TheAssembliesofGodhereinthePhilippines,forexample,hasgrownnowtomore than4000churches.Butitismorethanjustnumbers.TheHolySpirits involvementinthelifeoftheindividualmembersandofthechurchhascausedthe movementtogrow.Becausewehavediscipleshipinthelocalchurches,wewere abletoraiseordinarypeopletodotheworksoftheministry.BythegraceofGod, themovementhasremainedtruetoitspriorityreasonforbeingthatis: tobeanagencyofGodforevangelizingtheworld, tobeacorporatebodyinwhichmanmayworshipGod, andtobeachannelofGodspurposetobuildabodyofsaintsbeing perfectedintheimageofHisSon.

Rightafterthecelebration,theleadershipteamdesiredtorallythechurchtowardsa moreaggressiveoutreachtothepeopleinthecommunityaresidentialcommunityjust outsideManila.Theybelievethatthiscanbedonebystrengtheningthediscipleship systemwithinthechurch.HearingofthePGCAGsIntentionalMovesDiscipleship Framework,theydecidedtoadoptthesystemandstartedworkingonhowtheycan mobilizetheirmembersforministryandmissions. AkeyelementinadoptingtheIMisthestrategicplanningwhichaimstohelpdiscover strategicinitiativesonhowtoblendIMwiththeexistingprogramsandactivitiesofthe church.Inthisplanning,theteamassessedtheministriesofthechurchanddiscovered severalissuesthatmayaffecttheimplementationofIMintheirchurch.Oneofthe crucialissuesthatsurfacedduringtheplanningwasthefactthattherehasbeena numberofnurturingministriesinthechurch.Throughtheyears,thechurchhas implementedthetraditionalfellowships(CA,WM,MM,etc),hasBiblestudies,cell groups,andhousechurchcelebrations.Yet,despiteallthese,theleadershipteam stronglyfeelsthatonlyaverysmallpercentageofthechurchmembersarereally discipledandmobilizedforministryandmissions.Anotherissuethatcameoutofthe planningisthemanyactivitiesundertakenbyitsdepartmentsthatmakethescheduling ofactivitiesdifficult.Thedepartmentheads,whoarealsopartoftheleadershipteam, haveimplementedmanyprogramsandactivitieswithintheirrespectivedepartments thathavetakenmuchofthepeoplestime.TheideaofthechurchimplementingIM soundsgoodbuttheyfearthatthiswillbeaddedjustasanotheractivityontopofthe manyotheractivitiesinthechurch.

AllAboutChristAG(AAC)ispioneeredintheheartofabustlingurbancenterwhere manypeoplefromtheprovinceschoosetolivebecauseofemployment.Theurban centerisalsoaneducationalhubwheremanycollegesanduniversitiesarelocated. Becauseofthis,PastorJohnbeganhischurchplantingeffortsbypenetratingschoolsand reachingouttothestudents.Injustfewmonths,hewasabletogatherpeoplewho serveasthecoreoftheAAC.Althoughstudents,PastorJohnbelievethattheycanbe raisedtobecomeleadersofthechurch. WhiledoingBiblestudiesamongstudents,PastorJohnbecameconnectedwiththe parentsofthestudentsandstartedBiblestudieswiththemaswell.Hewassoexcited withthisnewdevelopmentinhisministry.However,theendofschoolyearcameandhe hadtoletgoofsomeofhisstudentleadersinordertogobacktotheirrespective hometowns.Thismadehimrealizetheneedtodohisbesttodisciplethestudentswhile theyarestillwithhim.Also,hesawanopportunitythattheycouldbemissionariesand reachouttotheirfamily,theirfriendsandthepeopletheywillworkwithinthefuture. Whenevaluatingallthesedevelopments,PastorJohnrealizedthattheministryis confrontedwiththesechallenges:thereachingoutofstudents,thereachingoutto families,themeansofequippingthatwillempowerthemtobemissionariestotheir familiesandworkplaces,andthestabilityofthechurchespeciallywhenstudentleaders comeandgo.
