Alarm Severity
⚫ Alarm severity is used to identify the level that an alarm affects the service. There are four
alarm severities: Critical, Major, Minor, and Warning.

Alarm Type Remarks

Faults at this level affect services provided by the system, and must be cleared
Critical immediately. A critical alarm is reported when, for example, a device or resources
become unavailable.
Faults at this level affect the quality of service (QoS), and must be cleared immediately.
Major For example, when the QoS of a device or resource degrades, it must be restored to full
capability.
Faults at this level do not affect the QoS, and must be cleared at a proper time or given
Minor
further observation to prevent severe faults from developing.
Faults at this level may affect provided services, and need to be handled based on the
Warning
actual conditions.

The process of a monitoring task(1)
⚫ Creating a monitoring task on the eLMT
 After you create a monitoring task on the eLMT, the eLMT sends a binary command to the eSCN230
to create the task.
 The eSCN230 allocates an ID to the task and forwards the command to the monitoring management
module of a specified board.
 After receiving the command, the monitoring management module informs the service processing
module of the command. Then, the service processing module starts performance monitoring.
