1.1 INTRODUCTION

A Yamaha showroom serves as a dedicated retail space showcasing the diverse range
of Yamaha products, including motorcycles, scooters, marine engines, and musical
instruments. These showrooms are designed to offer customers a comprehensive
experience, providing detailed product information, test rides, and personalized service.
They embody Yamaha's commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring that
customers can explore and purchase the latest offerings while receiving exceptional
support. With a focus on customer satisfaction, Yamaha showrooms aim to create a
welcoming and informative environment, reflecting the brand's reputation for
excellence and reliability.

The company was established in the year 1955 upon separation from Nippon Gakki
Co., Ltd. (currently Yamaha Corporation) and is headquartered in Iwata, Shizuoka,
Japan. The company conducts development, production and marketing operations
through 109 consolidated subsidiaries as of 2012.

OBJETIVES OF THE STUDY


1. To evaluate the overall customer experience at the Yamaha showroom.
2. To assess the effectiveness of the showroom's sales strategies and techniques.
3. To examine the knowledge and training levels of sales and service staff.
4. To investigate the availability and variety of Yamaha products and accessories.
5. To analyze the showroom's inventory management and control systems.
6. To evaluate the effectiveness of the showroom's marketing and promotional activities.
7. To assess the level of customer satisfaction with the showroom's services.

8. To identify areas for improvement in the showroom's operations and services.
9. To provide recommendations for enhancing the overall performance of the showroom.

1.2 SCOPE OF THE STUDY

The study conducted for the purpose of gaining knowledge about the company and
structure.The scope of the study is restricted to the Yamaha showroom (sri Vijaya Motors)
Shivamogga.For the period of the 4 weeks from 10th April 2024 to 10th May 2024. The
collection data and information were analysed and complied at arrive at conclusion and
suggestion given. The study involves various regarding functional department of the
company.

1.4 Research Methodology


Methodology includes collection and observation of primary and secondary data. Both
primary and secondary data are used for the completion of company study.
1.4.1 Primary Data
Primary data was very crucial to collect so as to know various past and present customer views
about bikes and to calculate the market share of this brand in regards to other brands.fresh primary
data was collected by taking direct feedback from customer which involved face to face interview
with the customer as well as through telephonic interview with the customer, the customer who
visited the dealership showroom for services of their bikes were questioned in order to find out
customer satisfaction level.

1.4.2 Secondary Data


The secondary data has been collected from internet, company profile, and company
websites etc.

1.5 Limitation Of The Study

The study is restricted only to the organized sector of two wheeler industry. The sample
size is small due to the specified reasons. Findings are based on the sample survey.The
seriousness of the respondents and their ability to justify their answers may also be a
limitations. All interview questions are undisguised or direct.hence there is a scope for the
respondents to be biased or pretentious.
