1. Hardworking: One of the most essential characteristics of a
good entrepreneur is hard work. This means working diligently
and being consistent about it. Hardworking people keep
improving their performance to produce good products and
services.
2. Self-Confident: Entrepreneurs have self-reliance in their
abilities and judgment. They exhibit self-confidence to cope
with the risks of operating their own business. One must have
a strong faith in their abilities despite the problems they
encounter along the way.
3. Disciplined: Successful entrepreneurs always stick to the plan
and fight the temptation to do what is unimportant.
4. Committed: Good entrepreneurs assume full responsibility for
their businesses. They give full commitment and solid
dedication to making the business successful.
5. Ability to accept change: Nothing is permanent but change.
Change occurs frequently. When you own a business, you
should cope with and thrive on changes. Capitalize on positive
changes to make your business grow.
6. Creative: An entrepreneur should be creative and innovative
to stay in business, and to have the edge over the other
competitors.
7. Has the initiative: An entrepreneur takes the initiative. You
must put yourself in a position where you are responsible for
the failure or success of your business.
8. Profit-oriented: An entrepreneur enters the world of business
to generate profit or additional income. The business will
become your bread and butter. Therefore, you must see to it
that the business can generate income.
9. Future-Oriented: Once a person enters a business, you must
understand that you are in a non-stop contract that an
entrepreneur should understand. It may take several years to
build up a business to a reasonable standard. The goal for
most successful business people is to build a secure job and
stable income for themselves based on their abilities.
10. Goal-Oriented: An entrepreneur is forward-looking. You have
made advanced preparations for your business. You set a long-
term goal for the activities that are needed and extensive
preparations for the production process and procedures that
you need to go through to acquire human and non-human
resources. Everything in your business will have to be set
clearly, organized, and planned to depend on the goal you
want to achieve.
11. Persistent: Differences in opinion and judgment. Your
opponent can be a part of the rejection of what you intend to
do for your endeavor. As an entrepreneur, you must be firm,
strong-willed, and stick to or follow your own beliefs.
12. Copes with failure: "Learn from your mistakes". As an
entrepreneur, you must learn how to deal with frustrations
and failures; instead, turn these into productive learning
experiences.
