ABOUT THE TRUST

The memories of veteran freedom fighter, true Gandhian, Ex-parliamentarian, and Ex-minister of UP State, Late Shri Ram
Murti Ji were the inspiration for setting up the Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust in the year 1990.

The vision and mission of the Trust are to use all its resources for the upliftment of mankind, by service to humanity. With the
inspiration of the Late Shri Ram Murti Ji and with the untiring zeal and enthusiasm of Shri Dev Murti, Shri Ram Murti
SmarakCollege of Engg. and Tech. was established in 1996. The college today offers courses in Engineering, Pharmacy,
Management and Computer Applications.

SRMS CET is recognized as a benchmark institution in terms of defining standards of quality education. The Sprawling
scenic and serene campus stretching to over 30 acres, provides an ideal atmosphere for the pursuit of academic activities.
Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology is the only self-financing college in U.P to have received
"Soft Loan" under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) of World-Bank.

The SRMS Trust has also furthered a noble cause by establishing Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences,

Tyro comes into full swing for the organization of mega events – 'ZEST’, ‘AAMOD’ and ‘TECHVYOM’.
This is the platform where in young and creative minds get to exhibit their talent through various
competitions.
It’s time to extract the series of creativity from the best brain. So, here in we extend our invitation to be apart
of this grand event.

This Time we have come up with ‘ZEST’ as two day event keeping in mind the scenarios across the globe.

Parivartan: Ek Chakra

It can take audience on a journey through various phases of different " Era’s".Just take
example of Yuga according to Hindu Mythology.
Yuga in Hinduism is an epoch or era within a four-age cycle. A complete Yuga starts with the
Satya Yuga, via Treta Yuga and Dwapara Yuga into a Kali Yuga.
Every ‘Yuga’ can be depicted through song-dance-drama and narration of a main occurrence
of that time period.
The mythological stories of Hiranya Kashyap - Prahlad, Ram Vanvas, Mahabharata etc. can
be depicted beautifully through different sequences and they can be combined in to groups to
blend a beautiful evening full of melodious performances.
 RULES AND REGULATIONS OF ZEST-2022
 Travelling expenses of the participating teams will be payed by the team/participants itself.
 All the teams are required to confirm their arrival time and place, well in advance, so that they can be received
by the volunteers.
 Faculty members accompanying the team will not be charged any fee subject to a maximum of two.
 Boarding and lodging would be provided only to the registered members and accompanying faculty members.
 Participants are allowed to participate in any event but if any event collabs with the other events then the
participant have to choose according to their priority.
 In Renaissance, no cameras would be allowed. There will be an official photographer who can be contacted for
special snaps if needed.
 Decision of the judges would be final for all events.
 Any event can be deleted or added without any prior notice.
 Registration for any event will stop one hour before the event.
 No dress will be provided in Renaissance.
 Distribution Of Prize Will Depend On The Number Of Participants In Their Respective Event.
 All the participants are requested to bring their identity cards and the letter of approval from their college authority.
 In cases of shortage of time, the registration for any event will be done on first come first serve basis.
 The students from all participating colleges will be allowed to participate in the respective events only after one
hour of their registration.
 Any of the events such as dramatics, mimicry etc.. should not depict anything which may be derogatory or may
hurtthe sentiments of any region, community, institution or an individual. Any such depiction will result in
cancellation of the registration.
 The following props should not be used in any event meal cigarettes, real knives, guns, liquor, crackers or any other
indecent or dangerous material.
 Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited in the campus.
 REGISTRATION
Once your contingent decides to participate in ZEST 2022, send us the filled-up registration form
as a confirmation for registration till 15th November 2022. It is advisable to inform us about your
registration through telephone or Email.
Please try to provide us your arrival details through email at [email protected] to facilitate us in
receiving you at Bareilly Railway Station or Bus Stand.

REGISTRATION FEE
There is No Registration Fee for the event (fooding and lodging charges are applicable only for
participants taking fooding & lodging facility).
The charges are to be paid in cash at the registration desk at the time of your arrival at SRMSCET,
Bareilly.

Documents Required
 All the team members must bring their:
 Institute’s Identity Cards with University Roll No.
 Two passport-size photographs.
 Letter of authorization with stamp & signature of head of institution/NOC.
 Members whose names have not been mentioned in the authorization letter (to be issued by your
Director/Dean) shall not be allowed to participate in the events. Only ongoing semester students can
participate in the meet.
 Hospitality

There is Hospitality Cell to make sure that every moment you spend at SRMSCET is not only comfortable
but also memorable. As soon as you arrive at the station, team members of the Transport Cell will be
present at the railway station/Bus Stand to welcome you and escort you to the campus. Fooding & Lodging
will be provided to all participants. The boys and girls of your team would be accommodated separately in
a dormitory sort of arrangement. The faculty can also stay in campus in separate room. Beside the EPABX
phones of the college the members of TYRO team will be available for query/communication as below:

RULES FOR MEMBERS OF TYRO TEAM

 TYRO President, Vice-President, and TYRO Secretary cannot participate in any events of ZEST-2022.
 Treasurer and all Organizing Secretaries of TYRO cannot participate in a n y event in ZEST-2022.
 All Chairpersons can participate in a total of 2 events including 1 event of their respective club.
 Committee Coordinators and Head Co-ordinators can participate in any events of ZEST including 1 event of
their respective committee/club.
 TYRO Executives can participate in 3 solo events and cannot participate in any group events of ZEST.

RULES FOR MEMBERS OF JUDGEMENT COMMITTEE

 Volunteers of the Judgement committee can participate in 3 individual and 3 group events of ZEST.But
they can participate in a total of 5 events.
 Co-ordinators of the Judgement committee can participate in 3 events of ZEST. 
 JC members are not allowed to participate in events in which they are volunteering.
 DANCE CLUB

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
 Maximum time limit for solo and duet event will depend upon the number of external participants
and the time allotted to the event at the time of execution.
 Participants must bring their songs in a pen drive only. The malfunctioning of pen drive will not
be under committee's responsibility (they must have a backup of the songs).
 Number of participants will be decided based on time or on First come First Service Basis.
 In group dance/Duet dance teams can perform with boys & girls both, without touching the
opposite gender.
 No obscene Costumes & songs will be entertained (Costumes and songs must be reviewed by the faculty
members if possible).
 There will be only one round for Group, Duet & Solo Dance.
 Props in clothing are allowed (no liquids & sprays). Props that can cause any danger are strictly
prohibited (e.g. metal,sticks, rods, fire, etc.).
 Projectors are not allowed.
1. Solo Dance (Boys & Girls)
Rules: There will be two rounds in solo dance.
 Round one: -Solo Dance
Vulgar songs are strictly prohibited.
Time limit: 1 min 30 sec-3 min
Song selection as per participant's choice.
Fusion is allowed.
 Round Two: Prop Round.
 Song will be played on the spot. The song selection will be completely random.
 Props will also be given on the spot, and props are a must throughout the performance.
 Songs will be played for 2 min.
 Results will be decided from the total score of both rounds.
2. Duet Dance:

 Time limit: 2-4 min.

 Songs selection as per participant's choice. (Hindi, English, Album songs)
 Vulgar songs are strictly prohibited.
 Props that can cause any Harm are strictly prohibited (like metal rods, sharp and pointed objects, fire, water, etc).
 Fusion is allowed.
 Props are allowed
3. Foot Loose (Group Dance)
 Number of participants in a group should be between 7 to 25.
 Vulgar songs are strictly prohibited.
 There will be only one round.
 Time limit: 8 min to 11 min.
 All the groups must perform on the Theme “Prarambh” (at least 1 dance continuous sequence).
 Song(s) should be from Indian movies, beats, Album (only 2 songs), Punjabi (only 1 song). Although songs for
filler/punch lines can be of any origin.
 Mixing of songs is allowed.
Minimum 5 members should be on stage throughout the performance
Props in clothing are allowed.
Props that can cause any danger are strictly prohibited (like sharp and pointed objects etc).
The songs must be submitted to Zest Organizing Secretary by 15’th November 2022. If the songs are not submitted
then the team will be disqualified.
 Almost 3 blackouts are allowed.

4. Best Dancer (Boys & Girls)

 Participants have to perform on following 3 different styles of songs:

o Indian movie song
o Classical
 o Western
Participants should prepare one song of their own choice from the above-mentioned styles (vulgar songs are strictly
prohibited) and the remaining two styles will be played on the spot.
Firstly, the song prepared by participants will be played for 2 min. then other two songs will be played back to back
for 4 minutes (2 min each).
No use of props is allowed.

5. Face Off
 Each solo participant will participate in this event comprising dances of 3 different styles:
o Contemporary
o Indian
o Western
 Battle of two solo members will take place at a time.
 The dancers of a particular style will dance simultaneously to the same song.
 The 3 songs will be played on the spot continuously in the order given in rule no. 1.
 The songs will be played for 3 min. (1 min each)
 No props are allowed

 🎭 DRAMATICS CLUB 🎭
(Theme: Prarambh “Anth hi Aarambh”)
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: -
 Dramatics committee will only provide chairs, one table, Cordless mics, hanging mics, and collar
mics (depending upon availability).
 All other props must be brought by teams.
The committee will fulfill any other special requirement depending upon the availability and on pre-
notification by the participating team.
 Arena boundaries will be decided and defined by the chairperson (according to the place of the act)
before the events of each group.
 Drama can be bilingual.
 Team exceeding the time limit will be penalized (Negative marking will be there).
 Backstage voice of a participant will be considered as participation of that member in the team.
 All team drama events should be based on the theme. If not, some negative points will be awarded.
 Theme is not compulsory for movie spoofs.
 Touching is not allowed for the opposite gender except for blood relations.
 Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
 If there will be any dispute, then all the teams involved in the dispute will be disqualified.
1. Multiscene:
 Each team should have a minimum of 8 members and a maximum of 20 members.
 Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
 Maximum time is 20 minutes (curtain to curtain) and the minimum time is 12 minutes (excluding set-up time).
 Drama can be bilingual.
 There should be at least 3 scenes.
Background music is allowed.
 Props are allowed and the participants have to arrange them themselves.
2. Street Play:
 Each team of minimum 10 members and a maximum o f 20 members.
 Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
 Time limit is 8 minutes to 15 minutes.
 Props are allowed and participants have to arrange by themselves.
 No music support.
 For props only dupattas, hand-made posters, calling bells, drums, and steel plates are allowed.
 Uniformity in dress is required.
3. Mime:
 Each team of minimum 6 members and a maximum of 15 members.
 Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
 Time limit is 7 to 12 minutes.
 Touching is prohibited.
 The act should not contain any dialogue, lip sync, song, or props
 Only instrumental sound is allowed.
 Uniformity in dresses is compulsory.
 Face color variations are allowed.
 Negative points will be marked in case of Teeth of the participants is visible.
4. Mono act:
 Only one participant will be allowed.
 Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the participant from the event.
 Time limit is 5 minutes (thinking 2 minutes, performance-2 to3 minutes (not less than 2 minutes and notmore than
3 minutes)).
 Props are not allowed.
 Background sound/music is not allowed.
5. Movie Spoof:
 Time limit is 8 to 15 minutes (including setup time).
 Each team of minimum 8 members and a maximum of 15 members.
 Props are allowed and the participants have to arrange by themselves.
 Script should be based upon one or more movies, series, advertisements, news, channels, etc.
 Background sounds are allowed.

 This is a team event (3-4 members in a team)
 It’s a theme-based quiz (Theme Harry Potter & its 7 volunteers).
 Participated teams will be divided into four houses (By drawing the chits).
 Every house will consist of one team and will be decided on the basis of a level 1 Quiz (Intra house
competition)
 Selected 4 teams remunerating their houses will compete in level 2 & and level 3 quizzes from each
other(Inter house comp.).
 On the basis of the total score of level 2 & level 3 winners will be announced








 Participants must bring their own track and should submit it to the coordinator 30 min. before the
commencement of the event.
 Only one round for all music events except VOICE OF ZEST.
1. Solo Singing:
 Only Bollywood songs are allowed.
 Time limit: 3 to 5 minutes.
 Male-female constraints compulsory.
 No written material allowed during performance.
2. Theme Solo
 Any song can be selected from the following categories
o Sufi
o Ghazal
o Folk
o Classical
 Non-bollywood (album) songs are also allowed.
 Time limit:3 to 5 minutes
 Male female constraint is not compulsory
 No written material allowed during performance
3. Instrumental
 Songs/Tunes should not be pre-recorded.
 Time limit :3 to 5 minutes
 Instrument (Guitar, keyboard, flute, violin, harmonica, table harmonium) can be used.
 Performance can be solo/duet/group.
 Instruments can be played on back track as well.
 Any song of your choice is allowed.

First round
 The Indian solo, theme solo and western solo winners will get direct entry to the voice of zest.
 First round will be 'own choice round’ any Hindi song can be selected as per contestant's choice
 Time limit:2 to 5 minutes.
 No written material allowed during performance.
 Instrument is allowed.
 Use of obscene lyrics is prohibited.

 Participants have to bring their own background track and should submit it to the co-ordinator before the

Second round
 Second round will be "Judge's choice round"
 Judges will announce 2 songs from the Voice Of Zest songs list, any one of them has to be selected on the spot.
 The Voice Of Zest (VOZ) songs list will be displayed before Zest.
 No written material allowed during performance.
 Instrument is allowed.
 Use of obscene lyrics is prohibited.
 Mash ups are not allowed
6. Battle of Band
 Only 8 entries are allowed (On First Come, First Serve basis)
 20 minutes time will be allotted, including sound check,
 Only one round of performance will be conducted.
 Only a piece drum set, along with 2 crash and 1 ride cymbals will be provided by the organizing team.
Marks shall be deducted if the band exceeds the time limit.
 Judgment shall be done on the basis of: Song Selection, Instruments Sound Quality, Stage Presence
and Voice Quality
 Songs only in Hindi/English/Punjabi languages are allowed. Lyrics of the songs are required to be
submitted prior to the performance.
 The band must comprise of 4-8 members only.
 Decision of the judges will be final.
 Any in-disciplinary action will lead to disqualification.
 Valid College ID(s) of all participants are required for registration.
7. Rap Battle:
 Songs in any language are allowed.
 Participant should perform on his/her own lyrics, no copy is allowed and leads to disqualification.
 No vulgarity is allowed.

1. Short Play
 A team of two participants is allowed.
 There will be three rounds:
 Round 1: Main hoon kaun?
 (Hints will be given about a famous personality & participants will have to identify him/her.)
 Round 2: Question on movies (Pass round).
(Details of movies like story line, songs, dialogues, star cast etc.)
 Round 3: Punch line.

2. 90’s Guess The Song

 Participants have to guess by the tune played.
 Duration of 30 Sec will be Provided to the players to guess the respective Song.
 Winner will be the first one who guess the song faster
3. Treasure Hunt
 Team Event- 3 players each.
 Solve riddles to win the rounds.
 It will contain 2 rounds.

4. Situational Antakshari
A team of three candidates is allowed (atleast 1 girl & 1 boy).
 Three rounds comprising of specific hints:
 1st round: (fast track)-time limit: 2 minutes.
o Team has to sing a maximum no. of mukhdas, each starting with the ending letter of previous mukhdo
 2nd round: (word fitting round) -you have to fit a specified word in the mukhda of your song.
 3rd round: (confusing round) -identify original song by superimposed song.

5. Zest Got Talent:

 There will be two rounds for whistling.
 1st round-one song of participant's choice.

Theme: PARIVARTAN “Ek Chakra”
Renaissance happens to be one of the most glamorous events. Highlighting the theme
of the fest, it deals entirely with the magnificence of the person. It is a symbol of
aesthetic ability, creativity and depiction of a True form. Taking place in the beautiful
evening hours, it sure brings out the sensuality of the Human mind.
RULES:
 Only SRMS Trust Institutions can participate with one team only. No external participation is allowed.
 The maximum time for each group to be on stage will be 8 minutes and if the time exceeds the whole team will be disqualified and
the track will be muted.
 For girls no short dresses (above knees), no backless and no off-shoulder clothes are allowed.
 For boys no revealing chest and cut sleeves.
 Touching is not allowed.
 Props are allowed (excluding any sharp things, fire).
 Each participant will enter the stage only twice and gets two chance to go to the T-point (one individual & one with pair or team)
 Students should maintain decorum during the show.

 Team Event- 3 players each.
 Solve riddles to win the rounds.
 It will contain 2 rounds
3. The Einstein Brain
 Participant would be shown a image for few seconds .
 After the image will disappers, the participants will be asked few questions related to that image .
 Individual event .
 The number of images per round will be chosen accordingly .
4. Movie Maniac
 Individual event .
 The participant will dress up as any bollywood character and will mimic the character on the stage.
 Time limit- 3 -5 minutes
 Dress up is mandatory .
5. The "Know -It-All"
 It’s a group event, up to 2 members.
 It’s a Buzzer Round.

1. BGMI:
 In case of a tie, certain parameters such as finishes, kill rate, survival time, etc will consider.
 Only registered players can play in the tournament.
 Unfair practices are subject to disqualification.
 Limited registration is there.
 Participants can bring their accessories.

2. FIFA:
 Knock out basis (qualification).
 No two players can play with the same team, in the case of the same team, there will be a toss for
 selecting a team.
 Half length (for qualification 5-min). (For semi-final-8 min).
 Injuries (on), Booking (on), Handball (on).
 Classic XI and World XI are banned.
 In the case of two players willing to play with a keyboard, both players will be allowed to play with
controllers.
 There is no provision for a golden goal.
3. TEKKEN 3:
 Participants can play with a keyboard or a controller (game pad).
 The competition would be in the form of knock out basis.
 The matches would be played and the result would be decided on round basis.
 The matches would be best of 5 or 7 depending upon the stage of the match being played.

4. COUNTER STRIKE:
 Their Will Be a Toss To Decide The Map. Winner Will Foirst Get the Chance To Eliminate A Map,
Likewise Elimination Of Maps Will Take Place One By One And The Last Remaining Map Will Be
Played.
 Knock Out Basis (Qualification)
 No Configuration Is Allowed.
 Unfair Practice Subjects Leads to Disqualification.
 Particpants Can Bring Their Own Accessories.
 First Knife Round Will Be Played and Winning Team Will Decide Their I.E T Or Ct.
