TASK 2
Nhiều bạn có suy nghĩ mình phải dùng thật nhiều cấu trúc cao cấp trong writing task 2 thì
giám khảo mới “sợ” :-) Tuy nhiên sự thật thì có nhiều cấu trúc khá quen thuộc mà nếu bạn
sử dụng tốt kết hợp với idea logic thì đã có thể ăn điểm khoảng 7.5 rồi. (Bài này nên được
học sau khi các bạn đã nắm chắc phần Sentence Structure và Clause Types)
1. - S+ V+O, so S+V+O.
- S+V+O because S+V+O.
E.x: - The cost of education has been rising, so many students are facing financial problems.
-Many students are facing financial problems because the cost of education has been rising.
2. When S+V+O, S+V+O.
Teenagers may squander their time playing video games when they have free time.
3. While S+V+O, S+V+O.
While it is a common belief that reducing the crime rate is a difficult mission, I hold the view
that there are certain solutions to prevent crime from society.
4. Compared to those who +V+O, S+V+O.
E.x: Compared to those who have a great deal of experience, novices may find it more
difficult to seek jobs in the city.
5. If S+V+O, S+ may/might/could+V+O. (dùng 3 từ này để giảm mức độ chắc chắn của
hành động)
In Vietnam, if motorbikes are restricted, people might opt for means of transport such as
buses and cars.
7. Câu bị động (Thường là thời Hiện tại đơn hoặc Modal verbs)
E.x: - This problem can be tackled by some feasible solutions.

8. S+ be+ likely+ to V+O.
E.x: Many individuals are likely to pursue their careers to make ends meet.
9. S+ tend(s/ed)+ to V+O.
Young couples tend to have babies after having accumulated enough money and experience
to nurture their offspring well.
10. S+V+O, which +V(chia số ít)+O. (Mệnh đề quan hệ nối tiếp)
E.x: The government should sentence criminals to life imprisonment, which makes good
citizens feel safer.
11. S+V+O. This +V(chia số ít)+O. ( meaning giống cấu trúc 10)

12. It+tobe+ adj+(for sb)+ to V+O.
E.x: It is effective for learners to practise English on a daily basis.
13. V-ing+ O + V(chia số ít)+O. (V-ing+O đóng vai trò là Chủ ngữ)
E.x: Eating one apple a day helps individuals avoid illness.
14. in a bid to V+O. (thay cho cấu trúc IN ORDER TO)
E.x: They have reduced the cost of borrowing in a bid to get the economy moving again.
15. (to) have a profound/detrimental effect on sth: có ảnh hưởng tốt/xấu đến cái gì
These chemicals have a detrimental effect/impact on the environment.
16. (to) Suffer from sth: chịu đựng đau đớn vì cái gì
Premature babies are more likely to suffer from breathing difficulties in childhood.
17. (to) make a crucial/significant/important contribution to sth: có đóng góp quan trọng đến cái gì
She has made a significant contribution to scientific knowledge.
18. (to) act as a catalyst: (cái gì/người nào đó) tạo ra một sự thay đổi lớn
