8 TYPES OF NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION

1. FACIAL EXPRESSION are responsible for a huge proportion of non-verbal communication. Consider how much
information can be conveyed with a smile or a frown.

2. GESTURE- Deliberate movements and signals are an important way to communicate meaning without words.

3. PARALINGUISTICS-It refers to vocal communication that is separate from actual language.

4. BODY LANGUAGE- It is a type of non-verbal communication that relies on body movements (such as gestures, posture,
and facial expressions) to convey messages.

5. PROXEMICS- Deals with the amount of space that people feel it necessary to set between themselves and others.

6. EYE CONTACT- Keeping eye contact with the person you are talking to shows that you are actively listening and paying
attention.

7. HAPTICS- Communicating through touch.

8. APPEARANCE- Appearance conveys non-verbal impressions that affect the receiver attitude towards verbal message.
