PRODUCT DATA SHEET

HydroSeal Matrix
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
HydroSeal Matrix is a high performance two-component, fast-curing, poly methyl-methacrylate (PMMA) resin with integral
chopped polymer fiber reinforcement.

BASIC USE
HydroSeal Matrix is used to form a monolithic, self-adhering and self-terminating reinforced membrane for flashing and repairs
where HydroSeal Resin reinforced with HydroSeal Fleece would be difficult or impossible to install. HydroSeal Matrix is primarily
used in conjunction with Hydrotech’s MM6125® membrane and flashing accessories for a variety of conditions that do not allow
for typical membrane flashing termination requirements. It comes standard in a light grey color.

APPLICATION
• The product can be applied at substrate and ambient temperatures between 37°F (3°C) and 95°F (35°C).
• All substrates must be clean, dry, free of oil, grease, curing compounds, release agents, laitance, gross irregularities, loose,
unsound or foreign material such as moss, algae growth, dirt, ice, snow, water or any other condition that would be detrimental
to adhesion of resin to the substrate. All substrates must be primed with the appropriate HydroSeal Primer prior to the
application of HydroSeal Matrix.
• Thoroughly mix the entire drum of resin for 2-3 minutes before each use, before adding catalyst, and prior to pouring off resin
into a second container if batch mixing.
• Catalyze only the amount of material that can be used within 20 minutes.
• Add pre-measured catalyst to the resin component, stir for 2-minutes using a slow-speed mechanical agitator or stirring stick.
• The amount of catalyst added is based on the weight of the resin used and the anticipated ambient conditions.

Tip: Each scoop provided with the HydroSeal Catalyst is equal to roughly 0.01 kg. i.e., 2% catalyst for each 1 kg of resin = 2
scoops of catalyst powder; 4% catalyst for each 1 kg resin = 4 scoops of catalyst powder, etc.

• Pot life and working times noted below are approximate, provided as a guideline, and may vary. Actual set and cure times
should be established in the field based on actual field conditions.
• Pot Life: approx. 20 minutes
• Rainproof: approx. 30 minutes
• Next Coat: approx. 45 minutes
• Fully Cured: approx. 3 hours
• After mixing, apply resin to clean and primed substrate and lap over previously installed MM6125 membrane and/or flashing
application at the required consumption using a trowel, or brush. The resin should be spread evenly onto the surface at a
minimum consumption between 0.23 kg/sqft (2.5 kg/sqm) to 0.36 kg/sqft (3.9 kg/sqm) achieving an approximate 80 to 125
mils depth respectively. After troweling the resin in place finish the surface by smoothing out with an approved roller or brush.
