words in the question.
Use the same structure every time: Introduction: three main paragraphs: conclusion.

article. You will need to learn this information for the exam.
Always plan your work before you begin

Writing checklist
I have evidence to Area for improvement
show I did this
I wrote a plan for both tasks.
I made sure that I used language which showed
that I clearly understood the audience and
purpose for each task e.g. Formal language for
a formal letter.
I followed the format of introduction: 3 or 4
paragraphs: conclusion.
I used topic sentences at the start of each
paragraph which linked to the task. (Check the
task again, is your answer focused?)
I used a variety of sentence types in both tasks.
I used a range of vocabulary, chosen for effect,
I used a variety of punctuation accurately
(question marks; exclamations; semi-colons etc)
All middle paragraphs were at least 3 sentences
/ 10 lines long.
Each paragraph focused mainly on one point.
I checked both pieces carefully for avoidable
errors. (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar).
