New features:
• Support for InteliGen-NT was added – SUS application is availlable for InteliGen hardware.
• archive MINT, Combi and COX work with SUS dongle (SUS + LSM+PMS) or with standard
dongle (LSM+PMS) –the function is the same for both dongles
- Main mettering screen of InteliVision 8 has been changed. The RPM gauge has been
replaced by operating values (apparent power, PF, GenV, water temp, fuel level, oil
press, etc.). Supported only in InteliVision v. 2.0 FW.
- Base colour of all label text in IV5 has been changed to white.
- Diagram of the site viewing states of the mains voltage, generator voltage and breakers
has been added into the status bar of InteliVision 8.
• Support of screen editor – function of screen editor of InteliVision 5 and InteliVisoin 8 has been
added in GenConfig 2.6. This function is supported in controller since IGS-NT-SUS 1.3.
• User defined buttons in Inteli Vision 5 and InteliVisoin 8 – user defined buttons in IV 5 and IV
8 support has been added (definition of user defined butons can be done via GenConfig 2.6 -
screen editor). Actions: Jump on any screen, definable name of button, set/reset/togle comand
for BI.
• Next Over Load Start function in MINT application has been changed. Level for starting of next
gen-set has been decrased to 90% of actual nominal power of all gen-sets on the bus. Start of
next gen-set is delayed for time OverldNextDel. This function prevents overloading of gen-sets in
case that no load reserve start level has not been set.

• ECU binary values – all binary values read from ECU are reset to “zero” in case that
communication get lost.
• IS-NT, IG-NT HW and SW mismatch – application get not running in case of loading FW for IS-
NT into IG-NT HW and vice versa. Controller stays in Init mode.
• Setpoint changes
- AirGate Server (Comms settings group) - Setpoint has been renamed on AirGate.
Default value has been changed on ENABLED.
- IP addr mode (Comms settings group) - Default value of setpoint has been changed on
AUTOMATIC.
- AirGate IP (Comms settings group) – Default value has been set on airgate.comap.cz.
- 2Inom del (Gener protect group) – Range of setpoint has been changed to 600 s.
- Max+CylDifPmin, Max-CylDifPmin, Max+CylDifPnom, Max-CylDifPnom (Engine
protect Group – Range of setpoints has been limited for positive values (setpoints mean
absolute value of deviation).
• New LBO PeakShaveAct – the logical binary output is active when the gen-set is running due to
Peak Shaving (dependence on parameters PeakLevelStart, PeakLevelStop, PeakAutS/S del in
ProcessControl group, available in SPtM and COMBI application only).
• New Values – GL16, GL32 binary values has been added to the values of controller. Active bit
within the value means that corresponding controller has closed its GCB.
• Writing of shared setpoints – Shared setpoints of single controller (no other controller
communicating on CAN2) can be rewriten by Gen config (GenConfig 2.6). Shared setpoints can
not be rewriten in case, that any other controller is connected on CAN2.
• PLC functions
- Number of logical PLC blocks of IS-NT archive controller (all hardware variations) has
been increased. PLC logic can contain up to 100 AND/OR blocks and up to 100 XOR/RS
blocks.
- Number of available PLC blocks of standard IG-NT archive has been increased on
number of PLC blocks of IG-NT-mCHP except PLC blocks Regulators.

Repaired Bugs
• The possibility to set the speed measurement based on generator frequency has been removed
as it is not applicable to SUS.
• Changed behaviour of UV coil. UV coil stayed active in the OFF mode and did not switch off even
if bus voltage was out of range. UV coil signal was not deactivated even if GCB fail alarm was
issued. Problem fixed – UV coil’s behaviour is now inversion of GCB OFF coil.

• GCB opened after finishing countdown of the Min stab time when the GCB disable function was
active. Problem fixed.
• Parameter Power management: MinRunPower1 influences the number of sets which proceed to
successful SUS start. This parameter represents maximum expected load which will be applied to
gensets after SUS start. So in case this parameter is lower then Nominal power of any set, then it
can happen, that this single set will be loaded (AVR will be excited) and other sets will be refused
from SUS start. This can happen in a situation, when a set will have active BO: ReadyToExcite,
but the other sets not, and then because this set is supposed to cover all expected load, it is not
worth of waiting for other sets to get their RPM within adjusted window, to delay the load take over
from UPS. In such a situation all other sets with not active BO:ReadyToExcite will open their GCB
and their AVRs will be energized.

General description
IS-NT-SUS software branch is characterized by following features:
All applications:
− There are two modes of engine start: standard and start with GCB closed selected by a new setpoint
ProcessControl:GCBClosedStart
− Binary input StopExcitation must be active when the genset should start and run deexcited. It blocks the
voltage and frequency protections. Parallel contact from the AVR excitation control relay could be used.
− GCB closed start: If the engine speed is in the required window from the nominal speed (setpoint
ProcessControl:Excite window) for 1s (fixed delay), then the binary output ReadyToExcite closes.
− If the set does not reach the required speed within the given timeout Process control: Excite Timeout
from reaching the starting speed + Idle time, the GCB is opened, StopExcitation input must be
deactivated and standard start is performed.

− If binary input StopExcitation is activated (in case of GCB closed), controller deactivates voltage and
frequency protections and the genset is running deexcited. On deactivation of binary input
StopExcitation the voltage and frequency protections are activated again with Engine params:Max stab
time delay.

MINT application:
− If the Sys start/stop command is activated in dead bus condition, all sets that should start according
to load reserve are started in GCB closed mode if it is enabled by GCBClosedStart.
− New BO: SUS excitation is added. This BO became active/unactive according to the following
schema:
In the schema the ‘input’ MinNGRSUSful (Minimum Number of Gensets Ready for SUS Fulfilled) is
used. This ‘input’ became active when the sum of nominals of engines with active BO:ReadyToExcite
exceeds the setpoint value: #Pwr management:MinRunPower 1. This condition is evaluated via
CAN2 line.

Single applications:
− GCB closed start: Before any attempt for start, the controller starting to the dead bus closes its GCB
and starts the engine. If MCB is closed at that time (SPtM in parallel to mains); standard start is
performed.

New setpoints
GCBClosedStart [ENABLED/DISABLED]
Enables and disables start with GCB closed.
Step: 0.1 %
Range: 0.0 – 100.0 %
StopExcSource [INTERNAL/EXTERNAL]
This setpoint defines the source of the BI:StopExcitation.
If INTERNAL is chosen, the BI:StopExcitation is controlled internally, according to the following
description:
When the GCBClosedStart is Enabled, the StopExcitation input is activated simultaneously with the start
of genset, which should start and run deexcitated. When the BO:SUS excitation is activated, the
BI:StopExcitation is deactivated. The BI:StopExcitation is deactivated at latest with the ExciteTimeout
expiration, regardless the state of BO:SUS excitation.
If EXTERNAL is chosen, the BI StopExcitation is controlled externally (e.g. from PLC) and this input must
be configured as a physical input to the controller.

GCB closed start: If the engine speed is in the required window from the nominal speed (setpoint
ProcessControl:Excite window) for 1s (fixed delay), then the binary output ReadyToExcite closes. If the
set does not reach the required speed within the given timeout Process control:Excite timeout from
reaching the starting speed +Idle time, the GCB is opened, StopExcitation input must be deactivated and
standard start is performed.
If is MinRunPower1< sum all gen-sets on the bus, which are into required window of speed (are
ReadyToExcite), then this condition is met and these gen-sets (with active ReadyToExcite) are excited –
and the rest of gen-sets are rejected (their GCBs are opened and are synchronised by standard way later)
If MinRunPower1> sum of all „ReadyToExcite“ gen-sets and TimeToLoad=0 , then after time
(ExciteTimeout + TimeToLoad) the gen-sets are never excited, and run deexcited.
Attention: Only gen-set with highest priority are started (we recommended to set the same priority of all
gen-sets).
