Did you ever wanted to live in an utopia? Where everything you can imagine is
the way; you describe as ‘’the best’’. At least in the first utopia, that Thomas More have
written; everything is the way that More thinks the best way is. This book’s purpose is to
be a voice for people that literally suffered in Henry the 8th period. In this aspect we will
be understanding why he specifically wrote this book and what was the sub intentions
through this.
Utopia is a piece of work written by Thomas More. The vocabulary utopia is first
gained by More. His aim was mainly to criticize the bad situation in England with the
kingdom of Henry the eighth. Henry the eighth was not good at what he was doing.
Therefore, he didn’t care that much about the situation in England that concluded More
to write the utopia. Of course he wouldn’t need to write it in the first place, if he wasn't
faced with all those corruptions. Even though more has received magnificent education
in Oxford, that doesn’t mean all the things he described as utopia are not the description
of a beautiful future. And this is the part where we are going to be discussing in
historical context. More is being very religious Protestant also affects the lifestyles in
utopia. Religion shouldn’t be the way people build up their lives. If more weren’t a strong
Christian he wouldn’t have been written utopia in this way, and that’s the one important
point that we cannot ignore.
2
Because of Moore’s religion is believing in one God, and take its existence only
reality, in utopia, it says, but the vast majority of those by far the wiser ones, believe
nothing of the kind they believe, in a single divinity, unknown, ternal, infinite, inexplicable
beyond the grasp of the human mind, and if used throughout the universe, not
physically, but in influence. They call their parents and to him alone. They attribute
origin, increase progress changes, and ends of all things they do not offer, divine honors
to any other. First of all he is saying, why is there one who basically discriminates
against the others who would refuse one got any fee are talking about an utopia he is
far beyond understanding of mercy. But more doesn’t really care about that and more
continues gradually. ‘’They are all coming to forsake this mixture of superstations and
unit in that one religion, which seems more reasonable than any of the others, and there
is no doubt that the other religions would have disappeared long ago, had not whatever
only key accident that we felt anyone who was thinking of changing his religion be
interpreted out of fear as a sign of divine anger, not chance is a deity, who was being
abundant were avenging an insult against himself’’. If you take this part in hand, utopia
more clearly saying that the ones who have chosen one God to believe we’re always
the reasonable ones, and he put others not being clever enough to understand the
divine truth is believe in one god and he puts others out of thought that if they ever
decide to change their believes, they will definitely come to face with a catastrophe, and
their ends won’t be good as the other who believed and pursuit the divine Truth. In
Utopia more also asked that one day tell the name of the Christ they were interested in.
Here we see that more uses the propagation of the religion. After that, he adds ‘’But
3
after they heard from us the name of Christ and learned of his teachings, his life, his
miracles, and the no less marvelous constanancy of the many martyrs whose blood
freely shed, has drawn so many nations far and near into the religion. You would not
believe how eagerly they sent it to it either true the secret inspiration of God, or because
Christianity seemed very like the sect that most previous amongst them but I think they
were all so much influenced by the fact that Christ approved of his followers communal
way of life, and that among the truest groups of Christians to practice till prevails
whatever the reason no small number of them joined our religion and were washed in
the holy water of baptism.’’ In the 16th century the acts of religion weren’t ordered, and
even though the aristocrats showed them they were religious. It was only a presentation
and it was Wayne because in Christianity people should share and look out for the pool
ones, but the tutors weren’t interested what peasants were doing people were in poverty
and striving for meal to eat, while the Royals choosing which haunted animal to eat, or
which animal to hunt, while peoples only concern, was feeding themselves, Royals were
spending their spare times to hunt. As a counselor this situation was irritating More, but
he wasn’t able to change the situation completely so he did what he could do, at least,
and wrote a book about. It basically criticizing the moral situations in England, and trying
to turn them the way he thought, is the best by his way of understanding, religion policy,
and the way of living he didn’t want people to starve while Royals were living their best
life he deduced that the money was the main problem so his main purpose was the
finish in the use of the money. Therefore, he did in Utopia people don't need money
because there is no discrimination between work in class and the ones that they are
4
basically serving in utopia everyone’s. working it is their main job. Everyone is initiated
with agriculture, so they don’t use money to feed themselves because everyone has a
contribution to the society so no one faces out. Besides farm work, which, as I said,
everybody performs, each person is taught a particular trait of his own, such as wool
working line, making mesentery metal work or carpentry. No other craft is practiced by
any considerable numbers of them so they meet every need of themselves, but when
we looked at the situation in England, it is way more different pieces are working for
your life to get in a little money they earn, therefore won’t mean anything. So More
judges this another important aspect .
We should talk about slavery and utopia in today’s daily life. Even the word slavery
sounds so ridiculous and unfair and I am guessing More should have known about that,
even though he defends that by saying the only prisoners of war of the champions, keep
as slaves are those temperature in words can you find themselves the children of
sleeves are not born into slavery know our only slaves obtained from foreign countries.
They are either their own citizens and slate for some shit is offense or else foreigners to
hit been condemned to death in their own cities the letter search predominant
sometimes the champions buy them at a low price more often they ask for them for
nothing and bring them home in constable numbers and the list goes on all the talking
slavery system. Is it consume or should I know that slavery is definitely out of human
rights and should definitely be abolished, especially in a place where he calls utopia and
says that everyone is happy those slaves as they are happy, even just living in the
5
country land, but it is impossible to comprehend someone who is sleep and understand
that you by thinking so it is out of human rights if we take 18th century England to see
us in the air are you miserable situations and they are the way of living must definitely
be understandable even from a normal people so more putting slaves in Utopia is so
unfair about the choosing voice to ration more explains in Utopia. Everyone has to get
married, and could never get in an intercourse without marriage. It is important because
in 18th century England, even Joe people were Christians. There was not an
appropriate way of having a family life and that’s always an accurate problem. Also, it’s
a religious protestant more especially gave importance to getting properly married and
he gives importance that and make sure that people are getting married with the people
they want you and having a happy life with them but also in protestants live in, they are
not allowed to get divorced but in here they can get divorced, but it says they really
couldn’t see how to be pursuing a good marriage, and that should be approved by some
people so they can get divorced because in utopian survey of understanding Mary
Moore, the way, having good relationships with other people and more focused on
understanding them because if they don’t get well with their self, they won’t be able to
continue live in peace and other important point in YouTube his way of marriage is they
don’t look if the wife is pretty or not because they believe that important beauty is not
gain by the way you look but instead the way you act and the way you think more it
refers to England in the toast times the way the only thing they valued is the way they
looked and the jewelry that they bear and a valued themselves by that I know Sarah
Mercedes about this when they find a valuable stone they get very excited but First,
6
They go to make sure if it is real or not, and they ask and ask several times if they think
that would make them valuable is a thing that they can tell, which is why they value it in
the first place. “Utopia is also England. The reading of utopia as a political text
reinforced by textual interpretation associates, one from conspiracy of
keeping utopia outside the bonds of the known world which Helgerson believes has
been a major political enterprise for the last half of centuries we cannot read utopia
without the fact that it’s the political book not because of a he’s just a counselor because
he is so entry gate with the situations in England, if interpret this text as this century
novel, we cannot understand it very well because the political situations are so different
in England from now mostly because of the Henry the eighth Henry the eighth and his
servants didn’t Urulu England in a good way and it’s responded the others to not obey
him, but they didn’t have any chance because they will going to die if they do any
rebellion just like Thomas more Thomas more also explains the utopian’s jobs. they all
work. And also, it is an important point that we look for what they wear they all wear the
same exact clothings and it’s makes impossible to discriminate them and it is what more
wants we can take this as a Marxist criticism in Marxist criticism. Everyone has the
same objects and they cannot differ at all even though in Utopia that doesn’t cause any
problem, it is impossible to make this happen because people would want to do other
things that they can different themselves from other people, and it is so normal because
if everyone is the same exact product, there won’t be any real formations and changes
in that civilization so it is impossible to make it happen Utopia. After more publishing this
7
book, it makes a big reformation and a big rebellion in England, and also in the kingdom
of the henry the eighth it unfortunately ends up with more’s execution. Even though it
won’t and any of the discrimination in this world it definitely made it to Venus and after a
revolution in England, we owe this Thomas more. Moreover, as I talked about him,
being a very good Christian and protestant is affected the utopian text the religious way
the religious type of living made the utopian world easier to live. It also depends on
people how they react to it being a religious text or not, it is. And more also, to the fact
that people don’t live in poverty because they don’t even have to worry about it as
everyone works there is no need to worry about eating or whatever they are going to do
the other day. Thomas more believes that prevents people wanting more and seeing
themselves bigger than others, and even though they have everything they don’t just
being spoiled by what they have. Instead, they share it with other countries and they
save the rest for the other years and also they use the money for the soldiers that they
will hire. In the end Thomas More intended to make some awareness and try to build a
new world.
