Quenched and tempered structural steel
Of the steels defined in standard EN 100256 + A1:2009, Part 6: "High yield strength structural steels in the quenched and
tempered condition", Ruukki manufactures steel grade S690QL. Ruukki has been authorised to use the CE marking for
steel grade S690QL. The marking is notified of in a supplement to the inspection document.

1) The code "S" for steel grade S690QL means structural steel.
2) The code "Q" refers to the delivery condition, in this case to quenched and tempered.
3) Code "L" means that the average minimum values for impact energy have been defined at a temperature of –40°C.
