BPOC RESOLUTION NO. 8 SERIES OF 2022
A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF TIBGAO TO PASS OR ENACT THE
APPROPRIATE LEGISLATIVE MEASURE REGULATING THE USE OF VIDEOKE AND KARAOKE MACHINES
AND OTHER AMPLIFIED AUDIO AND SOUND DEVICES
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the Local Government Code provides that every local government unit shall exercise
the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate,
or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the
general welfare;
WHEREAS, since there are videoke and karaoke machines which are being used by the residents until the
wee hours in the morning, this Council has recognized the need to regulate it in order to prevent any
disturbance it may cause to residents;
WHEREAS, due to the fact that all residential houses in the barangay are contiguous and adjacent to each
other, the noise that will be generated by these machines can deeply affect the peaceful environment and
tranquility of the residents and the barangay in general;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of KGD. EDUARDO A. AFRICA duly seconded by SK CHAIR BRIAN M. SAN
JOAQUIN and duly concurred in by all members of the Barangay Peace and Order Council present, be it
resolved, as it is hereby resolved, to recommend to the Sangguniang Barangay of Tibgao the passage or
enactment of an appropriate legislative measure regulating the use of videoke and karaoke machines and
other amplified audio and sound devices in this Barangay;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished the Sangguniang Barangay of this Barangay
for information and guidance.
