Keindahan Bulan Suci Ramadhan

Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh
Alhamdulillah. Assalatu wassalamu ‘ala rasulillah, wa ala alihi wasohbihi wa mawwalah.

Brothers and sisters;

First of all, let us say thanks to Allah for all the blessings, especially the opportunity and the age we
have, so we can greet the holy month of Ramadan 1443 H 2022.

May peace and blessings always be upon Muhammad SAW. Hopefully it is going to be helpful for
us in the Day of Judgement.

Brothers and sisters,

Alhamdulillah, it is such great honor for me to have you all here before the glorious month, that is
Ramadan.

It is not a holy month, but this ninth month in the Islamic calendar is also as a month of forgiveness
that full of blessings and distinctions.

So, in this nice occasion, I would like to deliver a short speech about the beauty and distinct of
Ramadan.

Brothers and sisters,

The month of Ramadan is a beautiful month which have so many distinctions. In fact, because of its
beauty, Rasulullah SAW multiplied fasting in the month of Rajab and Sya’ban as an effort to
welcoming the holy month of Ramadan.

In the month that full of blessings, we are commanded to do fasting for a month, maximize every
compulsory worship and sunnah we did for gaining multiplied rewards. Afterwards, what are the
beauties and distinct of Ramadan?

Brothers and sisters,

The first distinct of Ramadan is to do fasting in the month of Ramadan as for Allah blotted out all
the sins of a man in the past time.

Allah obligates people who have faith to do fasting in the month of Ramadan according to Qur’an

Surah al-Baqarah verse 183;

‫َٰٓيَأُّيَها ٱَّلِذ يَن َء اَم ُنوْا ُك ِتَب َع َلۡي ُك ُم ٱلِّص َياُم َك َم ا ُك ِتَب َع َلى ٱَّلِذ يَن ِم ن َقۡب ِلُك ۡم َلَع َّلُك ۡم َتَّتُقوَن‬
]183:‫[البقرة‬
Latin: Yaaaaa ayyuhalladziina aamanuu kutiba ‘alaikumus-shiyaamu kamaa kutiba ‘alalladziina
min qoblikum la’allakum tattaquun.

Which means:
What Allah provided for those who fasting in the month of Ramadan?

Brothers and sisters;

In the hadith narrated by Abu Huraira (Sahih Bukhari (38) and Muslim (760) Rasulullah said;

‫َم ْن َص اَم َر َم َض اَن ِإيَم اًنا َو اْح ِتَس اًبا ُغ ِفَر َلُه َم ا َتَقَّد َم ِم ْن َذْنِبِه‬
.Latin: Man shooma romadhoona iimaanan wahtisaaban ghufirolahu maa taqoddama min dzambih

Which means:

Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain
Allah’s rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.

Let us imagine, only by doing fasting purely because of Allah and expecting a reward from Allah,
so that his sins will be forgiven. Moreover, there are a lot of things we can do as complementary
worship, such as Tarawih, Witir, Reading Qur’an, and night Prayer in the month of Ramadan, aren’t
they?

In the hadith transmitted by Imam al Bukhari (370 and Imam Muslim (759), Rasulullah SAW said
that:

‫َم ْن َقاَم َر َم َض اَن ِإيَم اًنا َو اْح ِتَس اًبا ُغ ِفَر َلُه َم ا َتَقَّد َم ِم ْن َذْنِبِه‬
Latin: Man qooma romadhoona iimaanan wahtisaaban ghufirolahu maa taqoddama min dzambih.

Which means:

Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping
to attain Allah’s rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven.

If we pay attention to the word of those hadiths, there are hardly any meaningful difference, aren’t
that? So that’s why Fasting in the month of Ramadan is specially primarily deed.

Brothers and sisters,

The second distinct and beauty of Ramadan is; the month of Ramadan is a month where Al-Qur’an
is revealed, exactly the night of Lailatul Qadr. Allah said in the Qur’an, Surah al -Qadr verse 1:

]1:‫ِإَّنٓا َأنَز ۡل َٰن ُه ِفي َلۡي َلِة ٱۡل َقۡد ِر [الـقدر‬

Which means:

Indeed, we sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree

If we take a close look at every word of Al-Qur’an and those messages contained in it, aren’t they
something special and beautiful?
Plus, in the month of Ramadan, there is Night which is better than thousand months. It is called the
Night of Lailatul Qadr. The Night where we can pray once but it is the same with pray all a long for
84 years. What a beautiful Ramadan is, MasyaAllah.

Brothers and sisters,

The other beauty of Ramadan is that the heaven’s gate and the kindness are opened. Rasululullah
SAW mentions at Sahih Bukhari No. 1899:

‫ِإَذ ا َد َخ َل َر َم َض اُن ُفِّتَح ْت َأْبَو اُب اْلَج َّنِة َو ُغ ِّلَقْت َأْبَو اُب َج َهَّنَم َو ُس ْلِس َلْت الَّش َياِط يُن‬
Latin: Idzaa dakhola romadhoonu futtihat abwaabul jannati wa ghulliqot abwaabu jahannama wa
sulsilas-syayaatiin.

Which means:

When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are
closed and devils are chained.

If we check out more fervently, when the Heaven’n gates are opened, so there are gates of kindness
and forgiveness will also be opened, so that the praying we said will granted, insyaAllah.

Brothers and sisters,

Actually, there are many other texts or hadiths that support how beauty and distinct the month of
Ramadan, but I can not tell you today because it is the end of my speech.

For all the mistakes I made, please forgive me, and let us be happy to welcome the holy month of
Ramadan by not to give up in achieving piety.

Teman-teman yang berbahagia;

Pertama di atas segalanya, marilah kita bersyukur kepada Allah atas segala nikmat, terutama nikmat
sehat, nikmat kesempatan, serta nikmat umur sehingga kita bisa menyapa bulan Suci Ramadhan
1443 Hijriah tahun 2022.

Shalawat teriring salam mari kita hadiahkan kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW. Semoga dengan
seringnya bershalawat kita akan mendapatkan pertolongan beliau di Hari Kiamat nanti.

Teman-teman yang berbahagia;

Alhamdulillah. Senang sekali rasanya saya bisa menyapa teman-teman jelang tibanya bulan
Ramadhan yang mulia.
Tidak hanya bulan yang suci, bulan kesembilan dalam Kalender Islam ini juga disebut sebagai
bulan ampunan, bulan yang penuh berkah, hingga bulan yang penuh dengan keistimewaan.

Nah, pada kesempatan yang mulia ini saya ingin menyampaikan pidato singkat tentang keindahan
dan keistimewaan bulan Ramadhan.

Teman-teman yang insyaAllah dirahmati oleh Allah SWT;

Bulan Ramadhan adalah bulan yang begitu indah karena terkandung banyak keistimewaan di
dalamnya. Bahkan, saking indahnya, Rasulullah SAW memperbanyak puasa di bulan Rajab dan
Sya’ban sebagai ikhtiar dalam menyambut bulan suci Ramadhan.

Di bulan yang penuh berkah ini, kita diperintahkan untuk berpuasa selama satu bulan penuh, serta
memaksimalkan setiap ibadah dan amalan-amalan sunnah dengan bonus pahala yang berlipat
ganda.

Lalu, apa saja keindahan dan keistimewaan bulan Ramadhan?

Teman-teman yang berbahagia;

Keistimewaan bulan Ramadhan yang pertama ialah melaksanakan puasa Ramadhan dengan bonus
akan dihapuskan segenap dosa seorang hamba di masa lalu.

Allah mewajibkan orang-orang yang beriman untuk berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan berdasarkan Al-
Qur’an Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 183:

‫َٰٓيَأُّيَها ٱَّلِذ يَن َء اَم ُنوْا ُك ِتَب َع َلۡي ُك ُم ٱلِّص َياُم َك َم ا ُك ِتَب َع َلى ٱَّلِذ يَن ِم ن َقۡب ِلُك ۡم َلَع َّلُك ۡم َتَّتُقوَن‬
]183:‫[البقرة‬
Bacaan Latin: Yaaaaa ayyuhalladziina aamanuu kutiba ‘alaikumus-shiyaamu kamaa kutiba
‘alalladziina min qoblikum la’allakum tattaquun.

Artinya:

Hai orang-orang yang beriman, diwajibkan atas kamu berpuasa sebagaimana diwajibkan atas orang-
orang sebelum kamu agar kamu bertakwa, [Al Baqarah:183]

Apa bonus yang Allah sediakan sebagai imbalan dari kewajiban berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan?

Teman-teman yang saya hormati;

Dalam hadis Riwayat Imam Al-Bukhari nomor 38, dan Imam Muslim nomor 760 diterangkan
bahwa barangsiapa yang melaksanakan puasa di bulan ramadhan, maka dosanya di masa lalu akan
diampuni.

Berikut lafadz hadisnya:

‫َم ْن َص اَم َر َم َض اَن ِإيَم اًنا َو اْح ِتَس اًبا ُغ ِفَر َلُه َم ا َتَقَّد َم ِم ْن َذْنِبِه‬
Bacaan Latin: Man shooma romadhoona iimaanan wahtisaaban ghufirolahu maa taqoddama min
dzambih.
Artinya:

Barangsiapa yang berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan karena iman dan mengharap pahala dari Allah maka
dosanya di masa lalu akan diampuni.

Bayangkan saja, teman-teman. Hanya dengan berpuasa dengan niat yang tulus untuk Allah, maka
dosa-dosa kita akan diampuni.

Ditambah lagi, pada bulan puasa itu banyak amalan-amalan pelengkap seperti shalat Tarawih,
Witir, Tadarus Qur’an, hingga shalat malam, kan?

Dalam hadis Riwayat Imam Al-Bukhari nomor 37, dan Imam Muslim nomor 759, Rasulullah SAW
menerangkan bahwa barangsiapa yang mendirikan qiyam alias shalat tarawih di bulan Ramadhan
maka dosa-dosanya di masa lalu juga akan diampuni.
