Scentsational mainly focuses on bath and body works (skincare). We are mainly passionate about
creating products that elevate the bathing experience, transforming it into a luxurious and
rejuvenating routine. Our bath salts are carefully crafted using a blend of natural minerals and
essential oils designed to soothe the body and relax the mind. They provide therapeutic benefits
such as muscle relaxation and stress relief while immersing the sense in captivating aromas.
Our bath bombs with their vibrant colours and enchanting fragrances add an element of fun and
excitement to any bath. They are meticulously formulated to effervesce and release nourishing
ingredients that nourish the skin and create a spa like treatment.
In addition to the bath salts and bath bombs, we offer a wide range of scented candles. Our candles
are made from high quality wax and infused with premium fragrances that fill the room with
delightful scents. They create a cosy and tranquil ambiance, perfect for relaxation, meditation or
simply enjoying a moment of serenity.
According to the PubMed Central, a study done in 2005 suggested that bathing in dead sea salt
solution improved skin barrier function and hydration and reduced inflammation which was due to
salts being rich in magnesium. Various other authors have reached similar conclusions in 2017 and

MARKET ANALYSIS
Our primary target market mainly consists of females between the ages of 16-40 years old as they
are much more invested into skincare and scented candles. However, males have not been factored
from buying the product. Research says that nearly 60% of men report they are not interested in
skincare. While women are more than 2 times as likely to have a skincare routine more than men
(62% vs 29%) and three times more likely to do one daily (32% vs 11%). My target market aims at
females mainly because females are more invested in their skin care hence companies like Oh So
Heavenly only cater to female products.
The bath and body care industry has experienced significant growth in recent years driven by
increasing consumer awareness of the importance of self-care. Despite the large competition we will
face from companies like Serene Scents, Elaine’s candles, Aura scents, Skincare Skin share that have
established themselves in the market, we plan on not only providing products made of unique
ingredients but offer customization options too. Our customization option offers personalised
products with customizable scents, colours or ingredients to cater to our customer’s needs. We plan
to create a high-end brand image with premium packaging, elegant marketing and exceptional
customer service. Furthermore, we plan to hold workshops, offering online tutorials on skincare,
wellness, DIY bath and body products to educate other people and this works in our favour as we get
to create a strong network link with potential customers.
MARKETING
In order to break into the market, Scentsational with use the following techniques:
1) Social media campaigns: Scentsational will establish a professional e-commerce website to
display our products, provide detailed descriptions and facilitate online sales. We will
leverage social media platforms that is Instagram, tiktok, Facebook marketplace, tisitano,
WhatsApp, Zimpoint, google ads and paid ads and any other platforms that may be created
in the future for business advertisements to engage with our target audience.
2) Influencer partnerships: we plan on empowering young individuals who may have a large
number of followers on social media platforms to be brand ambassadors for our company. In
that way they also get the exposure, they need and they also get to work on promoting our
products on social media to reach new audiences.
3) Craft fairs and markets: we plan on participating in local events to showcase our products
and connect with potential customers
4) Emil marketing: this will be done by building an email list and sending regular newsletter
with exclusive offers, new product releases and company news.
5) Strategic partnerships: this shall be done through collaborating with complementary
businesses such as SPAS to offer bundled services or joint promotions.
6) PR and media outreach: by reaching out to media outlets, bloggers to feature our products
and share the brand story, we could get more links to make the business gain more
customers.
COST PROJECTION
Considering that the business will start as a small business, the initial investment required for setting
up the production facility, acquiring equipment ($100 once off payment) and raw materials ($400).
1) Costs of buying raw materials
Raw materials include:
Candles (soy wax, essential oils, molds for candles, wicks, colouring, packaging)
Bath salts ( Epsom salts, Himalayan pink salt, bicarbonate of soda, carrier oil, essential oils,
botanicals, bath salt jars, colouring and packaging)
Bath bombs (colorants, Epsom salts, fragrance oils, coconut oil, molds, citric acid, sodium
bicarbonate, witch hazel, and packaging)
2) Packaging
Packaging is estimated at $100 will include plastic bags/gift bags branded with the business logo, jars
and moulding shapes for the candles, jars and zip lock sachets for the bath salts, jars for the bath
bombs.
3) Marketing
Marketing costs will incur for google ads, Instagram paid ads, and Facebook paid ads and sales
agents who would be paid on commission provided they sell products worth $20. Marketing are
estimated to be around $50/ month for the first few months for the paid ads and as we assess the
performance of the company, more money is expected to be spent on marketing as we will
incorporate
