I am eager to pursue the Operations Management course at South Dakota State University as

it aligns perfectly with my career aspirations and academic background. This program will
equip me with the analytical and technical skills necessary to excel in the ever-evolving field
of operations management. With my extensive experience in financial management, tax
compliance, and project accounting, I am confident in my ability to contribute to and benefit
from this program.

My interest in operations management stems from my desire to expand my capabilities in


process optimization, production planning, and quality management. The core modules
offered in this course, such as Operations Strategy, Lean Manufacturing, and Supply Chain
Management, are particularly appealing to me. These subjects will enhance my ability to
streamline operations, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making processes in
an organization.

Currently, I am working as a Project Accountant at Sustainable Management Services Ltd,


where I have honed my skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and project accounting. My
role involves capturing and posting customer payments, managing accounts receivables and
payables, and ensuring tax compliance. I also coordinate with the IT department to develop
applications for tracking project progress, showcasing my ability to bridge the gap between
finance and technology. My experience in programming and web development, including
Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Django, and Flask, further demonstrates my
technical proficiency and readiness for an operations management program.

My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Jomo


Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology, where I graduated with honors. I then
pursued the Moringa Core Programme in Web Development at Moringa School, which
provided me with a solid foundation in programming and IT coordination. These academic
achievements, combined with my professional experience, have prepared me well for the
rigorous coursework and research components of the Operations Management program at
South Dakota State University.

One of my proudest accomplishments was earning a full scholarship to study International


Business Management at State University of Management in Moscow, Russia. This
experience not only broadened my global perspective but also allowed me to publish two
scientific research articles, further developing my research and analytical skills. Working
internationally for Bidco Madagascar, a subsidiary of Bidco Africa, also provided me with
valuable insights into global business operations and enhanced my adaptability and cross-
cultural communication skills.

My ultimate career goal is to become an Operations Manager with strong technical abilities. I
am passionate about optimizing operational processes to drive business success and believe
that the Operations Management course at South Dakota State University will provide me
with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve this goal. The program's focus on
practical applications and industry partnerships will enable me to apply theoretical concepts
to real-world scenarios, preparing me for a successful career in operations management.

I chose South Dakota State University because of its outstanding reputation, renowned
academic excellence, and strong industry connections. I am confident that studying here will
open doors to career advancement and empower me both personally and professionally. The
comprehensive curriculum, combined with the university's commitment to fostering
innovation and critical thinking, makes South Dakota State University the ideal place for me
to pursue my graduate studies in operations management.

In conclusion, I am excited about the opportunity to join the Operations Management


program at South Dakota State University. I am eager to contribute my skills and experience
to the program while gaining new insights and expertise that will help me achieve my career
