RESOLUTION NO. 03 Series of 2024

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SK ANNUAL BARANGAY YOUTH INVESTMENT


PROGRAM FOR CY 2024 OF BARANGAY BANGYAS, CALAUAN, LAGUNA IN THE
AMOUNT OF FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY-
NINE PESOS (Php 463,799.00)

WHEREAS, according to Republic Act No. 10742 provides Chapter 2 Section 8 Powers and Functions
of the Sangguniang Kabataan (b) stating “Approve annual budget which is the annual slice of the
Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program before the start of the succeeding fiscal year and,
if the Sangguniang Kabataan allows, a supplemental budget. Any changes in the annual budget
shall be in accordance with the existing applicable budget rules and procedure”;

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 20 (a) of the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015
(RA No. 10742), ten percent (10%) of the General Fund of the Barangay shall be set aside for the SK.
The Sangguniang Barangay shall appropriate the Sangguniang Kabataan funds in lump-sum, which
shall be disbursed solely for youth development and empowerment purposes;

WHEREAS, upon the certification of the Office of the Barangay Treasurer of BARANGAY BANGYAS,
CALAUAN, LAGUNA, the estimated income for SK funds amounts to FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-
THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY-NINE PESOS (PhP 463,799.00);

WHEREAS, AFTER DUE DELIBERATION on the matter and in motion of Hon. Kirby A. Afable
and was duly seconded by Hon. Jacob R. Canlas and with the unanimous approval of the body;

RESOLVED to approve the SK Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program For CY 2024 of Barangay
Bangyas, Calauan, Laguna in the amount of Four Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Seven Hundred
Ninety-Nine Pesos (Php 463,799.00)

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the copy be attached in this resolution and submit/furnish the offices concerned
for their records and appropriate action.
