1) Bargaining power of buyers:

The consultancy firms heavily rely on bargaining power of consumers. The

bargaining power of large group of investors is greater because the consultancy or
wealth management companies cannot afford to suffer mass defections of their
clients. Also high net worth investors have greater bargaining power since the loss
of sizable accounts or clients and sources of revenue can more substantially affect
the bank’s profitability.

12
2) Bargaining power of suppliers:

Here, suppliers in case with the wealth management companies are generally banks
or depositors while second suppliers can be considered as its employees. The threat
from the individual’s suppliers is minimal, just the way it is with the bargaining
power of consumers.

3) Threats of substitutes:

The threat of various substitute products has increased in the financial

consultancy industry, as companies outside the industry have begun to offer
specialized financial services that were traditionally before only available from
banks.

4) The threads of new entrants:

Relatively the threat of new entrant s from within the financial industry is small.
It isn’t easy for wealth management to enter the market and try to compete on same
board as such leading consultancy firms.

5) Competitive rivalry:

Generally, the company now a day not only faces intense competition from the
other major players but there is lack of awareness in the minds of people about such
small consultancy firms prevails. The completion within the financial industry is
probably the most and strongest porter’s model.

13

28
Research Design:

Research design refers to the framework in which a researcher chooses the

techniques and methods for analyzing market data. Research design chosen by
researcher allow them to utilize methods that are appropriate for the study, and also
enable them to set up future studies successfully.

There are three types of research designs like Qualitative, Quantitative, and Mixed.
It is possible to conduct these research design in a variety of ways. For example,
researchers can conduct experimental studies, surveys, correlational studies, and
exploratory studies.

 I have used Exploratory Research method for my research on Investors

Perception Towards Investment:

Exploratory studies are based in the theories and their explanation and exploratory
studies do not provide any conclusion for the research topic. The structure is not
proper and the methods offers a flexible and investigative approach for the study.
The findings will be topic related that helps in improving the research more.

29
Sources of Data/Information:

Data collection methods can be categorized into two ways:

(1) Primary methods of data collection

(2) Secondary methods of data collection;

(1) Primary Data: Primary data helps you to get the latest information about
the topic or subject on which you are conducting research. Most of the
researchers try to get the data that are primary and get to know the
information going on related to the subject. So I decide to collect the
primary data for my research. I made questionnaire for collecting the data.

(2) Secondary Data: Secondary data are which data that has previously been
gathered and can be accessed by researcher. The secondary data is used to
increase the sampling size of research studies and also chosen for the
efficiency and speed that comes with using an already collected existing
resources. As a sauces of secondary data I took the data from server
website, read some articles, and read quota which help me to find the
current data about investment.

So, in this project, I have done research on the preference of the people and asked
them some questions related to investment. In this research, I have taken Primary
Data for my research. I made the whole questionnaire asking people about
investment.

30
Sample & Sampling Methods:

To estimate the characteristics of the whole population, a subset of individuals is

selected from the population. Sample size is a count of individual sample or
observation in public opinion survey.

 In this project I am using the convenience sampling method for the,

Convenience sampling is the most common types of non-probability sampling,

which forces on gaining information from participant who is reconvening the
researcher to accesses.

Sample Size:

This is the sub population to be studied in order to make an inferences population.

Simply, a sample size is a part of the population under study. In many situation, it
might not be possible to study an entire population. Sample size determines the
essential components of every research. Mostly, the sample size is deciding based
on size of population.

Sample Size 100

Time August
Sample area Regional

31
Details of the tools:

Various tools are used to analysis data like computer and software, Questionnaires,
case studies, observation and surveys are used.

 I have used Questionnaire as data collection tool for this research work.

Questionnaire is the process of collecting data through an instrument consisting of a

series of questions and prompts to receive a response from individuals it is
administered to. In a questionnaire, there are three kinds of questions generally used,
which are: fixed alternative, scale and open ended. With each of the questions

 I studied about portfolio management a bit before but do not have any idea
regarding finance and wealth management at such deep level. But after the
training in this wealth management company, I improved my knowledge
regarding investment, their pros and cons, their requirement and many more.

 Also gain knowledge about various sectors which can be beneficial to the
investors in this highly volatile market.

about taxation, HR terms and marketing. This helps me to enhance my
knowledge.

 Also I improved my communication as we had to communicate frequently

with our respected reporting managers.

 Being a student, I had basic idea about tax exemption under various sections
but during the training period of taxation, I enhanced my knowledge about
this at certain best level which can be beneficial to me in future as well.

 But there are also many other factor which can influence the choice or decide
making of the investors.

 Also, the interpretation shows, most of the respondents are student who not
have income. Therefore, they are depending upon investors who have less or
limited knowledge about the investment and various investment sectors.

difficulties while investing their money.

52
(14) Suggestions

The responses to the study and data interpretation of data lead to some
suggestion:

 A wealth management company of consultancy firm in the field of investment

consultancy needs a focus on choice and ability of investors or client to guide
them towards suitable alternatives.

 It is important to know the interest and income level of the clients or investors
as it could be the most guiding aspect of any investors to the investment.

 It was found from this survey is that investors involved in the research when
average low in overall investor knowledge. There inventors should be aware
of the mechanism of the market and their behavior.

 If talking about “The Leading Solution” they should give some more focus on
marketing as so many people are there who are still unaware about such
wealth management companies.

 The interpretation clearly drawn out a suggestion that company of consultant

should focus in the factors which affects the most to the investors investment
decision which helps them to guide their client inventors to the best avenues
possible.

 Any original information or data from a company or growth of the economy

of the countries must be provided quickly to equity investors.

53

males. That’s why it affects the risky decision making behavior negatively and risky
decision.

The most important factors that influences individual investment decision were:
economic factors legal aspect of the company, legacy of the company and also new
products of the company.
