What To Expect

As a Senior Communications Officer you will be at the heart of the newly formed Industrial
Operations Communications team that will partner with IO at a strategic level, aligned to the
executive Board and first line director objectives. The chapter is responsible for the creation and
industrialisation of our exceptional products – bringing together the procurement, supply chain and
manufacturing teams.

JLR is a business undergoing fundamental change through the exciting Reimagine strategy. Set
against a canvas of true sustainability, you will help JLR become proud creators of the world’s most
desirable luxury vehicles and services for the most discerning of customers – a strategy that is
designed to create a new benchmark in environmental, societal and community impact for a luxury
business.

You will be responsible for delivery of targeted and strategic communications to IO’s key audiences,
including employees within the chapter and JLR external suppliers.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

● Supporting defined IO leadership members in developing communications and employee


engagement in their departments
● Sourcing and delivering engaging stories, relevant news, wins, successes, people stories and
promoting key achievements/milestones aligned to the company’s Reimagine strategy
● Working on the supplier communications news desk and leading on strategic events to our
supply base; building relevant and appropriate content and key messages
● Working closely with other JLR functions and comms leads, especially those in our
manufacturing plants, to help deliver communication objectives and outcomes
● Preparing reports, presentations and management information for the leadership team,
using data and metrics to provide feedback/improvement recommendations on engagement
good practice

What You’ll Need

● Experienced in internal communications, delivering to complex, diverse internal and external


audiences
● Have the ability to identify interesting stories from across the business and communicate
them in an easy-to-digest way
● Have experience of the production and management of content and events, including photo
shoots, film shoots, briefs and storyboards
● Be skilled in change management communications
● Commercially astute with the ability to organise and manage multiple priorities in an ever-
changing landscape
