MNS30 release + problem with RIB6 Network stability.
Description.
Improved MFD software MNS30 is released April 2010. At the same time also new firmware for RIB is is
available. To guarantee full advantage of new improved version following actions must be performed.
• Ghost and upgrade to MNS30. (Use MNS29 upgrade guide)
• Upgrade firmware in RIB6 to release 33. (Use RIB6 FW upgrade guide, with new firmware )
• Change Ethernet adapter drive setting in all computers according to instructions below. This will
be default settings in future release of OS image files.
• Enable watchdog by solder R2 in RIB6 according to below instructions, if this not already done
(SB16)
All firmware and instructions can be downloaded from Jet any time.
Ethernet Adapters Driver Adjustments
Open Device Manager and for each Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC adapter
perform the following settings:
1. Go to page Advanced of the Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
Properties window and disable Wake-On-Lan After Shutdown:

2. Go to page Power Management and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to
save power checkbox.
Press OK button.
Note: Make above mentioned settings for both Ethernet adapters.

Enable watchdog functionality
R2 close to reset button must be shortened using soldering iron.
