Step 1 - Open MS Excel and copy the table

Step 2 - Select the cells you want to create a PivotTable from.

Step 3 - Select Insert > Pivot Table

Step 4 - Under Choose the data that you want to analyze, select Select a table or range.
Step 5 - Under Choose where you want the PivotTable report to be placed, select New worksheet to place
the PivotTable in a new worksheet or Existing worksheet and then select the location you want the PivotTable
to appear.

Step 6 - Select OK .

Step 2 – For adding solver file > options > add-ins > select solver add-in and click on go

Step 3 – select the solver add in and click ok

Step 4 - Go to data tab > select solver


Step 5 – Fill the solver parameters in the dialog box, adding constraints > click on solve

Step -6 Click on continue to proceed further

Step 3 - Add scenario for the low cost, high cost & average cost and click okay

Step 4 - Here I am selecting low cost for ticketing, high cost for performance and average cost for the
amplification

Step 5 – Click on summary > then click on show

OBJECTIVE – To perform the data validation criteria by whole number range in
between 1- 99 in MS Excel.
DATA VALIDATION CRITERIA BY -
WHOLE NUMBERS DATE TEXT LENGTH DECIMAL

Step 1- Open MS Excel and copy the table

Step 2- Select the whole numbers cell > Go to data tab > data validation > choose whole number in allow
and select minimum & maximum value (Here I am selecting minimum value 1 & maximum value 99 ) and
click ok

Step- 3 Now type any value in between 1-99 data the data is showing in the cell and if we choose the value
greater than 99 then it shows the error in data validation.

PRACTICAL 6
OBJECTIVE – To perform the data validation criteria by date range in between 1 MAY
2023 – 10 MAY 2023 in MS Excel.
DATA VALIDATION CRITERIA BY -
WHOLE NUMBERS DATE TEXT LENGTH DECIMAL

Step 1- Open MS Excel and copy the table

Step 2- Select the date cell > Go to data tab > data validation > choose date in allow and select start date &
end date (Here I am choosing date range 1 MAY 2023 – 10 MAY 2023 ) and click ok

Step- 3 Now type any date in between 1-10 MAY the data is showing in the cell and if we choose any date
after 10 th may then it shows the error in data validation function.

PRACTICAL 7
OBJECTIVE – To perform the data validation criteria by text length in between 1 – 5
text length in MS Excel.
DATA VALIDATION CRITERIA BY -
WHOLE NUMBERS DATE TEXT LENGTH DECIMAL

Step 1- Open MS Excel and copy the table

Step 2- Select the date cell > Go to data tab > data validation > choose date in allow and select Minimum
text length & maximum text length (Here I am choosing date range 1 – 5 text length) and click ok

Step- 3 Now type any date in between 1- 5 text length the data is showing in the cell and if we choose any
word greater than 5 text, then it shows the error in data validation function.

OBJECTIVE – To perform the data validation criteria by decimal place value between
10.50 – 20.50 for the given table in MS Excel.
