[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some

great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent
heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall
be burned up.

11 እሰግድ ዘንድ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ከወጣሁ ከአሥራ ሁለት ቀን እንዳይበልጥ
ልታውቀው ትችላለህ።
[8] Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of
whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof
we accuse him.
[9] And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
[10] Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to
speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of
many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully
answer for myself:
[11] Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but
twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.

እንዳላቸው ተስፋ በእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ አለኝ።

[12] And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man,
neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
[13] Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
[14] But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call
heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are
written in the law and in the prophets:
[15] And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that
there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

17 ከብዙ ዓመትም በኋላ ለሕዝቤ ምጽዋትና መሥዋዕት አደርግ ዘንድ መጣሁ፤
18 ይህንም ሳደርግ ሳለሁ ሕዝብ ሳይሰበሰብ ሁከትም ሳይሆን በመቅደስ ስነጻ አገኙኝ።
19 ነገር ግን በእኔ ላይ ነገር ያላቸው እንደ ሆነ፥ በፊትህ መጥተው ይከሱኝ ዘንድ
የሚገባቸው ከእስያ የመጡ አንዳንድ አይሁድ አሉ።
[16] And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience
void of offence toward God, and toward men.
[17] Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and
offerings.
[18] Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the
temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
[19] Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they
had ought against me.

called in question by you this day.

1 ኢየሱስም ከመቅደስ ወጥቶ ሄደ፥ ደቀ መዛሙርቱም የመቅደሱን ግንቦች
ሊያሳዩት ቀረቡ።
2 እርሱ ግን መልሶ። ይህን ሁሉ ታያላችሁን? እውነት እላችኋለሁ፥ ድንጋይ
በድንጋይ ላይ ሳይፈርስ በዚህ አይቀርም አላቸው።
3 እርሱም በደብረ ዘይት ተቀምጦ ሳለ፥ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ ለብቻቸው ወደ እርሱ
ቀርበው። ንገረን፥ ይህ መቼ ይሆናል? የመምጣትህና የዓለም መጨረሻ ምልክቱስ
ምንድር ነው? አሉት።
[1] And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his
disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
[2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I
say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another,
that shall not be thrown down.
[3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto
him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what
shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ አላቸው። ማንም እንዳያስታችሁ ተጠንቀቁ።
5 ብዙዎች። እኔ ክርስቶስ ነኝ እያሉ በስሜ ይመጣሉና፤ ብዙዎችንም ያስታሉ።
6 ጦርንም የጦርንም ወሬ ትሰሙ ዘንድ አላችሁ፤ ይህ ሊሆን ግድ ነውና ተጠበቁ፥
አትደንግጡ፤ ዳሩ ግን መጨረሻው ገና ነው።
7 ሕዝብ በሕዝብ ላይ መንግሥትም በመንግሥት ላይ ይነሣልና፥ ራብም ቸነፈርም
የምድርም መናወጥ በልዩ ልዩ ስፍራ ይሆናል፤
8 እነዚህም ሁሉ የምጥ ጣር መጀመሪያ ናቸው።
[4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man
deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall
deceive many.
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be
not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is
not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in divers places.
[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 በዚያን ጊዜ ለመከራ አሳልፈው ይሰጡአችኋል ይገድሉአችሁማል፥ ስለ ስሜም
በአሕዛብ ሁሉ የተጠላችሁ ትሆናላችሁ።
10 በዚያን ጊዜም ብዙዎች ይሰናከላሉ እርስ በርሳቸውም አሳልፈው ይሰጣጣሉ
እርስ በርሳቸውም ይጣላሉ፤
11 ብዙ ሐሰተኞች ነቢያትም ይነሣሉ ብዙዎችንም ያስታሉ፤
12 ከዓመፃም ብዛት የተነሣ የብዙ ሰዎች ፍቅር ትቀዘቅዛለች።
13 እስከ መጨረሻ የሚጸና ግን እርሱ ይድናል።
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill
you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one
another, and shall hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall
wax cold.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be
saved.

15 እንግዲህ በነቢዩ በዳንኤል የተባለውን የጥፋትን ርኩሰት በተቀደሰችው ስፍራ ቆሞ ስታዩ፥
አንባቢው ያስተውል፥
16 በዚያን ጊዜ በይሁዳ ያሉት ወደ ተራራዎች ይሽሹ፥
17 በሰገነትም ያለ በቤቱ ያለውን ሊወስድ አይውረድ፥
18 በእርሻም ያለ ልብሱን ይወስድ ዘንድ ወደ ኋላው አይመለስ።
19 በዚያችም ወራት ለርጉዞችና ለሚያጠቡ ወዮላቸው።
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world
for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
[15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken
of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let
him understand:)
[16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
[17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing
out of his house:
[18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
[19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck
in those days!

21 በዚያን ጊዜ ከዓለም መጀመሪያ ጀምሮ እስከ ዛሬ ድረስ ያልሆነ እንግዲህም ከቶ የማይሆን
ታላቅ መከራ ይሆናልና።
22 እነዚያ ቀኖችስ ባያጥሩ ሥጋ የለበሰ ሁሉ ባልዳነም ነበር፤ ነገር ግን እነዚያ ቀኖች ስለ
ተመረጡት ሰዎች ያጥራሉ።
23 በዚያን ጊዜ ማንም። እነሆ፥ ክርስቶስ ከዚህ አለ ወይም። ከዚያ አለ ቢላችሁ አትመኑ፤
24 ሐሰተኞች ክርስቶሶችና ሐሰተኞች ነቢያት ይነሣሉና፥ ቢቻላቸውስ የተመረጡትን እንኳ
እስኪያስቱ ድረስ ታላላቅ ምልክትና ድንቅ ያሳያሉ።
[20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the
sabbath day:
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the
beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no
flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be
shortened.
[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there;
believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall
shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.

25 እነሆ፥ አስቀድሜ ነገርኋችሁ።
26 እንግዲህ። እነሆ፥ በበረሀ ነው ቢሉአችሁ፥ አትውጡ፤ እነሆ፥ በእልፍኝ ነው
ቢሉአችሁ፥ አትመኑ፤
27 መብረቅ ከምሥራቅ ወጥቶ እስከ ምዕራብ እንደሚታይ፥ የሰው ልጅ መምጣት
እንዲሁ ይሆናልና፤
28 በድን ወዳለበት በዚያ አሞራዎች ይሰበሰባሉ።
29 ከዚያች ወራትም መከራ በኋላ ወዲያው ፀሐይ ይጨልማል፥ ጨረቃም ብርሃንዋን
አትሰጥም፥ ከዋክብትም ከሰማይ ይወድቃሉ፥
25] Behold, I have told you before.
[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the
desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even
unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be
gathered together.
[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun
be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars
shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be
shaken:

ይታያል፥ በዚያን ጊዜም የምድር ወገኖች ሁሉ ዋይ ዋይ ይላሉ፥ የሰው ልጅንም
በኃይልና በብዙ ክብር በሰማይ ደመና ሲመጣ ያዩታል፤
31 መላእክቱንም ከታላቅ መለከት ድምፅ ጋር ይልካቸዋል፥ ከሰማያትም ዳርቻ እስከ
ዳርቻው ከአራቱ ነፋሳት ለእርሱ የተመረጡትን ይሰበስባሉ።
32 ምሳሌውንም ከበለስ ተማሩ፤ ጫፍዋ ሲለሰልስ ቅጠልዋም ሲያቈጠቍጥ፥ ያን ጊዜ
በጋ እንደ ቀረበ ታውቃላችሁ፤

[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in
heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and
they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven
with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a
trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four
winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
[32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet
tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

34 እውነት እላችኋለሁ፥ ይህ ሁሉ እስኪሆን ድረስ ይህ ትውልድ
አያልፍም።
35 ሰማይና ምድር ያልፋሉ፥ ቃሌ ግን አያልፍም።
36 ስለዚያች ቀንና ስለዚያች ሰዓት ግን ከአባት ብቻ በቀር የሰማይ
መላእክትም ቢሆኑ ልጅም ቢሆን የሚያውቅ የለም።
[33] So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things,
know that it is near, even at the doors.
[34] Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass,
till all these things be fulfilled.
[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words
shall not pass away.
[36] But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not
the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

አሰምዕ ለክሙ ሰማያተ አሰምዕ ለክሙ ምድረ ከመ
ትቁሙ በፍርሃት ወበረዓድ ዘእንበለ ተሃውኮ።
ሰማያትን እዳኝባችኋለሁ፤ ምድርንም
እዳኝባችኋለሁ። ያለ መታወክ በፍርሃትና

I will cause heaven and earth to bear
witness against you so that you may stand
in fear and trembling, none making any

ወኢመኑሂ ኢየሀሉ ዝየ በመዓት ምስለ እኁሁ ከመ
ቃየል እንዘ መስተበቅል ውእቱ።

Let no one remain here who is
angry with his brother, like the
vengeful Cain.

ከባልንጀራው ጋራ ማንም በመጣላት ከዚህ አይኑር።
ሔዋንን እንዳሳታት(እንደ ቀማት)እባብ ከወንድሙ ጋራ
በመሸነጋገል ማንም ከዚህ አይኑር።
Let no one remain here who is quarrelling
with his brother like Dathan and Abiram
who quarreled with Moses
Let no one remain here who is deceitful
towards another. Like the serpent which
deceived Eve.

ካህናት ሆይ ብሩሃን የእግዚአብሔር ዓይኖች እናንተ ናችሁ።
እርስ በርሳችሁ አንዱ ካንዱ ጋራ ተመላካከቱ፤ከወገናችሁ ውስጥ
በፈሊጥ መርምሩ በመጸለይ ከናንተ ጋራ እንዳይቆምና
እንዳይተባበር ሴሰኛም ቢሆን ነፍሰ ገዳይም ቢሆን ጣዖት
የሚያመልክም ቢሆን ሌባም ቢሆን ሐሰተኛም ቢሆን እሊኸውም
ከመንግሥተ ሰማይ በአፍኣ የሚፈረድባቸው አምስት ውሾች
ናቸው።
O priests, you are the bright eyes of God; look to
one another, investigate your people prudently in
order that no adulterer, murderer, idolater, thief
or liar should stand and join you in prayer, those
are the five dogs that are judged outside.

ኃጢአተኛውን እንደ ወንድማችሁ ገሥጹት፤ ለሞት
የሚያበቃ በደል ቢኖርበት በግልጽ ዝለፉት።
የበደለውን ምከሩት ያቺን መንገድ ይተው ዘንድ፤ ይቅር
ሊልለት ወደ እግዚአብሔርም ይመለስ ዘንድ።
Rebuke the sinner as him who is your
brother, and scold him openly if he has
committed a sin unto death. Advise the
wicked to leave that way and submit himself
unto God so that He may forgive him.

O deacons, lights and messengers of the
church, drive away from it the wolf, so that
it may not be among the sheep; the kite,
that it may not be among the doves, and
take away the tares so that they may not be
found among the wheat.

Man did not know he has honor and he
became like the beasts who have not a
heart. Man while he is king, he did not
know it and so at his own will debased
himself to become servant, and those who
are not lords ruled over him.

O Lord, how much Thou has done
for man! Thou stretched heaven as

ውኃን ለምግቡ በከርሠ ደመና ትቋጥራለህ በመዓልት
ደስ ይለው ዘንድ ፀሓይን አበራህ የሌሊት ጨለማም
እንዳይሸፍነው ጨረቃን አሳመርህለት። የጣቶችህንም
ሥራ ያውቅ ዘንድ የከዋክብትን ብርሃን አበራህለት።
ዕለታትንና ዓመታትን ዘመናትንና ወራትን ሰጠኸው

Thou keeps water in the womb of clouds to feed him,
Thou did light the sun that he might be illumined by
day, Thou prepared the moon lest the darkness of night
should cover him, Thou caused the light of the stars to
shine upon him that he might know the work of Thy
fingers, Thou gave him the days of the week, the years,
the seasons and the days of the month so that he

በልዕልና ያለ ነው እንጂ። ….
We have not here a proud, swelling, &
crooked city which is not straight, but we
have that which is above where the
prophets and apostles have come before
us. …..

ለእኛ ከዚህ በአሸዋ የተሠራ ነፋሳት የሚነፍሱበት ፈሳሾች
የሚገፉት ቤት ያለን አይደለም። በላይ ያለች ነፃ
የምትወጣ ኢየሩሳሌም ናት እንጂ አስቀድመው የጳጳሳት
አለቆችና ጳጳሳት ኤጲስቆጶሳት ቀሳውስትና ዲያቆናትም
የገቡባት።
We have not here a house built on sand
against which the winds blow and the floods
beat, but the free Jerusalem which is above
and into which the patriarchs, bishops,
priests and deacons have entered before us.

እሊህ እንደኛ ሥጋን የለበሱ ሲሆኑ ባነዋወራቸው
መላእክትን መሰሉ ሰውነታቸውን አነጹ። ልብሳቸውንም
ነጭ አደረጉ፤ የሥጋቸውንም አዳራሽነት አላሳደፉም፤
ስማቸውም በበጉ ደም በሕይወት መጽሐፍ ውስጥ
ተጻፈ።
And they, being clothed in flesh like us,
resembled the angels in their lives, purified
their souls, made white their garments, did
not defile the abode of their body, and their
names were written in the book of life
through the blood of the Lamb.

እንደ እርሳቸው በሥጋ ተወልደን፤ እኛም ሦስት ልደቶች አሉን።
አንዲቱ ክርስቶስን የምታስመስለን ቅድስት ጥምቀት
ናት።አንዱም በደልንና ኃጢአትን የሚያስተሠርይ የክርስቶስ
ሥጋውና ደሙ ነው። አንዱም ንጹሕ አድርጎ ወደ እግዚአብሔር
የሚያቀርብ ከሰውነት ውስጥ በዮርዳኖስ አምሳል የሚወጣ
በንስሓ ያለ ዕንባ ነው እኛ ሁላችንም ንጹሓን ስንሆን ሥጋችንን
በንጹሕ ውኃ እንጠብ።
We, who were born in flesh like them, have three
births: one is the wonderful holy baptism which makes
us like Christ, one is the body and blood of Christ which
forgive iniquity and sin, and one is the tears of
penitence which flow from within like Jordan and bring
us in purity before God. So let us all, being purified,
wash our bodies with water .

በምስጋና ቃል እግዚአብሔርን እንደሚያመሰግኑት መላእክት እንሁን።
በየማዕርጋቸውና በየማኅበራቸው በየነገዳቸውና በየሠራዊታቸው
በየስማቸው በየቁጥራቸውም የሚጋርዱ አሉ። የሚከቡም አሉ። በዜማ
የሚያመሰግኑ አሉ። የሚዘምሩም አሉ። በልብ የሚያመሰግኑ አሉ። በቃል
የሚያመሰግኑ አሉ።ክንፎቻቸው ፮ የሆኑት እንዲህ ይላሉ ቅዱስ ቅዱስ

We, And let us be like the angels who praise God with
the word of holiness, according to their ranks, their
congregation, their tribes, their hosts, their names and
their number. There are those who cover, those who
encircle, those who make a joyful noise, those who sing,
those who give thanks and those who glorify. Those of
six wings say, “Holy, holy, holy, perfect Lord of hosts.”
Let us say also with them, Holy, holy, holy, God.

የበዓላትን በኵር ኑ ከፍ ከፍ እናድርጋት። ኑ እናመስግናት። ኑ
እናክብራት። ኑ በዓል እናድርጋት። ይህችውም ቅድስት ሰንበተ

Come let us exalt; come, let us praise; come,

ወንኀድግ ኦሪተ ዘቦ ውስቴቱ ፍትሕ ወቀትል ቤዛ ነፍስ ህየንተ
ነፍስ፡፡ መዝሙር ሐዋዝ ዘምስለ መሰንቆ ትእዛዘ ወንጌልኬ ሠናይ
ምስለ ገቢ ሮቱ፡፡
ወንጌልን በዕውነት እንያዝ በውስጡ ትሕትናና ፍቅር ያለበትን
ኦሪትን ግን እንተው በውስጡ ስለነፍስ የነፍስ ቤዛ የሚሆን የሞት
ፍርድ ያለበትን በገና ከመሰንቆ ጋራ የተስማማ ነው የወንጌልም
ትእዛዝ ከመስራቱ ጋር ያማረ ነው፡፡
Truly let us take the Gospel in which there are humility
and love, and let us leave the Law in which there are the
judgement of death and the penalty of a life for a life As
the psaltery is pleasant with the harp so the
commandment of the Gospel is good with its fulfillment.

መሰንቆ ይእቲ ሃይማኖት እንተ ለብስዋ ሰማዕት ንፍሑ ቀርነ በዕለተ
ሠርቅ፡፡
በአማን ንበል ሃሌ ሉያ በመዝሙረ ዳዊት ነቢይ በእምርት ዕለት በዓልነ፡፡
በአማን እምርት ይዕቲ እንተ ባቲ አኃዘ እግዚአብሔር ከመ ይግበር ግብ፡፡
መሰንቆ ሰማዕታት የለበሷት ሃይማኖት ናት በመባቻ ቀን ነጋሪት ምቱ፡፡
በነብዩ በዳዊት መዝሙር በታወቀች በበዓላችን ቀን በዕውነት ሃሌ ሉያ
እንበል፡፡ እግዚአብሔር ሥራውን ይሠራ ዘንድ የጀመረባ በዕውነት
የታወቀች ናት፡፡
The harp is the faith with which the martyrs are clothed. Blow
up the trumpet in the new moon.
Truly let us say : Halleluia in the prophet David’s Psalm, at the
appointed time, on our solemn feast day. Truly it is that time
appointed, in which God began to do His work.

ኦ ዛቲ እለት ለሙሴ በደብረ ሲና ተከስተት ወእምኀበ እስራኤል ተከብተት፡፡
ኦ ዛቲ ዕለት በነቢያት ተዐውቀት ወእምኀበ ሐዝበ አይሁድ ተሠወረት፡፡
በኀቤነሰ ፍጹም አስተርአ አየት ወከመ ፀሓይ አንበስበሰት ለለሰሙኑ
ትሰፍን ወለለሰሙኑ ትነግሥ ወለለሰሙኑ ትትቀመይ፡፡
ወዮ ይህች እለት ለሙሴ በደብረ ሲና ተገለጸች ከእስራኤል ግን ተሰወረች፡፡
ወዮ ይህች ዕለት በነብያት ታወቀች፡፡ ከአይሁድ ወገንም ተሰወረች፡፡ በኛ
ዘንድ ግን ፈጽሞ ተገለጸች እንደ ፀሓይም ተመላለሰች በየሳምንቱ
ትሰለጥናለች በየሳምንቱ ትነግሳለች በየሳምንቱ ትቆጠራለች፡፡
Oh, this day was declared to Moses on the Mount of
Sinai but was hidden from the Israelites.
Oh, this day was known by the prophets and was hidden
from the people of the Jews, but to us it has been
absolutely revealed; it alternates like the sun, it rules
every week and reigns every week and is numbered

ኦ ባዕዳት ዕለታት እንተ ባቲ ተአመርክን ለአዝማን ወለመዋሶል ነዓኬ

ወዮ ይህች ዕለት አብ የቀደሳት ወልድ የባረካት መንፈስ ቅዱስ ከፍ ከፍ ያደረጋት
ናት፡፡ በርሷ ደስ ይበለን፡፡ በርሷም ኀሤት እናድርግ ትከብሩባት ዘንድ
አክብሯት፡፡ ዘመን ወር ለመባል በርሷ የታወቃችሁ ሌሎች እለታት ሆይ
የበዓላትን በኵር ኑ አመስግኗት፡፡ ይህችውም የከበረች ሰንበተ ክርስቲያን ናት፡፡
Oh, this day is what the Father hallowed, the Son blessed
and the Holy Spirit exalted. Let us rejoice and be glad in it
and sanctify it that we may be sanctified through it.
O other days of the week, which are introduced through it
to the seasons and to the days of the month, come ye, let
us praise the holy Sabbath of the Christians which is the
chief of the holy days.

Oh, this day is that in which the old ceased and the
new was confirmed; Oh, this day is that in which the
prisoners were released and the slaves were set free.
Oh, this day is that on which the ruined was rebuilt
and Satan was destroyed.

ኢክረምት ወኢሐጋይ፡፡

ዳግመኛም ይህች ዕለት በምትሰለጥንበት ጊዜ አዲስ ሥራ አዲስ

ነገርም ይሆናል፡፡ ያን ጊዜ የፀሃይና የጨረቃ የከዋከብትም ብርሃን
ወይም ፀዳል ክረምት ወይም በጋ የለም፡፡
Again, when this day rules there will be a new work
and a new thing; and at that time there will not be
the light of the sun or the moon or the stars or
candle or any light, winter or summer.

ወታስተናፍስምድር ፯ተ ዕለታት እንዘ አልቦ ዘይትሐወስ ውስቴታ
ዘነፍስ ሕያው፡፡ ወይትፌኖ ቃል ይትአተት ጽንዐ ሰማያት
ወያድለቀልቅ ግዘፈ ምድር፡፡
በውስጧ በነፍስ ሕያው ሁኖ የሚንቀሳቀስ ፍጥረት
ሳይኖርባት ምድር ሰባት ቀን ታርፋለች እንደ ረቂቅ ፉጨት
ያለ ቃል ይላካል በዚያችም ቃል የሰማያት ጽንዕ ይወገዳል
የምድርም ግዘፍ ይነዋወጻል፡፡
The earth will rest for seven days while there will
not be in it any moving thing of all the living crea-
tures. There will be sent a sounding word; through
the same word the existing heaven will be
destroyed and the earth will pass away.

አሜሃ መቃብራት ይትከሠታ ወሙታን እለ በልዩ ዘዕምዓለም
ይትነሥኡ ከመቅጽበተ ዓይን፡፡ ወያወፊ አብ ለወልዱ መንግስተ
ወምኵናነ አሜሃ ያስተርኢ ኃለ መብረቅ ሐዲስ ወቃለ ነጎድጓድ
ግም እምቀዳሚ ዘኢሰምዐ እዝን ወዘኢርእየ ዓይን፡፡
ያን ጊዜ መቃብራት ይከፈታሉ አለም ከተፈጠረ ጀምሮ የፈረሱ
ሙታን ፈጥነው እንደ ዓይን ቅጽበት ይነሳሉ፡፡ አብ መንግስቱንና
ፍርዱን ለልጁ ይሰጣል ያን ጊዜ አዲስ የመብረቅ ኃይል ይታያል፡፡
ግሩም የሚሆን የነጎድጓድም ቃል ይሰማል፡፡ ከመጀመሪያ
(ከጥንት) ጀምሮ ጆሮ ያልሰማው ዓይንም ያላየው፡፡
At that time the graves will be opened and the dead that waxed
old from the beginning of the world will rise in the twinkling of
an eye. The Father will grant to His Son the kingdom and the
judgement, then there will be revealed the power of a new
lightning and a fearful sound of thunder which ear has not heard
and eye has not seen from the beginning.

ወይቀውሙ ቅድሜሁ ግሩማን መላእክት እለ አክናፈ እሳት እለ አልቦሙ ስም
ወኢይብልዎሙ ዕገሌ ወዕገሌ ወእለ ነበሩ ውስተ መንጦላዕቱ ለአብ መላዕክተ
ገጽ እሙንቱ፡፡ ወዘእሉ ክንፍ ይትጓዳዕ ምስለ ክንፍ ይደምዑ ወያንጎድጕዱ
ወይመልኁ ሰይፎሙ ወያንበለብሉ ከመ ያርእዩ ጽንዖሙ፡፡
የእሳት ክንፎች ያሏቸው ግሩማን መላዕክት በፊቱ ይቆማሉ ስም የሌላቸው
እገሌና እገሌ የማይሏቸው በአብ መጋረጃ ውስጥ የሚኖሩ ባለሟሎች
መላእክት ናቸው፡፡ የሊህም ክንፍ ከክንፍ ጋራ ይሳበቃል ይሰማሉ
ያንጎደጉዳሉ ሰይፋቸውንም ይመዛሉ ጽናታቸውንም ያሳዩ ዘንድ ይበራሉ፡፡
There will stand before Him the fearful angels with the
wings of fire who have no names, and whom they do not
call such and such a one, and who lived within the veil of
the Father, and they are the messengers of His face. Their
wings will strike one against another,’ they will sound,
thunder and draw out their swords and let them glitter to
show their strength.

አሜሃ ትትከሰት ባሕረ እሳት እስከ ማዕምቅቲሃ ወግበ አስሐትያ ዘመትሕቴሃ ወፈለገ እሳት
ይውኀዝ ከመ ይርአይ ኵሉ ዘጽኑሕ ሎቱ፡፡
አሜሃ መጻሕፍት ይትከሠታ ወምግባራት ይሰጣሕ ወልሳን ያረምም ወአፍ ብቅው ይብሕም
ወይቀውም ኵሉ ፍጥረት በፍርሃት ወበረዓድ ወበ ዓቢይ ጸጥ፡፡ ወኢተአክል ኵላ ምድር ዘዕንበለ
መጠነ ምክያደ እግር ወይጸዐቅ ከመ ጽፍቀተ ሮማን፡፡
ያን ጊዜ የእሳት ባሕር እስከ መሠረቷ ትገለጣለች፡፡ በበታቿ ያለ የውርጭ ጉድጓድም የእሳት
ወንዝም ይፈሳል፡፡ ሁሉ ትጠብቆለት ያለውን ያይ ዘንድ፡፡
ያን ጊዜ መጻሕፍት ይገለጣሉ ሥራም ይገለጣል አንደበትም ዝም ይላል የተከፈተ አፍም
ድዳ ይሆናል፡፡ ፍጥረቱም ሁሉ በመፍራት በመቀጥቀጥ በታላቅ ጸጥታም ይቆማል፡፡ ምድር
ሁላ ከእግር መሄጃ ልክ በቀር አትበቃም እንደ ጽፍቀተ ሮማን ይጨናነቃል፡፡
At that time the sea of fire will be opened to its very depth and the pit
of frost which is under it will be opened also; the river of fire will flood
that every one may see that which waits for him.
At that time the books will be opened, the works will be revealed, the
tongue will keep silent, the talkative mouth will be dumb, and all the
creatures will stand in fear and tremble and there will be a great
silence; and upon the whole earth there will not be a space as wide as
a foot’s span, and they will be thronged like the seeds in a pome-

አልቦ አሜሃ ሐፂር ወነዊኀ ጸሊም ወቀይሕ አላ ፩ዱ አካል ወ፩ዱ ኅብር፡፡
አልቦ አሜሃ ቤዛ ነፍስ ወኢተውላጠ ብእሲ በብእሲቱ አብ በወልዱ ወእም በወለታ አላ
፩ ዱ ፩ ዱ ይነሥእ ፍዳ ምግባሩ፡፡
ኢየኀፍሮ ለባዕል እንበይነ ብዕሉ አላ በከመ ተሐሰበ ሎቱ ወኢይምሕሮ ለነዳይ እንበይነ
ንዴቱ ለእመ ኢኮነ መሥመሬ ሎቱ፡፡
ያን ጊዜ አጭርና ረጅም ቀይና ጥቁር የለም አንድ አካል አንድ መልክ ነው እንጂ፡
ያን ጊዜ የነፍስ ቤዛ የለም ወንድ በሚስቱ መለወጥም ቢሆን አባት በልጁ እናትም
በልጅዋ አንዱም አንዱ የሥራውን ፍዳ ይቀበላል እንጂ፡፡
ባለጸጋውም ስለባለጸግነቱ አያፍረውም፡፡ እንደ ተገመገመለት ነው እንጂ ለድኃውም
ስለ ድኅነቱ አይራራለትም እርሱን ደስ ካላሰኘው፡፡
At that time there will neither be short nor tall, neither black nor red,
but one body and one appearance.
At that time there will not be a ransom of the soul, neither will man
be judged for his wife, nor the father for his son, nor the mother for
her daughter, but everyone will take the recompense of his work.
He will not be afraid of the rich because of his wealth but as it was
accounted to him; he will not pity the poor because of his poverty
unless he is pleased with him.

አሜሃ ጻድቃን ይትፌሥሑ እስመ ለሐዉ በሕይወቶሙ ወኃጥኣን ይበክዩ እስመ አፍቀሩ
ሠሐቀ ወሥላቀ እስመ በጽሐቶሙ ዕለተ ፍዳ ወደይን፡፡
አሜሃ ብዑላን ይነድዩ እስመ ሠለጡ ትፍግዕቶሙ በዐመሃ ወነዳያን ይብዕሉ እስመ
ተወክፉ ንዴቶሙ በአኰቴት፡፡
ርኁባን ይጸግቡ እስመ ተጸነሱ በሕይወቶሙ፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ፃድቃን ደስ ይላቸዋል በሕይወታቸው አልቅሰዋልና፡፡ ኃጥኣንም ያለቅሳሉ
ሣቅንና ሥላቅን ስለ ወደዱ የፍርድና የፍዳ ቀን ደርሳባቸዋለችና፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ባለጸጎች ይደኸያሉ ተድላ ደስታቸውን በዐመፅ ጨርሰዋልና ነዳያንም ባለ ጸጎች
ይሆናሉ ንዴታቸውን በምስጋና ተቀብለዋልና፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ተርበው የነበሩ ይጸግባሉ በሕይወታቸው ተቸግረው ነበሩና፡፡
At that time the righteous will rejoice because they mourned in their life,
the sinners will weep because they loved laughter and mirth and because
the day of recompense and condemnation will fall upon them.
At that time the rich will become poor because they completed their
pleasure unrighteously, and the poor will become rich because they
accepted their poverty with thankfulness.
At that time the hungry will be satisfied because they suffered in their

አሜሃ ነባብያን ያረምሙ እስመ ተናገሩ ከንቶ ወበከ ወዕጉሣን
ይነብቡ እስመ ኢኀደግዎ ለልሳኖሙ ይሩጽ ውስተ ሐሜት
ወኢያኀዘኑ ቢጾሙ ፍጹመ፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ተናጋሪዎች የነበሩ ዝም ይላሉ ከንቱንና ብላሽን ነገር
ተናግረዋልና፡፡ ትዕግስተኞች የነበሩ ይናገራሉ፡፡ አንደበታቸውን
ወደ ሐሜት ይሮጥ ዘንድ አልተዉትምና ባልንጀራቸውንም ፈጽሞ
አላሳዘኑትምና፡፡
At that time the speakers will keep silent because
they spoke vain and worthless (words). But the
patient will speak because they did not let their
tongue run to backbiting and did not sadden their
neighbour at all.

አሜሃ ጽኑዓን ይደክሙ እስመ አኀለቁ ሥጋሆሙ በዝሙት ወድኩማን ይጸንዑ እስመ
አስከሙ ኃይሎሙ በሰጊድ ወበትጋህ መዓልተ ወሌሊተ፡፡
አሜሃ ኃያላን ይፀብሱ እስመ ሰፍሑ እደዊሆሙ ውስተ ትዕግልት ወአብከዩ እቤረ
ወዕጓለ ማውታ፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ጽኑአን የነበሩ ይደክማሉ ሥጋቸውን በዝሙት አድክመዋልና
ደክመው የነበሩት ይጸናሉ ኃይላቸውን በሰጊድ በመዓልትና በሌሊትም
በመትጋት አድክመዋልና፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ኃያላን ልምሾ ይሆናሉ እጃቸውን ለመቀማት ዘርግተዋልና፡፡
ባልቴትንና አባት እናት የሞቱበትን አስለቅሰዋልና፡፡
At that time the strong will become weak because they
destroyed their bodies in fornication, and the weak will
become strong because they weakened their strength
in prostration and watchfulness day and night.
At that time the hands of the powerful will become
withered because they stretched their hands to steal
and caused the widow and the orphan to weep.
44
አሜሃ ምኑናን ይሠርሩ ከመ አንሥርት ወይሠርዕ ክነፊሆሙ ወይትሐደስ ውርዙቶሙ፡፡
ዕቡያን ወዝኁራን ይትቀፈጹ ወይትከሰት ኀፍረቶሙ፡፡
አሜሃ ዕሩቃን ይለብሱ እስመ አርሐሶሙ ነፍኒፈ ዝናም ወጠል ወአመንደቦሙ ቊር ወአስሐትያ
ወአውዐዮሙ ሐሩረ ፀሓይ፡፡

ያን ጊዜ የተናቁት እንደ አንሥርት ይበራሉ ክንፋቸውም ይወጣል

ጕልማስነታቸውም ይወጣል፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ትቢተኞችና ኵሮች ይገለጻሉ፡፡ ኀፍረታቸውም ይገለጻል፡፡
ያን ጊዜ የታረዙት ይለብሳሉ የዝናምና የጠል ካፊያ አርሷቸዋልና ብርድና
ውርጭ አስቸግሯቸዋልና የፀሓይ ሐሩርም አቃጥሏቸው ነበርና፡፡
At that time the rejected will fly like eagles, their wings will bur-
geon and their strength will be renewed.
At that time the haughty and the proud will be uncovered and their
nakedness will be revealed.
At that time the naked will be clothed because the showers of rain
and the dew wet them and they suffered from cold and frost, and
the heat of the sun burnt them.

አልቦ አሜሃ ኵናት ወወልታ ቀስት ወሐፅ እስመ ኵሉ ዘበምድር ተስዕረ፡፡
አሜሃ ይፈትሕ ንጉስ በኵነኔ ርትዕ ዘአልቦ አድልዎ፡፡
አሜሃ ይትፈለጡ ኃጥኣን እማዕከለ ጻድቃን ወይትሌለዩ ርኵሳን እማዕከለ
ንጹሓን፡፡

ያን ጊዜ ጦርና ጋሻ ቀስትና ፍላፃ የለም በምድር የነበረ ሁሉ ተሽሯልና፡፡

ያን ጊዜ ንጉስ አድልዎ በሌለበት በቅን ፍርድ ይፈርዳል፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ኃጥኣን ከጻድቃን መካከል ይለያሉ ርኵሳንም ከንጹሓን መካከል
ይለያሉ፡
At that time there will be neither spear nor shield, neither bow
nor arrow, because everything on earth will pass away.
At that time the King will judge a right judgement which has no
respect of persons.
At that time the sinners will be separated from the righteous,
and the unclean from the clean.

ምንትኬ ዘአሜሃ ዐውያት ወዘአሜሃ አንብዕ እስከ ለሊሁ ፈጣሪ ያነብዕ በዕንተ ፍጥረቱ
እንተ ለሐኬት እዴሁ ሶበ ይሬእዮሙ እንዘ የሐውሩ ውስተ ፍኖተ ኀጕል፡፡
አሜሃ ኃጥኣን ይበክዩ በእንተ ርእሶሙ ወጻድቃን ይበክዩ በእንተ ዘመዶሙ፡፡
ወመላእክተ ሰማይ የኀዝኑ በእንተ ፍጥረተ ሰብእ፡፡
የዚያን ጊዜ ዐውያት የዚያን ጊዜ ጩኸት የዚያንም ጊዜ ለቅሶ ምን ያህላል እርሱ ቅሉ
ፈጣሪ ወደ ጥፋት መንገድ ሲሄድ ባያቸው ጊዜ እጁ ስለ ፈጠራቸው ፍጥረቶቹ
እስኪያለቅስ ድረስ፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ኃጥኣን ስለ ራሳቸው ያለቅሳሉ ጻድቃንም ስለዘመዶቻቸው ያለቅሳሉ የሰማይ
መላዕክትም ስለ ፍጥረት ያዝናሉ፡፡
How great will be the shout of that time, how great will be the
cry of that time, and how much will be the tears of that time
when the Creator will weep for His creatures formed with His
hand, when He will see them going in the way of destruction.
At that time the sinners will weep for themselves, the righteous
will weep for their relatives and the angels of heaven will be sad
for the creation of man.

ወሶበ ተፈጸመ ኵኩሉ አሜሃ ለእሊኣሁ ለኅሩያኒሁ ወለጻድቃኒሁ ደብተራ ብርሃን
ይተከል ወመንጦላዕተ እሳት ይሰፋሕ ዘቦ ፯ቱ ምሥዋር፡፡
ወህየ ይበውእ ሊቀ ካህናት ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ውስተ ምሥጢር ለሥርዓተ ግብር
ወያቀውሞሙ ለካህናት በየማኑ ወለዲያቆናት በጸጋሙ ከመ ያርእዮሙ ሥርዓተ
ምሥጢር፡፡
ሁሉ ከተፈጸመ በኋላ ያን ጊዜ ለመረጣቸው ለወዳጆቹ ለጻድቃኖቹ የብርሃን ድንኳን
ይተከላል ሰባት መሠወሪያ ያለው የእሳት መጋረጃ ይዘረጋል፡፡
የካህናት አለቃ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ከዚያ ወደዚህ ምሥጢር ይገባል፡፡ ለግብር ሥራት
ቀሳውስትን በቀኙ ዲያቆናትንም በግራው ያቆማቸዋል የምሥጢርን ሥራት ያሳያቸው
ዘንድ፡፡
At that time when all is fulfilled there will be pitched a tent
of light for His elect and His righteous and there will be
stretched a curtain of fire of seven divisions for them.
There will enter the High Priest Jesus Christ into the mystery
and He will have the priests stand at His right hand and the
deacons at His left hand to show them the order of the

ምንተ ይመስል ወምንት ስሙ ወምንተ ይትበሀል ዘአሜሃ ምሥጢር ወይትከሀል
ይእዜ ይንግርዎ ወኢሀሎ ውስተ ልበ ዕጓለ እመሕያው፡፡
ኦ ካህናት ሥዩማን ክብር ለክሙ ሶበ ትትከሀኑ ምስለ እግዚአ ሰማያት ወምድር፡፡

ምን ይመስላል ስሙስ ምንድን ነው የዚያን ጊዜውን ምሥጢር ምን

ይባላል፡፡ ዛሬ ሊናገሩት አይቻልም፡፡ በሰው ልቦናም የለም፡፡
የተሸማችሁ ካህናት ሆይ ከሰማይና ከምድር ጌታ ጋር ካገለገላችሁ ለእናንተ
ክብር ይገባችኋል፡፡
What will the mystery of that time look like, what will be its name
and what will be said of it? Today, it is impossible for them to speak
about it, and to conceive: it is not in the heart of mortal man.
O ordained priests, honour is yours as you minister with the
Lord of heaven and earth.

ኦ ዲያቆናት ኅሩያን እለ ትመስሉ አስራበ ወርቅ ንጹሕ ሥፍሓ ለክሙ ሶበ ትሬእዩ
ምሥጢረ ዕፁበ፡፡
ኦ ቅዱሳን አበው እለ ትመስሉ አዕማደ ወርቅ ንጹሕ ዘቅውም ሲበ ዕብነ ሰንፔር
ብፅዓን ለክሙ፡፡
የንጹህ ወርቅ ሻሻቴ የምትመስሉ የተመረጣችሁ ዲያቆናት ሆይ ለእናንተ
ደስታ ይገባል፡፡ ድንቅ ምሥጢርን ባያችሁ ጊዜ፡፡
ሰንፔር በሚባል ዕንቊ ላይ የቆመ የንጹህ ወርቅ አዕማድን የምትመስሉ
ክቡራን አበው ሆይ መመስገን ይገባችኋል፡፡
O chosen deacons who resemble a pure spring of gold,
joy is yours when you behold the wonderful mystery.
O holy fathers who resemble the pure golden pillars
standing on the sapphire stones, you will qualify to be

ኦ ኵልክሙ መሃይማናን እለ ትመስሉ ከዋክብተ ብሩሃነ ዕበይ ለክሙ ሶበ
ትበውኡ ውስተ ይእቲ ከብካበ መርዓሁ ለክርስቶስ ዕበይ ለክሙ ሶበ ትሬእይዎ
ለእግዚእክሙ ይቀንት ወያንሶሱ ምስሌክሙ ወይሜጥወክሙ ዘዚኣሁ ሀብታተ፡፡

ብሩሃን ከዋክብትን የምትመስሉ ሁላችሁ ምዕመናን ሆይ ለእናንተ ክብር

ይገባል፡፡ ክርስቶስ አንድነትን ወደሚያደርግባት ወደዚያች ሠርግ
በምትገቡበት ጊዜ፡፡ ጌተችሁን ታጥቆ ከናንተ ጋራ እየተመላለሰ የእርሱን
ሀብት ሲሰጣችሁ ባያችሁት ጊዜ ለእናንተ ክብር ይገባል፡፡
O all believers, resembling the bright stars, greatness
will be yours as you enter into that wedding, the
marriage of Christ, greatness will be yours when you
see your God girded and walking with you and giving
you His gifts.

አሜሃ ሰአሉ ለነ አስተምሕሩ በእንቲኣነ ከመ ይምሐረነ ወይሣሃለነ
አኮ በሥንነ አላ በሥንክሙ አኮ በከመ ምግባሪነ ርኩስት አላ
በከመ ምሕረቱ ለአምላክነ፡፡
ያን ጊዜ ለኛ ለምኑልን ስለኛ አማልዱ ይምረን ይቅርም ይለን

At that time pray and intercede on our behalf, that He
may have compassion and mercy upon us: not
according to our merit but according to your merit, not
according to our evil deeds but according to the mercy
of our God.

ኃጢአትን ብትጠባበቅ ግን አቤቱ አቤቱ ባንተ ፊት ማን
ይቆማል። የብርሃን ሰንበት በሆነች ሥጋህና ደምህ በተሠራበት
በዚህች ቀን ዛሬ ስማቸውን የምናውቃቸውን በዚህ ባገልጋዩ
ቃል እንጠራለን። ስማቸውን የማናውቃቸውን አንተ
በምሕረትህ አስባቸው። ስማቸውንም ነፃ በምታደርግ
በኢየሩሳሌም በሕይወት መጽሐፍ ጻፍ።
If Thou, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall
stand before Thee. Today on this day the Sabbath of
light, in which Thy body and blood are prepared, we
remember those whose names we know through the
word of this deacon, and remember Thou through Thy
mercy those whose names we do not know. Write their
names in the book of life in free Jerusalem.

ወነአኵቶ ይደልወነ ከመ ንሳተፍ ምሥጢረ
ክብርተ ወቅድስተ።
ክብርት ቅድስት የምትሆን ምሥጢርን እንሳተፍ
ዘንድ ስላበቃን ልናመሰግነው ይገባናል።
And let us give thanks unto Him that
maketh us meet to communicate in
the precious and holy mystery.

ስብሐተ እግዚአብሔር ይነግር አፉየ ወኵሉ
ዘሥጋ ይባርክ ለስሙ ቅዱስ፣ ለዓለም

የሥጋም ፍጥረት ሁሉ ቅዱስ ስሙን

My mouth shall speak the praise of the
Lord, and let all flesh bless His Holy name
for ever and ever.

ካህን /Priest ኀዳፌ ነፍስ /Pilot of the Soul
ዳዊት በመዝሙር እንደተናገረ አቤቱ በጥላህ ማን
ያድራል። በመቅደስህስ ተራራነት ማን ያርፋል።
መንፈስ ቅዱስ መለሰ እንዲህም አለ። በንጽሕና
የሚኖር ጽድቅንም የሚሠራ ነው።በልቡናው
እውነትን የሚናገር፤
As David said in the Psalms Lord, who shall abide
in Thy tabernacle? who shall dwell on the hill of
Thy sanctuary? Then the Holy Spirit answered
and said: He that walks uprightly, and works
righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.

በአንደበቱ ያልሸነገለ በባልንጀራው ላይ ክፉ
ያላደረገ፤ ዘመዶቹን ያላሰደበ። ክፉ ነገር በፊቱ
የተናቀ፤ እግዚአብሔርን የሚፈሩትን ሰዎች
የሚያከብራቸው ባልንጀራውን ምሎ የማይከዳ፤
He that does not gossip with his tongue nor
does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a
reproach against his neighbor. In whose
eyes a vile person is disregarded; but he
honors them that fear the Lord. He that
promises his neighbor and does not lie.

ወርቁን በአራጣ ያላበደረ በንጹሑ ሰው ላይ
ማማለጃን ያልተቀበለ፤ እንዲህ የሚያደርግ
ለዘላለሙ አይታወክም።
ዳግመኛም ወደ እግዚአብሔር ተራራ ማን
ይወጣል በመቅደሱስ ቦታ ማን ይቆማል አለ።
He that puts not out his money to usury,
nor takes a bribe against the innocent. He
that does these things shall never be moved.
Again he said Who shall ascend into the
mount of the Lord? Or who shall stand in the
place of His sanctuary?

መንፈስ ቅዱስ መለሰ እንዲህም አለ፦
ልቡ ንጹሕ እጁም ንጹሕ የሆነ ነው፤ በሰውነቱ ላይ
ከንቱን ነገር ያልታቀበለ ለባልንጀራው በሽንገላ
ያልማለ፤ እርሱ ከእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ በረከትን
ይቀበላል። ሠሪዋ ተጠባቢዋ አምላካችን
እግዚአብሔር ወደሚሆን አገር ይገባል።
The Holy Spirit answered and said:
He that has a pure heart and clean hands; who
has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn
to his neighbor deceitfully. He shall receive the
blessing from the Lord, whose builder and
maker is the Lord our God.

ኑ ከፍ ከፍ እናድርጋት ኑ እናክብራት ኑ በዓል እናድርጋት፤
የበዓላትን መጀመሪያ ይህችውም ክብርት የምትሆን
የክርስትያን ሰንበት ናት። ትናንት በመግባቷ ደስ እንዳለን
በመውጣቷ ደስ ብሎን እንሸኛት፤ በርስዋ ሥጋችንን
በማሳረፍ እየተጋን።
Come, let us exalt; come, let us praise; come,
let us honor; come, let us celebrate the chief
of the holy days which is the holy Sabbath of
the Christians. As we rejoiced yesterday at its
entrance so also let us bid it fare well rejoicing
still as it departs, observing it for our body’s
rest.

ዕረፍታችንን ግን በደዌ እንደታመመ ሰው በመተኛት
አይደለም፤ ቀንና ሌሊት በመትጋት ነው እንጅ፤ የዚህች
ዕለት ወዳጆችዋ እንሆን ዘንድ። ዳግመኛም እንደ
እንስሳት ለሆን፤ ከእንስሳትም ለከፋን ለእኛ
ወደአምላካችን ወደ እግዚአብሔር ለምኝልን ስለኛ
አማልጂ እንበል።
And our rest is not to sleep like a suffering one
in his disease, but to watch day and night that
we may cherish this day. Again let us say, Pray
for us and intercede towards the Lord our God
for us who have become like animals and even
have done evil more than them.
