Announcing Modification No. 17- Ethernet Isolation Board

IMPORTANT: When doing the procedures in this document, you must use safe work practices
and wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (for example, Safety Eyewear) according to
your Company's Standard Operating Procedures.

Purpose

This bulletin is to announce the availability of Modification No. 17, Ethernet Isolation Board.

The purpose of the Ethernet Isolation Board is to allow a Classic/Elite Scanner to directly connect
to a WAIV console PC. Doing this, along with some minor IP address changes will allow both
the scanner and the PC to communicate directly off of the customer network and use a single
network connection for non scanner related communications to the customer network.

This does not change our current product requirements which require two network drops, one for
the WAIV Console PC and one for the Classic/Elite Scanner. The intention is to use this in cases
where the customer network causes difficulty with communication between the PC and the
Scanner.

Modification Instructions, 8H9936 are on the Service Portal.

NOTE: SP2G7266 consists of the circuit board, as well as the hardware necessary to mount it to
the Diamond Frame. The Ethernet Cable completes the connection from the IEB to the outer
network. The board itself is passive, and requires no additional connections, other than an
ethernet connection to the IEB, and another ethernet connection to the outer socket.
