aram is a monumental three volume opus including 1441
Figures and 69 Tables on more than 2100 pages authored
by over 157 international specialists.
The book is available in printed and electronic format and
is mostly enjoyable to read or consult punctually for specific
questions or expert opinions, descriptions, explanations and
data. The table of contents, developed index and keywords
search make a fast access for high-quality information on
various topics.
From the beginning it is clear and well defined that this
book is written for surgeons. And it is authored by surgeons
with experience who face the reality of traumatology and
practice. This book is not written “in office” by theory pur-
ists, it is not one “Deus ex cathedra” infallible talk and it is
not dogmatic. All affirmations, demonstrations and explana-
tions are authored by physicians in practice, dealing every
day with human suffering from trauma, accidents, aging,
impaired and altered mobility. This book helps our peers
to make choices, take decisions and improve patients care.
Implantology and surgery for all regions of the body are
thoroughly described. Upper and lower limb, spine, pelvis
and paediatrics have separate sections. There is also a sec-
tion on bone grafts in primary applications including pol-
ytrauma and multiple fractures.
With a foreword from the famous and most respected
Prof. GS Kulkarni, academic Orthopaedic Surgeon from the
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (Nashik, India),
this three-volume book is designated by Springer Nature as
a “Major Reference Work”.
This book covers all the important orthopaedic implants
