaboration in
spreading the gospel. These visits
have strengthened fellowship,
deepened our understanding of
different expressions of faith, and
fostered unity in our collective
mission to bring hope and
transformation to communities.

V. Conducting Bible Studies:
Bible studies hold a central place in nurturing spiritual growth and equipping our members
with a solid understanding of God's Word. Conducting regular Bible studies has allowed us
to delve deeper into Scripture, applying its principles to our lives and ministries. These
sessions have provided a platform for discipleship, intellectual growth, and the development
of a biblical worldview, empowering our members to live out their faith authentically.
Achievement
● Strong Relationships between Partner Churches (Glorious Days Ministries and New Glory
in Jesus Christ Ministries)
● Coordination with Main Christian Union, KUMIT Uganda, KUMIT Alumni, Partner
Churches, and KUMIT Makerere Chapter

Beyond our organizational endeavors, Kumam Mission Team demonstrated compassion and
solidarity by offering support to friends and colleagues during times of hardship. For
instance, we stood with Sister Elizabeth when she experienced the loss of her grandmother,
providing comfort, empathy, and practical assistance. Our commitment to being a caring and
supportive community reflects our dedication to living out the teachings of Jesus Christ and
being a source of strength to those in need.
Challenges
i. Low Turnout in Programs by Members, Especially in Online Fellowship:
One of the challenges encountered by Kumam Mission Team during the semester was a low
turnout of members in various programs, particularly in online fellowships. This posed
difficulties in maintaining active participation and engagement within the team, hindering
the effectiveness of virtual gatherings and spiritual growth opportunities.
ii. Accident during the Football Gala:
During a football gala organized by Kumam Mission
Team, an unfortunate one of our player (Moris
Ajore) got a fracture on his limbs.
However, we are grateful for the support provided
by KUMIT Uganda, both financially and spiritually.
Their assistance played a significant role in aiding
the affected individuals and alleviating the impact
of the incident.
Recommendations:
Improve Member Engagement:
To address the challenge of low turnout in programs, especially online fellowships, Kumam
Mission Team should focus on enhancing member engagement and participation. This can
be achieved through regular communication, personalized invitations, and creating
interactive and meaningful online experiences that cater to the needs and interests of our
members.
Seek Additional Resources and early mobilization of resources.
To overcome the limitation of resources, Kumam Mission Team should explore avenues for
fundraising, partnerships, and sponsorships. Actively seeking financial and material support
from donors, organizations, and alumni can help enhance our capabilities, enabling us to
carry out impactful projects and initiatives.
Align with University Programs:
Efforts should be made to align Kumam Mission Team's activities with the university's
programs and schedules. By coordinating with university authorities and integrating our
activities into existing events or initiatives, we can increase our visibility, collaboration
opportunities, and student participation.
Foster Virtual Connections with Alumni:
In the absence of physical meetings or visits, Kumam Mission Team should leverage
technology to foster virtual connections with alumni. Organizing online alumni gatherings,
mentorship programs, and knowledge-sharing sessions can help bridge the gap and benefit
from the valuable experiences and guidance of our alumni network.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Kumam Mission Team has successfully carried out its mission of spreading
the gospel and fostering fellowship and maturity among believers. Despite the challenges
faced, our commitment to godliness, integrity, unity, and transparency has remained
unwavering. We are grateful for the achievements made, and we acknowledge the need for
continuous improvement.
With the recommended strategies in place, we are confident that Kumam Mission Team will
continue to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities.
