In the diagram, ABCD is a cyclic quadrilateral in which BA - BC and BA is parallel to CD.

10 A train travelling on a straight track passes a signal X with speed 30m/s and, 20 seconds later, passes

The diagram shows the vertical cross-section BQRS of an open trough made from plastic sheeting.
The lengths of Pg, QR and RS are 20 cm, 30 cm and 20 cm respectively. The trough rests with QR on
horizontal ground and both Pg and RS are inclined at an angle 6 radians to the ground.

A farmer fences part of his land. He puts fences around the perimeter of the triangular field ABC
and also from B to D, where D is the mid-point of AC. Angle BAC = angle BCA = 0 radians and the
lengths of AB and BC are 80 m.
